The major construction has been paused until the retaining walls at the bottom of the hill have been completed. They reached weight capacity until that is finished. We don’t want that hill to slide into the mummy ride. lol!

This hillside project is simply a retaining wall… nothing special about it other than if it’s not done the coaster cannot continue construction. They are building a series of walls just like the ones above on the upper hill.

For a coaster, they're actually going very slow. It doesn't take much to put up un-themed track. Knott's built Hangtime in 5 months. I know it's a rough terrain but magic mountain has been doing it for years

The coaster would be open right now if it was just a six flags coaster. They've been focused on inclosing the building, and other theming elements (not track). LOTS of track will start going up daily once they put full focus on that.

@@FIVEFIRES And the timing was bad. They started working on grading the hill RIGHT before the rainy season. They would prepare tarps for the rain, then take them off, AND THEN a day later they would have to start prepping for the rain again! This winter should be different since they don't really need to do groundwork anymore.
