- Congratulations to Fire Chief Simone "Sam" Gulisano on his new promotion for the Chesapeake Fire Department. The swearing in ceremony was held on December 18, 2023 and he will officially take the baton on January 1, 2024 from retiring Fire Chief Ed Elliott.
