Kadence is way more powerful and feature rich compared to Spectra. First, You can hide kadence blocks in post editor if you don't want any block. Second, you can set global width of your container (Row layout) using the default option. So, no issue on theme compatibility. And for extra div, you should use the section block instead of row layout.
