I went to play 1/3 in my early days at my local casino & had to wait 30-40 minutes for a seat. While waiting, the guy beside me started up a conversation & we discussed several things over the course of the wait, however one thing we spoke about of note was how his favorite hand was Ten Eight of diamonds & how he gets straight-flushes with it often. I was called up for a seat first, bought in for the max, which was 400. My first hand was pocket aces. I didn't wait, I paid to play as soon as I sat down and raised when it came to me. My aces held, and I took down a couple hundred that hand. On my third hand, the guy I was speaking with sat down, & I got aces for a second time. I took down another large pot and I remember well that my stack was just over 1k. A couple more hands went by when the guy I spoke to about his favorite hand, took down a large pot for himself with non-other than Ten freaking Eight of diamonds and he hit a straight-flush with it. No joke, I was absolutely blown away, I kept trying to tell everyone at the table he literally called this would happen and he just sat there like it happens all the time. His stack was also up to about 1k. So if that isn't wild enough, on the last hand of my first orbit I got aces for a third time & no joke, that very guy who I was speaking about got pocket Kings. We got it all in after the flop and my aces held. I ran my 400 buy in to 2k in one orbit & got aces three times.
Just came over from NorCal pokers last video because he said your from Reno, stoked to start watching your channel. I live right off of south meadows so gotta show my support 🙌🏽
Hi Ben, I just want to say how much I appreciate you putting out videos so consistently every Monday. I very much look forward to them and you never disappoint. You are a Top 5 vlogger in my book.
Was there as you were playing this one - From AZ, but the Pepp is my new favorite all around casino, like the BB only format and good selection of slots.
Having paused it and not seen the outcome yet, I think the KQo fold was a good one. If there's one thing i've learned it's that any time I have trips and my opponent is betting big and putting tons of money in THEY ALWAYS HAVE A BOAT. This is almost universally true. He obviously wasn't afraid of the hearts or the paired board. He either had a made nut flush on the turn or already had a boat.
Hey Ben, Music Trivia Master (musicaldice323) here. Regarding the KQ hand that you had: I was in a very similar situation last week when I played poker in Lake Charles LA. I had the KQ, and the betting went somewhat similar, and I called on the river. Tuens out, my opponent had AK for the win. I strongly suspect that's what your opponent had as well. Good fold!
Last year I played at a poker club and got dealt aces THREE HANDS IN A ROW. The third time, person to my right says "if you show me aces I'll give you 30 right now". I bet preflop and everybody folds, but show the aces and got my 30 bucks yippie!
Seemed like a good Fold of KQo vs 4 hearts & KK, especially when the Villain led the River with $350. OMC played it like Pocket 44 or 55 for a Turned Boat.
He already had a flush on the turn. Based on his disgust that Ben was able to fold the kings due to a 4th heart coming. That 4th heart doesn’t come and he wins a big pot probably.
3 times pocket AA, and neither time they were cracked??? WOW! That crap gets me in troubles only. When win I win small, when lose I lose big. Just hate to see them.
Folding trip kings there is so not “the road less traveled,” in these low/mid stake games. I’d snap fold ur hand. He has a flopped set turn boat or the Ah almost always
This almost sounds made up, but it happened to me in covid. I had aces 3 times in 1 orbit, I got all 3 all-in on the flop vs top pair... I lost all 3 to two pair by the river. Sometimes, you hate aces, yet still love them. Kind of like a toxic girlfriend
BEN ON THE 3 KINGS HAND YOU HAVE NO CALL THERE WHAT IF HE HAS AK AND IS BETTING TO PROTECT HIS HAND AGAINST YOU HAVING A SMALL HEART AK STILL BEATS YOU AND MAYBE WITH THE ACE OF HEARTS.........I THROW IT AWAY FASTER THEN YOU DID AND NEVER WONDER I KNOW THAT IM BEAT
It would take a pretty crazy player to bluff there. I think villian had a flush already and actually the river cost him action. Hence the “makes me sick” comment.

I appreciate that!
I feel like KQ is a snap fold if you aren’t going to turn it into a bluff
I absolutely agree. Anytime someone is piling money in against me when I have trips it's always a full house..
This vlog reminds me of the single time in my poker career where I was actually dealt AA in 3 consecutive shuffles. All of them AIPF and won 2/3.
He probably had the nut flush on the turn. “Makes me sick” because the river bailed you out.

Hearing Bart off the bat, I had to check what video I was watching ^_^ got me
M--fer, perfect response and hilariously unexpected.
That Crazy Joe's was in my hometown Rockford, IL LMAO. What are the chances!?

On PokerBros, I was dealt aces back to back, flopped a set on 1 hand and turned a set on other - lost both lol

He very easily could have had a heart. ❤️ you made a good fold.

Good fold Ben...
Moderation Ben, moderation.
4 flush, paired board. You were beat there.
Thanks for sharing that 55 (flop FH) hand. I can easily put myself in that position, and...lose! lol
I Love Aces!
I was once dealt AA three times in a row. Lost big pots in all three.
Unless the graphics were wrong, and it wasn't actually 4 hearts on the board, that fold wasn't that hard.
It’s a very easy fold. Not sure why he spent so much time on it
Go Braves
Honestly I got pocket AA back to back and then after another hand got them again. I was like wtf 😮
The smart move was the fold. 🎉🎉 No Kayla???
Simp...
3 times pocket AA, and neither time they were cracked??? WOW!
That crap gets me in troubles only. When win I win small, when lose I lose big. Just hate to see them.
That’s a pretty trivial fold, not even a second thought
Only once in my poker career have I gotten pocket Aces three hands in a row. Sadly it was at a 3/6 limit game.
Not reraising Aces pre-flop is #1 on the Fish Top 10 playlist.
I AGREE 100%
At least one of those jokers would have called a 4-bet. Ben cost himself at least $300 not raising
Folding trip kings there is so not “the road less traveled,” in these low/mid stake games. I’d snap fold ur hand. He has a flopped set turn boat or the Ah almost always
A4 are Saskatchewan Aces Ben
Brad booth must know that term
A flush beats 3 kings so the fold looked good.
Win or lose
Always good content
Thanks bro
This three kings on a board that has four hearts, you either have to fold to a bet or raise big. I would’ve folded.
13:35 (KQ) I would fold his river bet. He had AhQx. If river was not a "h" it's a call.
Ms K ?
There I am, tossing my cash away to the Aces...
NO KAYLA CORNER?
Stop simping
That’s such a trap of a hand that third king is a loser every time in that spot “it’s never a bluff” lol

I'd have folded trip kings to four hearts when I don't have a heart.

Before watching I’m gonna guess he mad a total of $180 on those 3 aces hands
I’m wrong. And shocked
4d ad should be called fake Diamonds
I had kk 3 times in a row and lost all 3 of them. 🤦♂️
None of these comments are useful including this one.
Ace of diamonds wants nothing to do w you. I think your ok w that.
First! Deach always trumps Triton!
