Some back story I got from a RUclips interview with David Draiman, lead singer of the band. This song came out in an album that was released in fall ‘22. The official video was just released. Dan Donegan, the lead guitarist/pianist had gone through a painful divorce! He brought the concept of music and lyrics to Draiman so they finish it together. They realized needed a female vocal counterpart. Ann Wilson was the only one he would consider singing with. Years before in an interview, Ann said she admired Draiman’s vocals. He was flattered because he considered he to be the best female rock vocalist! He reached to her. She said if he ever wanted to collaborate, she loved to sing with him, so of course she said yes to this duet. It took almost a year to get just the right video. In the meantime, Draiman, too, went through a painful divorce last year. You can see the intense pain and n his face and hear it in his voice, especially at the very end when Ann voice cuts out and then the background music fades just leaving Draiman’s voice and pain. By the way, I’m a 74 year old grandma that loves so many genres of music! I’m a California girl!
Hi from Indiana. Great reaction.... I love this song. They are both so great. I believe Ann is either 72 or 73 now. Amazing vocals. I also saw Heart a few times back in the 70's. They are so good.
Ya'll did a reaction to Plush a while back, they are currently on tour with Disturbed, David Draiman specifically wanted Plush so their singer could sing this live with them on tour, her voice is so close to Ann Wilson's if you close your eyes Its difficult to tell if its Ann or Moriah. Several live videos out there, definitely recommend. Also Plush just released their video for their cover of Barracuda
