  • Kombucha tea has been around for hundreds of years and there are many claims about its health benefits.
    Once you obtain a mushroom, this is one way to prepare it, and I have been making it for over 30 years.
    After brew has been fermenting for 5 to 7 days it is ready to drink and I drink it warm for a few days after that.
    If you continue to leave it a room temprature it will begin to get a sharp taste (more sugar has been consumed by the mushroom) so I pour the liquid into a pitcher and refrigerate .
    I usuall prepare a new batch at that time.
