Congrats David and Camera Lady. What a wonderful lively bunch of nymphs/eggs with legs. Much luck to the growing these on! Thank you so much for the video too. Take care❤️
My name is Melissa cobb.!! I love watching your channel. I have learned so much as my 12 year old son Travis has as well. He is very much into the Hobbie.!! As of now he has 5 trantula. 2 curly hair, Arizona blonde, pumpkin patch, a brazilian red and white. He so badly wants a vercicolor. I'm sorry I spelled miss correctly. Money is a little tight but hopefully I can get him one for Christmas . I have learned so much myself and really enjoy having these trantula and just watching the growth and how they change with every molt. Some grateful to have a channel like yours that educates and teaches us newbies how to raise healthy beautiful spider's. Thank you so much.!!!!!!!
Congratulations Dave! These aren’t ‘flukes’ - there’s 99% preparation, love, and dedication, and 1% luck from Mamma Nature - the rest we learn from you, your amazing passion for the hobby, and your great channel - you promised some great projects for this year, and overall I think you’ve done fantastic - but I learned all I know from *you* …….so maybe I’m slightly biased, and clueless. 🤔😂 I’m recovering from pneumonia and triple lung abscess so I’ve not been here for several weeks - handy tip: Don’t take your health for granted; especially when you’re over 50 thinking you’re still 35! We *ALL* get sick - I’d give birth to a Panda through an eye socket before going through 3 weeks with a chest drain in again. Nuff bout my woes lol, old soldier, whinge whinge whinge…….. ❤
Hello Dave and Camera Lady. What a lovely success! Cute little wigglers. You know Dave, with people, as our eggs get older, they have a lot less viability as well. Granted we don’t make any new eggs so by the time the are old they are really old. With that in mind I think you have a solid theory there. 😊 I am so happy for your success with this one. I love it when y’all are pleased. Your joy shines through. So, congratulations again to you both and to Mum. She needs some TLC in the form of a good meal I think. The husband and I have not been well so I am off to sleep. Thank you for the wonderful video. Have a great week!❤🤠💛
Woo hoo ! That's much better than the last one. As you said, perhaps higher temperatures do play a role in getting females to produce a sac quicker, therefore resulting in a much healthier clutch in the end. Sweet ! Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
BRAVO DAVE!! I think you're definitely on to something there! The deference in temperature could be the key! I'm sure alot of keeper are struggling to breed their girls! Congrats! That sack was as close to perfect as you could ask! As endangered as this species is... the hobby needs as many as possible!🥰
Oh this was such a nice sac! For being under weight the mother still looked so beautiful. I think all her weight went to those chubby little buggers. Those babies are so big. I can't wait till they molt out to real fuzzy mini Ts. Love how you figured out a possible reason for the recent, not so good, sacs. I know certain animals will not reproduce unless the temps are at a specific range, so it totally makes sense that it might play a role here in the Beastie Room as well. I was nervous after the last 2 sacs, but I am so happy this one was a success. Congrats to you and Camera Lady!!! Thanks for sharing your world and knowledge with us! 👶🏼🕷❤️
Congrats Dave what a success!!! The babies are beautiful and vibrant looks like mom did an outstanding job and you guys did too! Great job camera lady the footage of the babies is great! Well happy times Dave keep us informed on their progress!!🎉🕷
Beautiful egg sac! It certainly does seem that the small temperature difference could have made a significant difference. It sure is worth trying to replicate that. I'm so glad this one was so good! Beautiful babies, beautiful mum! Wonderful video. As I watch various people working with their Ts, I keep hoping they watch your videos too.😁
Awesome video as always Dave and Camera Lady(I would love to know your real name)! I love to watch your reactions when you open up a good egg sack Dave! LOL Its like a kid in a candy store! Grinning from ear to ear 😁😁😁! By the way, when I watch other you tubers who are also into Tarantulas and they talk about breeding and what they did wrong, or even into buying new slings I tell them to check out your channel!
I stayed up hoping I would catch your upload! I wanted to tell you that I channeled my inner beastie yesterday and, using everything I’ve learned from you, rehouse several of my spiders! Including my Psalmopoeus irminia! Just matured male but HUGE! I may have held my breath but I did it! Again, thank you for sharing your amazing knowledge with us! P.S. Can’t wait to see those babies after a few molts!
Congratulations Dave, and your little beasties too!! I really hope that your observations concerning the temperature differences is the edge you need for further success!! That really was a great surprise to see such a healthy looking egg sack, I have been getting used to seeing alot of black eggs, or unfertilized ones, this one was a ripper. Thanks Dave and Camera Lady once again, you guys really do rock this genre of animal husbandry online.👍😃👍
Dave , this is why I love watching your shows. You're all about the science and figuring out how to make it right with these insects, and amphibians and spiders, and to be honest with you I used to have "Arachnophobia " But I'm so interested more on the science of it because of you. And it's so fascinating to me whoever thought I never even thought I would be interested in something like this until I came across your channel. And I know we exchange messages back and forth all the time I just want to say thank you and I believe you're you're cracking it the idea of the paring And how to make it more comfortable for the spiders to have babies. so keep going my man , can't wait to see the next video.keep going and I'm honored to know you ... And like you said; be kind and love your spiders 👍 Thank you Dave.
Always a pleasure to someone doing something they truly love and doing it well. I would imagine the next step is to take one or more females you are sure have not yet produced any egg sacs, and put them up on the top shelf, that way you might quickly determine if the youth of the female or the temperature, post-pairing, is the culprit.
Wow, that was such a lovely egg sac, lots of little pokeys , how long does it take for a nymph to go from tiny to big and beautiful? My eldest son is not good with spiders, he asked me to show him one of the Pokeys and his face turned white. He is going to join the diplomatic service, he could end up in a country with tarantulas but he will refuse a country that has Pokeys, he is a true hero, running onto his bed when small spiders wanders into his bedroom screaming spider spider, my younger son has to grab a glass and rescue the poor tiny spider!
The best cure for arachnophobia is to get him to watch these videos…seriously…it works! Not all spider channels work so well, they can be a bit sensationalist, but Dave is brilliant, so calm and his tarantulas are too. I doubt you’d see a pokie in the wild unless you were looking very hard 😄
@@Solitude11-11 I agree 100%!! I had severe arachnophobia when I discovered this channel. Now when I find spiders in my house it’s literally no big deal. I catch them and release them outside instead of killing them like I used to

For breeding have you thought of using a large, upright breeding tank, just for the Metallica's and cohabitating then for 2 or more days. It should have enough room and hides they can separate from each other. Also maybe think breeding them every other year and have at least 1 pair breeding a year. Some potential ideas. Good luck!

Great to see a full egg sac for you. Is there a big dry and wet season change where these come from? Many animals base their breeding and lifecycles on seasonal changes (light, temp, rain/dry). Might be a trigger in getting them to make an egg sac.
interesting that just a few degrees makes a big difference PROFF. could a heat source make a big deal for the pokie spiders to maintain a constant higher heat with the smaller enclosure. you have gained a great load of information this egg sack. great footage CAMERA LADY and another fine video to the collection. well done the BEASTIE ROOM. --take care guys ,many thanks
