@@aidankreltszheim3599 Not sure exactly - I believe the introduction of D sets will allow more OSCARs to run on suburban lines, eventually replacing the K sets.
ok lol i can't believe i'm commenting about train sounds but that high-pitched whine tangaras have when they stop and set off is so perfect, just such a pretty sound especially echoing through the Redfern/Central underground platforms.
I am fairly sure that the male announcer voice is the same as that on central station ." The next train to depart is the tain to Liverpool via Regents Park "
I couldn't find any audio of that announcement when I made the video. I'm not from Sydney so I thought they didn't have one. I'll be sure to include it if I do an updated video :)
@@kdpt8376Ok then. I'm not from Sydney either but I definitely know they do have an announcement, both from riding them and from various videos I've seen on RUclips. Hope you get to add one when you get a chance.
@@kdpt8376 K-set was my experience of the bankstown line which I used to commute to school or work a lot. Very noisy/rattled, often quite hot and had a distinct smell. The seats also very firm. The Tangara sounds probably my favourite of the lot here.
There's nothing more comforting than being in a old clapped out K Set. They have a sound, smell and character that all the others lack.
Love that. Hopefully I get to ride one before they retire!
@@kdpt8376 when are they retiring the k sets?

Nothing beats the V sets those things were my childhood and that smell of the break blocks is addictive

Nothing beats the sound of a departing M set
Yeah, it's great!
Ok
The millenium?
@@DaliDoneDusted4019 yes...
Me also like department tangara and arriving
Edit: departing*
there is nothing more pleasing to T2 riders than the whine of the B set's motor as it picks up speed

Love it!
The t set tangara sounds so beautiful, it sounds the best in everything
I do like the Tangaras
It sounds so good! You earned a new sub buddy 🎉
Thank you :)
5:52 The Waratah A & B sounds very similar to 'Series E531' in Japan...!
Oh nice, I'll check them out!

Like the Waratah B set especially the arriving departing and doors opening and closing
Nice!

Waratah A is iconic
I don't mind a Waratah A
Why did you do B set a bit deeper than A set they both have the same motor
I used audio from two different videos.
Tangara is the most common on T4 lines so I hear it the most
Nice!
The traction sounds like crack Changchun. Like it

A lot of people like it.
It's really city nostalgia

you should do the queensland trains next. also the millenium set sounds like one of our trains here in qld
Here's the Brisbane one :) ruclips.net/video/V1xPkERFqhc/видео.html
