  • The Ultimate Multi Tool? Sneddens Knockabout Midweek Review.
Multi tools are common. Usually they do lots of jobs but none as well as dedicated equipment. Compromise is the name of the game. This may not be the case with the Knockabout, a solid and flexible piece of equipment. This week I find out if the features work and if they matter.

Good morning Tim, I have had a Sneedons Knockabout for a number of years, and its brilliant. I have a hobby farm and harvest all my own firewood by myself. I have handled the biggest trees and it has saved my chainsaw bars many times. I must admit its heavy, but when it comes to using it to put in pickets its brilliant because of the weight. I actually went to all the agri shows that I could checking out the farm tools and when I saw this being demo by the reps I was sold.

Great review Tim! Maybe I should get one of these Knockabouts.
I've been using an old hand truck/trolley with no wheels (wheels were needed elsewhere) to pick logs up for chainsawing, similar concept, but without the log needing to roll. Just boot the plate bit under the log and pull the handle to the ground. :-)
Not that great if the ground is soft though. The knockabout handles would spread the load nicely for that.
Loving the comedy creeping into your vids too! Cheers mate.

Useful review Tim, just wondering how I fit another tool in the shed. By the way, have you ever used the Davis Starlifter (/log roller) ?
    Keep up the good work.
