Nice! I didn't have a circle mould big enough for a flower I'd pressed, so I put a bangle mould upside down on a silicone mat and filled in the circle. It worked perfectly!
Those bangles are really cool! I love the inclusions that you put in the one. Little-windows has dividers similar to the ones that you made. Your way might be better, though. You can make them any size that you want.
I have the bangle mould and it’s mahoosive, didn’t think I would ever use it but after seeing this it shows it can be used for more than bangles. I do crochet so I’m thinking handles for a bag. Thank you.
I LOVE those bangles so crazy that this is something I’m planning on doing today I am making those and earrings for me and my daughter who will be graduating on Father’s Day! Thanks for the inspiration and HAPPY FATHERS DAY to you
BRILLIANT idea to use the molding silicone, Steve! 😍 Little Windows has a similar divider kit, BUT -- they are so expensive! THANK YOU for showing us how it can be done "on the cheap" (so to speak). 😊💕👍 The bracelets turned out lovely.
I did this technique tonight and realized after I'd put in the first silicone paste plug that I had forgotten the spray. I had to quickly clean the mold and spray it, by which time my silicone had started to set up. After a bit of panicking, it worked! Thanks for the brilliant idea!
I never thought of using those as shopping bag handles. That's an awesome idea!!!! I put a baby screw n hook in some that i made to put on my kitchen cabinets. They're my towel holders. I can't get them over my large hands to save my life. This stopper things are a good idea too. Little windows has some to fit their molds
Those bangles could very easily be used as handles for knitted, crochet or macrame bags, and they would look great! How much were you thinking of selling them for Steve? If you don't mind me asking that is. By the way, I gave the neurographic painting a go, like you showed us in your previous video, and I found my mind trying to take control of what I was doing too much, so I tried using the 3 second rule you mentioned, and that gave me no time to plan or for my mind to interfere. It came out with mixed results and yet it was oddly satisfying and eased the art block I've been having. So thank you Steve for teaching us about that, it was much appreciated. I will be doing way more of it going forward. God bless you and your family. Have a great weekend.
Little Windows now makes bangle stoppers for this very purpose! I haven't tried them yet though. But this is a great idea for those of us who like to fiddle with things and have putty on hand.
discovered something cool the other day ...if you have a clear silicon mold with small chambers that like to hold air (i use uv resin) and hold a bright white light from behind it you can easily see the bubbles ...somehow bubbles go black and the resin clear ....you can fish them all out at that point
Large bangles!!! I can finally have bangles that I can get over my knuckles. For 50 yrs. I have NEVER been able to get solid, round bangles that I could get over my knuckles. These are on my Amazon wishlist now.
That was brilliant! I am totally fascinated by how many substances there are out there that we have to craft with., and Silicone Putty looks like an amazing product. I definately need to try it a.s.a.p. Steve, Thanks again for, the education, the laughs, and of course, for teaching us how to, enjoy our resin!😂
That works well doesn't it. Nice makes Steve. I've a little box full of those stoppers I've made over the years for different size bangles and other moulds - trouble is I mow can't remember which is for which lol
I need these moulds, darn it. I have one tiny bangle mould, which I got as a freebie, and as pretty as it is, my massive hands are incompatible with it. The silicone plugs you made made me think of those kinds of ear plugs which form to fit your ear, and now I wonder if those would work as a poor crafter's alternative for this purpose. The putty would obviously be useful for many other things.
@steve, can I use this on any mold where I want to use different colors and don’t want them to mix or just for bangle molds? I have a couple from Let’s Resin and every time I use a different color it mixes with the other one and it messes up the piece. I’m new to resin as a new hobby. I’ve used UV resin on said molds. Thank you in advance. And definitely love the bangles 😍
Every time I use these molds I get that seam....is there a way to prevent that when you are pouring the resin? I would like to get this right the first time and not have to go back and do more work on the bangle.
These two part solid pastes seem ideal for a project idea I have, but my arthritis makes them a nightmare to use....does anyone have any advice on other ways to mix them?
If you would put the compounds on say parchment paper or waxed paper, you could use it to manipulate by folding the paper together and use the heel of your hand to squish them together then use the paper to fold the compounds on themselves, and repeat until it is a consistent color. Or if you are into polymer clay, use a pasta machine the same way you would condition the clay.
Thank you for making these resin bangles I really appreciate them a whole lot.
Ooooohhhh. Handles for tote bags. ❤ that idea.
ooh, I need one of those large bangle moulds to make handles with. you did it again Dr Mc-Donald. very impressed.
Steve : "always wipe your tip"

You are always coming up with new ideas that I would never think of myself. 🎉

With the larger bangles you can make them into key holder bracelets and put on a lot of stuff!😅
That’s what I was thinking. My daughter loves hers
Nice! Little Windows has these..they are really nice.
Thanks for the great idea using silicone as stoppers/spacers!!
Cool ideas there Steve! Xxx
love your creativeness! I always get inspired to try my hand at being crafty.
Wipe my tip, no gooey mess... omg im dying here! Lmao
Thanks for the tip! I’ll use this as a divider to adjust the bangles to size after curing 👍👍👍
Very cool 👍

Thank you for that demo. I'll try using my pipettes again, wiping is the key. It was a mess when I tried one recently ❤

Those look nice. The larger mold is actually for making wristlets

Iv just made a bag and didn’t no what handles to put on but wow now I do
I will have to buy some of those molds. Because the one i havr i just make for my kids since they are the only ones who can wear them

I used a release spray and it made the contacting sides really dull. I hope they sand to a shine but it’s ruined my resin casts.
Hi how do I get the large bangle mould in UK tried link but not found I tec newbie love all your videos x❤
Every time I use these molds I get that seam....is there a way to prevent that when you are pouring the resin? I would like to get this right the first time and not have to go back and do more work on the bangle.
Since you only hear this guys voice…
I always get a kick out of wishing that this was actually ERIC IDLE giving us art tutorials! 😎🤩😂🤩😎

I know you’re colourblind but it is nice to see you using fresh new colours
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I get that totally 💯 hope your enjoying your heat wave over there. I left uk the day before the 30 degree started.
The larger ‘bangle’ moulds are bag handles for handbags
I have extra large wrists so I would use that as a bangle.
I tried making 2 of them and they came out soft not hard what is wrong all my other pieces where hard
Bangles are usually too big for me.
Nope... Not amazed . Saddened if anything..
