- Until a few years ago, I didn't know anything about English Paper Piecing.
With a help of my talented friend and EPP books, making hexagons became one of my favorite thing when I am around with my family, aka watching TV. haha
I share how to make a hexagon, how to connect, remove papers from the hexagon panel.
You can skip that part if you are a EPP pro. :)

Big bag: 7 1/2’’ wide x 5 1/2’’ high x 2 1/2'' deep
▸ Materials and Supplies
•39 - 3/4’’ (1.9cm) hexagons which you can find online.
•Assorted print scraps: 39 - 2’’ x 2’’ squares for hexagon panel
•Quilting cotton: fat quarter for the pouch side and back panel
•Quilting cotton: 1/2 yard for lining and binding
•Quilting coton: 4 1/2’’ x 15’’ for zipper binding
•Foam Stabilizer: 1/2 yard such as Soft and Stable or Pellon Flex Foam
•Zipper: at least 13’’ (*double slide zipper is in my shop.)
•Fabric glue stick
•#10 Big eye needle
•80weight applique thread such as Aurifil
•Optional leather tab: two(2) 1/2’’ x 3’’
•Optional D-ring: one set 5/8’’(17mm)
•Basic sewing supply, walking foot and 1/4’’(6mm)foot
•Optional Leather strap: You can find on Etsy by searching leather straps.

Minki, you manage to make things that seem complicated to be not so scary to achieve. I've been sewing for decades but I always manage to learn something new or are reminded of techniques when I watch your videos. The way you break it down even a confident beginner could do this. I think the hardest thing would be for them to put on a zipper pull but even that's not really hard. I want one of these but taller - more like a box with a removeable lid in a hexagon shape to keep my hexies and supplies in.

I usually cut the hexagons and sew 1/4 inch to join each of them in a row. It’s much easier

what size template do I use to make the 3/4 " hexagon? Do I use a 1"?

Since you use washable... wiill elmers glue work with this?
I haven’t tried so I am not sure.
If you use glue, can you still remove and reuse the template/paper? Do you cut those paper hexies yourself or are they pre-fab?
I usually use threads and reuse. I saw people use glue and reuse. I buy precut paper hexagons. You can find online.
