Then came ChatGPT, an AI chatbot that has gone viral, becoming the fastest-growing app with 100 million active users just two months after launching. Technology reporter Chris Stokel-Walker explains how the latest chatbots could jeopardise the careers of anyone who interprets information and generates written reports or commands.

If Super General AI can "self accelerate" it may get so fast that the physical world would appear painfully slow. A bit like us trying to have a conversation with a tree.
In which case, with no-one to talk to, could AI ultimately go insane?

Yay, more models that bring you lockdown to look forward too, AI is not replacement for politicians as can be used in their favor as AI not perfect, it miss many times a lot of variables that a human mind could take into considering if actually use your brains.
And that you would see that as final and too be always correct because is more "intelligent" is a very very bad and dangerous combination

universal basic income is basically the only choice left. I have seen how Chatgpt answers some very difficult medical question, and my professor was blown away. He thinks the answer AI gave back is almost perfect. You have to understand that chatgpt is not specially trained in the medical field yet. If the developers want, AI can totally replace most doctors. BTW, there was a Chinese AI team that used a robot to do dental surgery earlier. The only job that robots/AI can't replace is the scientists who feed new data to the AI.

(AI) has the potential to automate many jobs, but it's difficult to say whether it will come for your job specifically. Some jobs are more susceptible to automation than others, depending on the nature of the work and the skills required.
Jobs that involve repetitive tasks or manual labor are more likely to be automated in the near future. For example, jobs in manufacturing, data entry, and transportation are already being transformed by AI and automation. On the other hand, jobs that require creativity, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking are less likely to be automated.
However, it's important to note that AI is not a replacement for human intelligence and skills. While AI can automate certain tasks, it cannot replace the unique abilities and perspectives that humans bring to the workplace. In many cases, AI is being used to augment human capabilities and enable workers to focus on more complex and strategic tasks.
Overall, the impact of AI on jobs will depend on the specific industry and occupation. It's important to stay informed about the potential impact of AI on your field and to develop skills that are in demand in the current and future job market.
