Absolute GOAT! I had to get a second one because my first one sat in the chair too long and the uniform on the back got discolored and the pants at the knees wouldn't snap back. Simple museum pose for this now.

A grail for Star Wars collectors for sure . U can’t complete OT without this guy although it’s a rather simple figure . But that head sculpt .. one if the best ever for sure .He was immense in his presence in the movie. Another figure that nobody wanted when released and now is going double the price . Awesome review as always mate

Yeah prices are wild! A reissue would definitely help in this case tbh. Would be good to see updated body, uniform, hands etc and maybe they can chuck in the movable eyes! 👊🏻

Such an amazing thing to have in your collection. For any original trilogy collector, imperial collector, or just a Star Wars collector, this is something special to own. Those of us unlucky enough to not been in the hobby when he was released can only dream of owning him.

Think that is excellent advice you give about buying him separate from Vader to reduce costs.

I’ll have to pick this one up one day when finances allow. I’ve bought quite a few older figures as I’ve turned my focus to OT figures. I never worry about re-releases as I enjoy the figures and if they announce a re-release it’s probably 18 months away anyway. My most recent pickup is the Sideshow Imperial Probe Droid which is awesome. It pairs up well with a couple of Snowtroopers and Snowspeeder Luke.
Pricey to buy older figures but worth it I reckon. I did the same, just took my time and picked them up when I could. Love that probe droid, congrats! 🙌🏻 👊🏻
1000 quid for the two pack is pretty steep mate! I didn't have a lot of money when either of these were released, so that's why I don't have 'em. Vader is an imposing presence, but c'mon, Tarkin held the leash and he's the boss! Nice review as always!

Great figure one of hot toys best, amazing how well done for the age of him, I have Kaustic Plastik Dr Van Helsing coming this year along with Christopher Lee Dracula so interested to see how this Peter Cushing headsculpt compares to this hot toy goat? I am so glad I was able to get the Tarkin and Vader two pack it’s great looks cool in my collection. Will definitely do a new collection tour. But lots of people do reviews I like taking pictures of the figures so might need to a new picture collection tour 2024. I want to stand out

I’m still looking for right Tarkin to buy. Missed out on one recently on eBay that sold for £599 but I’m not wanting to spend over £400. That £1100 twin Tarkin/Vader set was the same seller…..Prices are high but is definitely a trusted seller.

This is one of the first Hot Toys I got....and at the time, I didn't even want it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 My retailer had the Darth Vader/Tarkin two-pack on sale and I bought that. I wanted the Vader, could care less about Tarkin. I was shocked to discover how much he was selling for on the after-market.

I got the Tarkin and Vader Twin pack for Christmas 2019, 2nd hand, but Tarkin was never removed so was in effect new! Got it for the expencive price of £400 😲🤣Can't believe how much the pack would go for now. Oh my DX28 Vader is ordered (non holo but with all the damaged/new bits) should be here later this week

I got the Vader Tarkin 2 pack. It's definitely a better Vader than the first release New Hope Vader. I think that it's based on the Rogue One Vader, but I'm not 100% sure. It is a great set though,. I was lucky to pick mine up at regular retail.

Definitely need a 2.0 as well as Leia next year we’re getting a new Han so why not Tarkin & Leia.

This is my sort after figure,I've nearly hit the button twice on him but just could not justify the price ... I keep My eye open hoping I might see one cheaper or open to trade or even one without the Box or something
One will pop up sooner or later for you I'm sure mate! But I know what you mean, I passed up the Vader Tarkin 2-pack lots of times just cos the price was way too much than I was willing to pay! Good luck with your hunt!
It's a quality figure, but I don't think they 100% captured him. You can tell it's Peter Cushing, (which is the main thing I suppose!), but I think the eyes are a bit off, and the hair is defo too dark.
Hot Toys could've added some carpet slippers in the accessories to give a bit of 'behind the scenes' authenticity! 😂👍
Edit: Actually, I've just watched your 2023 Collection Room Tour and I've gotta say, Tarkin looks *amazing* in that video! Just shows how these figures benefit from certain light sources!
It’s a crazily good figure, still standing the test of time too! 100% agree with you, lighting can play a massive part in how the figure looks, particularly with headsculpts!

Always awesome to see Tarkin, didn't you get this as a two pack with vader? I thought you did, because I seem to remember you having the interrogation droid.
I never get tired of seeing this figure on the shelf! No never got the Vader Tarkin 2 pack as it's always been out of my price range! The interrogation droid is also packaged with the original ANH Vader (which I have), so yeah you're right you will have seen it in a video or two on the channel 😃 👍🏻

Yes!! He always seems a bit slouched or leaning slightly whenever I try and put him on the chair! Glad its not just me 😅
Hi bud, I have the double pack of this figure and got it at a good price not long after released. ( £400) The main reason is that I am a BIG fan of Peter Cushing.
I grew up watching lots of his films.
Now I know lots out there say how amazing his head sculpt looks. Yes hot toys did a great job but not perfect. I see Peter there but it looks more of CGI head sculpt. Don't get me wrong I love the figure but the head sculpt to me is not quite right. However it does fit in with any Star wars collection and is a very sort after figure. The prices he goes for now are unbelievable.
Chris your video's are just fantastic and show everything we all want to see and your doing very well. So keep it my my friend and long may it continue. 😊
