Many thanks for this. Dysphasia is when there is a disorder of speech content due to a lesion in the dominant cortex. Expressive dysphasia is due to a lesion in the posterior dominant frontal lobe, and sensory dysphasia is when there is a lesion in the superior temporal lobe (called Wernicke's areA).

Hey, that was some nice tips. But I kind have questions for you or anyone… I also noticed this video is 2 years ago, and hope somebody can see this comment of mine😅so about my problem, I don’t have any surgery or injury anything related to speech. But I think I might have a minor dysarthria, but not so sure. Because, a lot of times, I couldn’t say the word out with somebody beside me. If all by myself, that’s no problem. I can speak so much fluently all by myself, but with someone standing that’s when start to happen. And also, I making long drag noise to trying to pronounce the word, which kinda awkward to me. Even sometime I couldn’t say it out. There’s also some specific letters with specific words. For example, S : sleep, slip, etc. H : Help, Heat, etc…. G: garage, group, etc…. Which is so simple words, that first graders can even say better than me😢 so, is this can be dysarthria? Is just so awkward that I can’t say it smoothly.

Dysarthria is clearly caused due to neurological condition and the complains you’re stating doesn’t sound as they are the characteristics of dysarthria
If you are experiencing prolonging of the initial syllable or repetition of the sound when you’re speaking that is disrupting your fluency , it can be stuttering
And as you said, you may not have difficulty when you’re by yourself, but when with others you have the social anxiety and it happens even more
Try to reduce your rate of speech if you are someone who speaks really fast and for the appropriate intervention it’s best to consult a speech language pathologist who will have a detailed assessment done so that the management can be done accordingly

    Please explain 🙏

    • @khathijaraiza720

Childhood stuttering is different from dysarthria. In an individual with dysarthria you see slurred speech as the main speech characteristic and it is caused by any neurological condition
Also for the Stuttering , you need to get the intervention from the speech language pathologist in your early days so that it doesn’t affect you socially and emotionally as you will have have conferences, group discussions , interviews and many more in future

Could someone please help me. So, whenever I try whispering my voice sounds clear. When I talk without whispering in a normal voice I sound weird and my voice always sounds so weird its most definitely the opposite of smooth. Even when I try talking in a normal voice its hard to sound clear I always talk in a high pitch voice instead so I would not sound weird with a voice which sounds like its vibrating and unclear. I wish for someones help if you could help please try so. I am a boy and is 14 years old. I also tried researching a lot and I cant find much I drink a lot of water and I do not shout so this could help but I can not see a difference. My voice has been like this for a year.
