I went to a school for 7 years where I drifted between "friends" and in the end only had one true friend in my year. I got bullied really badly and had to report some form of bullying almost every year I was there. On top of that, my dad passed away suddenly at the beginning of the summer before my 5th year. I am also transgender and this year I began wearing the boys' uniform. People two years below me started to look up to me and we became close. Next week I turn 18 and the week after i have my last exam and after that I will never be in that school again. The last line of the chorus explains how I feel. I am moving on from the 7 years of absolute hell. They can never hurt me again because they are out of my life for good. To anyone who feels alone, or who is hiding a secret, or who has lost someone close to them or who is being bullied, I've been there and it does end because I'm experiencing the end of it now. Never give up hope.

I had a hard youth, with a woman gaving birth to me but never showed me love, only hate and violence, manipulating me for her own good. I was bullied in schools, stepped from one school to another, was bullied for my body, bullied for being helpful to other bullied kids, bullied for being kind to kids of another skin. I was bullied when I grew up and found my love for men. I found a way to get rid of the woman who brought me to life before she could end it, hoping she will never find a way to make me sick again. I was surrounded by people abusing alcohol and drugs without ever falling to that level myself, I lived on the street ... I somehow managed to love women when men were betraying me too much. I never had parents showing me the right ways to live. So I had to fight my whole life to find my own ways. I lied to people to feel special, I betrayed people to feel special, I tried to commit suicide many times, I found love and lost it many times. I'm not proud of what I did wrong. But I'm proud of what I became. Until now I never abused drugs or alcohol. I made my own way into university (although I didn't pass). I found a wonderful woman who is my fiancé since 2014. I'm learning for my drivers license right now while I'm actually 35 years old (never had the money nor the parents to pay it earlier). I'm losing weight, very slowly, but I do, not to feel accepted, but to feel healthy. I still got my problems due to what happened to me all those years. But I make my way, even published the start of my fantasy novel this year which was in the making for over 15 years. Demi is inspiring me since I discovered her music few years ago, but since then I have another musician to give me strength whenever I suffer from the demons of my old life and the demons of my present. Stay strong, whoever might read this. It's a hard fight to find own ways into a better life, but it's worth the process. Share the love.

I would love if she would also talk a little bit about sexual assault, everyone knows it happens and if you she talked about it as well as everything else she talks about, imagine how many other people she would be helping.

I Remember When I was staying the night at my cousins and this was on, and in the UK It came on at 3am, I stayed up all night for this and it was so much worth it! Also I was keeping my cousin up to watch it as well! I didn't go to bed till 6, Because after the show, I had to do a little fanboyin! But OMG! I Remember When I was staying the night at my cousins and this was on, and in the UK It came on at 3am, I stayed up all night for this and it was so much worth it! Also I was keeping my cousin up to watch it as well! I didn't go to bed till 6, Because after the show, I had to do a little fanboyin! But OMG! This performace made me cry! her speech is so powerful and heartfelt! its so amazing that we do have an rolemodel like demi !

My boyfriend and I were talking about Demi last night and we both agreed that she is such an awesome rolemodel for everybody compared to so many other performers who degrade themselves just to get attention and make money. I mentioned that Demi as a performer has always had a solid sense of integrity and core values.

It's never easy, but it wasn't easy for her either and she managed to stay strong. I first trusted my friends and they helped me to stop harming, my mom knows now too and is nothing but supportive. It's worth a shot I'd say.

@@bobtalks I hope you can get back on track. Forgive yourself and leave the unhealthy habits behind, over and over again, every single day. Like Demi said, recovery is possible, but it's a daily battle. There's times when you mess up, but don't let those bad days define you and keep fighting❤
@@sarahrybak1920 I really do want recovery to be possible. Most days, the addiction is stronger than my resolve. I want it to be possible but it seems so hard.
