It helps with combat mechanics. A lot of the mechanics are quicktime events to determine the potency of attacks and defenses, so having cooking be qte as well helps you with keeping to the "rythm" of the gameplay. Cooking = good practice for battle sequences.
@@vanmiandcovel5607 i know WHY they do that, but it's just a easy trick to do some gameplay when you think the story or main gameplay is not enough. but i think their story and dialogues solo are better than repetitive QTE, who annoy everybody, since the 10th times. i know their are a little studio and QTE is simple to do (compare to a good gameplay mechanic), it's just pity
@@juliendda644 I personally think in the overall structure of the game and how it comes together, the placement of the QTE is actually solid. Cooking is very much a rythm as anyone can tell you and so is a battle, and QTE can capture the sense of rythm. I understand that QTE is not for everyone, but theythemselves are not a bad option for gameplay. Honestly if you do not like rythm games, I do not recommend this game as it is a great combination of rythm game mechanics and turn based rpg's.
looks fun story but QTE gameplay...
you can do best than QTE !
