GREAT DANCING, GOOD BAND, MY PARENTS ARE FROM SAMOS SO IM A SAMIOTISA AS THE SONG GOES WOMEN WITH THE DARK EYES, PYTHAGORAS COUNTRY , RICH HISTORY, BEAUTIFUL SAILING BOATS.WE STILL KEEP OUR TRADITION ALIVE IN OTHER COUNTRIES. SAMOS WILL ALWAYS BE ALIVE UNTIL DEATH. GOD BLESS ALL. GREETINGS FROM .. Australia.❤❤❤
I keep coming back to this youtube as a joy, just so great to be alive and dancing late on a perfect Greek evening. Very sexy to see men who clearly enjoy dancing and tradition and are extremely good at it. Yeah.
Even growing up in Florence, Italy... There will always be a super special place in my heart for Greece. They strongly embrace their culture. Express it in dance even today. Fabulous culture. Wonderful people. Gracious and warm. OPA!
If I ever doubt my love of Greece - after all, it can be very frustrating at times, I watch this and it restores my faith. Men totally engrossed in their culture and traditions and moving wonderfully, as their fathers and grandfathers did. Not at all self conscious....oh that English guys could have danced like this when I was young!!
Samians are the coolest of all the islanders, never conquered, real mountain man rugged like the island and the Samian women are awesome they write songs about them for a small island it has the history of a massive nation ,Pythagoras , Aristhous , lLgthetis , Aesop .Samian war ships
Robert Badia I replied above the information you about the video that might be helpful. Now, I am going to search for a CD and may even have to get some cousins of mine to get it for me in Greece! LOL
Beautiful! My parents are from Lekka Samos... And i would spend many of summers there and live in person these beautiful moments! Even though I'm a Greek canadian, im proud to have lived these Greek moments! Samos rocks!
I love this Video! I'm an Asian raised w/ Greeks so I can feel their kefi! The song sounds like a mix of several songs. I like their version of Kali Tihi. I don't know name of the dance. Vallejo, CA!

Samos and Samians are the best ,magical green island, strong proud man and woman alike indapedent never been conquered no turk blood in us ,all the boys can dance like this and we are great lovers ,OPPA xx
Watching these two young men and how synchronized their movements are, I couldn't help wondering if they were part of a dance group. Lots of Greeks join these groups for love of dancing, being with friends who have the same interests, and a pleasant way of keeping fit. Once on a trip to Florina the group of friends we were with stopped at a restaurant for lunch. It was a most pleasant lunch because a bus full of people who were apparently part of a dance group also stopped for lunch. They started dancing some of the traditional dances in that part of Greece. It was wonderful. As long as Greece is full of people like this, the Germans and their banks can go to hell........................................
Can I just say this I just returned fr MYKONOS nothin but shit Anglo Synthesizer shite Constant bombardment actually I sooooooo love Greece still nevertheless
For those of you who are wondering, this is traditional Greek dancing and I found information on the bouzouki group "Nikos Sarantou:" lead vocals Antonis Vourliotis! I hope this helps.
My grandfather used to dance this way with his friend. Sometimes he would dance with a glass of water on his forehead with a whole line of dancers behind him. Other times he and his friend would use a white handkerchief that they'd each hold onto as they did dips, and spins. It was wonderful to watch, but I can't find anyone dancing that way on RUclips. Is this something my grandfather made up or is it done by other people? They were from Sofiko. I really enjoy these videos of the men dancing. It reminds me of my pappou.
I haven't seen old fashioned Greek Dancing like that for decades. Miss it too. Try searching Greek table dance. Two professional young guys did the traditional dance with the glass of water, dinner chair & table.
@@ceilconstante7813 Finally! If took 50 years and through the magic of RUclips, you've helped me find dancers who could balance a glass of water or oozo on their forehead like my Grandpa did at weddings in 1940s Astoria, NYC! Thank you so much!!!
@@LoveFlatfootin1 I'm so happy I could help!! I'm reliving my younger summers in Kavouri. Greece listening to Incredible Greek folkk music. I think you'll like it!! 🙋♥️From FL
Agree or disagree...I thought it was cool as hell that it took 3 dudes to bring the dancer's their round of drinks! It was way cooler when the leader smoking all the while.. took his last puff of his CIG and slyly tossed it over onto dance floor( of course it was swept up at closing time cuz Greeks are great at keeping things in order, presentable and clean!

Very charismetic and most definitely fills us Hellenes with pride. Yes there is culture here.
Wow, these guys dance with such spontaneity and ease capturing the soul of this beautiful music.
