I am listening back on a nostalgic trip from 13 years ago....travelling through Central America being introduced to this somewhere, maybe Panama...then heading to Europe after some months and coincidentally seeing them play an uplifting inspiring live show at Sziget Festival. So many great people in between, so many amazing places. What a life
I will admit I was surprised when I found out the song was actually about battling alcoholism. Adds another level to the song, in my opinion!

I'm a little confused here. I've been really into Yeasayer's music but I admit I've rarely seen them play live (even on video). I didn't know that Anand sang but in this song he sound even better than Chris. Does anyone know how long Anand has been singing lead for them and whether Chris is still lead on other songs?

@RadioDJBorton I don't really think that they concentrate on "lead" vocals because they both use their voices when it sounds better for the song, I feel.

They had some internal issues with Luke Fasano, therefore they chose someone else. I liked the live energy Luke brought though

Think they a little less cow bell in the mixing for this..None the less real good on the Musicians parts.
i love this band. however.........i am rather sad the old drummer is absent on their 2nd outing into the world. he was a huge part of their initial sound. and while i love the fact that they interchange vocal duties so much, i must say, chris keating's forced breathless soul is more to my liking than the other guy. the other guy is a better singer....but that makes him less compelling and dynamic than chris. imo...
