Clearly, the Bible states that women should cover their hair (i.e., wearing a hijab), should not drink alcohol, should not eat pork, should not fornicate, should not commit adultery, should worship God by prostrating. Yet, from what I know and see, Christians clearly oppose these teachings of the Bible. What is this? Do I need to be an idiot to be a Christian?

Bishop Faustus: “It is certain that the New Testament was not written by Christ himself, nor by his apostles, but a long while after them, by some unknown persons, who, lest they should not be credited when they wrote of affairs they were little acquainted with, affixed to their works the names of the apostles, or of such as were supposed to have been their companions, asserting that what they had written themselves, was written according to these persons to whom they ascribed it .” (Faust, lib. 2. Quoted by Rev. R. Taylor: Diegesis, p. 114.)
Jonathan Morrow: . . . this Gospel is technically anonymous." However, when it comes to the four Gospels, there is no one specifically to defend (i.e., because it is technically anonymous).
Martin Hengel: According to Mark” were used much earlier than previously suspected (Studies in the Gospel of Mark [Minneapolis: Fortress, 1985], 64-84). These titles were added sometime before the end of the first century, prompted most likely by the presence of two or more gospels that needed to be distinguished.
Bill Mounce: It would have been nice if there were ancient publishers that had statements of authorship and dates of writing, but there weren't. Rather, we must rely on scant historical evidence, but in the case of the Gospels the evidence is not really that scant. We can comfortably believe that the traditional authorship of the four Gospels is accurate, and that means Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were in a place to know who Jesus was, what he did and what he taught.
Dr. W Graham Scroggie, Moody Bible institute, Chicago, one of the most prestigious Christian evangelical missions in the world: “It is human, yet divine”; “...Yes, the Bible is human, although some out of zeal which is not according to knowledge, have denied this. Those books have passed through the minds of men, are written in the language of men, were penned by the hands of men and bear in their style the characteristics of men....”
Kenneth Cragg, the Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem,. . . Not so the New testament . . . There is condensation and editing; there is choice reproduction and witness. The Gospels have come through the mind of the church behind the authors. They represent experience and history.....” (The Call of the Minaret”)
Dan Wallace, conservative Christian textual scholar, Dallas Theological Seminary: Scholars have for a long time recognized that the Gospel writers *shape* their narratives, including the sayings of Jesus. A comparison of the Synoptics reveals this on almost every page.
David. M. Carr, Union Theological Seminary, Colleen M. Conway, Seton Hall Univeristy: All four of the canonical gospels were originally anonymous. It was only in the second century CE, when the four gospels were published a a collection that the superscriptions were added to the gospels, attributing authorship to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John respectively. This is also the time that traditions begin to appear about the authors, claiming that they were either original apostles of Jesus or close acquaintances of other well-known apostles. in spite of these attributions, most scholars do not think any of these men were the original gospel writers. None of the gospels is written in a style that suggests the authors was present at the events being narrated. Nor is it likely that the disciples of Jesus were able to write in Greek, the language in which the gospels were written. So we are left with the reality that the gospels were written by anonymous Christians decades after the events that they relate.
Dr. Dale Martin, Yale University: The four Gospels were published anonymously… they seem to have been written with no authors names attached. We don’t know how or when these names were attached to these Gospels’ that is lost to history.
Dr. David E. Aune, University of Notre Dame: The four Gospels were written anonymously between A.D. 70 and 100, and assembled into a collection about A.D. 125. The authors did not provide them with titles, others added them later.
Dr. Ben Witherington, Asbury Theological Seminary: Formally speaking, all four canonical Gospels are anonymous since their authors names are not mentioned anywhere within the context of the verses themselves… The superscript of each of the four Gospels is not an original part of the document.. it was likely later appended to the scroll for identification.
Raymond E. Brown, PhD, Catholic Biblical scholar: The view that the evangelists were not themselves eyewitnesses of the public ministry of Jesus would be held in about 95% of contemporary [biblical] scholarship. The designation that you find in your New Testament, such as "the Gospel According to Matthew" are the results of late-second-century scholarship attempting to identify the authors of words that had no identification. No evangelist indicated who he was.
The original copies of the New Testament books have long since disappeared. Even the true identity of their authors is to a large extent a matter of debate. The time gap between the original accounts of the events and today's surviving manuscripts is a period of over 200 to 300 years. Before this time no written witnesses are available to establish the authenticity of Christian claims. With the exception, that is, of tiny papyrus fragments from the Gospel of John (three verses) and (so its is claimed) from the Gospel of Mark. Because of their fragmentary nature, they are of no great value in establishing the texts of even these two Gospels, let alone the New Testament as a whole. (The Interpreters Dictionary of the Bible)
James D.G. Dunn, Emeritus Professor of Divinity in the Department of Theology at University of Durham, Minister of the Church of Scotland and Methodist preacher says "But if we are to submit our speculations to the text and build our theology only with the bricks provided by careful exegesis we cannot say with any confidence that Jesus knew himself to be divine, the pre-existent Son of God." As a Christian, I must say you answered these questions very level headedly, and each argument sounds believable. But you missed some small details in a few of your answers, and if I may, I would like to defend my faith and address them:
    1. If anything in creation cannot be God, but God can do all things, is it or is it not in his power to take on a human body and interact with his creation?
    2. I do not know if the Quran copied from the bible, but I do know that the Bible was originally written in Hebrew and Greek; whenever something is translated, it is not possible to translate it perfectly, synonyms in one language do not mean quite the same in another. For example, in greek there are multiple terms for love; agape = self-sacrificing love, philia = friendship love, eros = erotic love, and several more, but English only has "love" to describe all of them. Why not the same for pharoah and king, are they not both terms for rulers? I do not think a simple translation issue is a strong enough argument, you would have to go back to the original text of both works to have an argument that is worth something.
    3. The books of the bible has always been 73 since the Synod of Hippo in 393 CE to now, nothing has been added, and nothing has been taken out (at least in the catholic bible). There was some confusion in the 16th century about the deuterocanonical books being inspired or not (and thus are not in the protestant bible), but archaeological findings of the Dead Sea Scrolls are just one proof that they are indeed inspired.
    4. If the Christian faith was a farce, how are there historical accounts of Jesus and his disciples from an unaffiliated Jewish historian, Josephus, and at least two Roman historians, Tacitus and Tranquillas, who wrote about the events happening in Judea and Rome at that time?
    5. I completely agree with you on this one. It is wrong that different Christians have rejected the bible. The bible and the traditions passed down with it are the cornerstones of our faith. You cannot reject the bible and still be a good Christian, because then where is your guide?
    6. I would also agree with you here, it is unfortunate that on average we as Christians do not know our faith well. But there are the few of us who do.
I hope this was not too long, and I do hope you don't mind. Thank you for being considerate and reading what I had to say.

      @penguinbabeez 10 месяцев назад +9

On the translations, I believe he is referring to the various versions of the Bible that have been published. For example, the King James Bible is written as King James VI and I wanted it to read like, purposefully mistranslating words from original literature so that his rule would not be criticized or questioned. So the argument becomes, if the truth has been presented to you, why is there a need for so many versions of the same truth, in order for everyone to accept it? While works can be translated across languages to varying levels of accuracy, it begs the question why there is one Quran, yet so many versions of the Bible in its working, irrespective of language and entirely focusing on what is written?

      nicely said

    • @sophzadnik5565
      @sophzadnik5565 10 месяцев назад +19

I think I get what you're saying; why do we have so many versions of the Bible but only one Quran. That can be explained if you go back to the 15th century before the Protestant Reformation. For 1500 years, up until the PR, there was only one "edition" of the Bible that was preserved by the nuns and monks in the monasteries, and this edition is the same one Catholics currently use - not the King James Edition. But the video wasn't talking about that, it was talking about inconsistencies in translation, which is not a good argument as there are many words that mean similar things. Just as if I said "I would like a glass of milk" could also be written as "The person who is formulating this text has a thirst for the nectar of the bovine species." They both mean the same thing, the only difference is the choice of words. All I was saying was that the video's translation argument was not an argument at all, just a misunderstanding of how language works. @@penguinbabeez

If God is able to do everything, can God cease to exist or create another God more powerful than him?

    • @sophzadnik5565
      @sophzadnik5565 10 месяцев назад +17

No he cannot - there is a principal in metaphysics (a branch of philosophy) that states that no effect can be greater than its cause, in other words something cannot give what it does not have. For example, a human cannot give birth to a dog because it does not have a dog's dna. This principal also works in the reverse, something cannot come from something lesser. Dogs cannot be created from trees, because animals are higher beings than plants.
The same principle can be applied to God: if God is indeed All powerful, he cannot create something with More power because that would imply he was lacking something that this new god has. This contradicts the principal stated above because that would mean that God is giving something he does not have. But we just said that he is ALL powerful and not lacking in anything.
So no, God cannot create a being more powerful than himself as that would be a negating his title of All powerful. @@HaFii23

St. Irenaeus on the authority of Polycarp also said he heard from St. John himself, that Jesus was not crucified at the time stated in the gospels but lived to be nearly fifty years old in Against Heresies. O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Alläh and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Alläh and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Alläh is but one God.
Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Alläh as Disposer of affairs. (4:171)
The Messiah would never be too proud to be a servant of Allah, nor would the angels nearest to Allah. Those who are too proud and arrogant to worship Him will be brought before Him all together. (4:172)
As for those who believe and do good, He will reward them in full and increase them out of His grace. But those who are too proud and arrogant, He will subject them to a painful punishment. And besides Allah they will find no protector or helper.(4:173)

the real killer to the trinity is this : According to the trinity, jesus was FULLY GOD and FULLY HUMAN at the same time whilst on earth. If you don't agree with this, you're committing a heresy. Also according to the bible, Jesus did not know the hour whilst he was on earth. As God is all knowing, that means that it is logically impossible for Jesus to have been fully God whilst on earth, hence the trinity is incorrect.

      @answersfromscriptureonline 2 года назад +37

Nearly every argument he made against so-called Christians was strawman. I have travelled the world interacting with Christians and Muslims. Typically the Muslims revert immediately to insults and profanity. Believers in Jesus would refrain from profanity. Just because the speaker does not grasp a concept does not make that concept illogical. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all knew Jesus and we have historical record about them as well. But the most important historical record is the divine revelation itself, which remains inerrant and preserved regardless of the lies ex-Christians tell. Nearly every argument he made against Christianity is made against Islam. The speaker asked supposed Christians who supposedly claimed they didn’t need the Bible, how they knew their revelations weren’t from Satan. The same can be asked of Mohammad, who gave the verses about Allah’s 3 daughters and later rejected them because Satan had interjected them pretending to be Jabril. How did Mohammad know that other revelations he recited from Jabril were not also interjected by Satan. If the Quran is God’s Word and God’s Word cannot be corrupted, why did Uthman have to collect and destroy all the variant readings? Why did many of the variant readings of the Quran survive this attempt and can be found on display in a museum in Istanbul among other places. Again, I pray those spreading their propaganda meet up with some true believers.

      1. why would he need to divide himself into 3 parts if hes capable of doing everything by himself?
      2. how is it that if god divided himself into 3 parts that why are those 3 parts not the same?

First of all, Jesus making a bird from clay is umbilical. And God took on the human from to make his dwelling among us; which was necessary to be the sacrifice for us to be cleansed from our sins. When God decided to take on his human form, he voluntarily restricted his knowledge to have a human nature, and yet fully God at the same time. (Humans don't have all wisdom, but God had to do this in order to serve us by dying for us, despite the fact we don't and never will be worthy of his grace) However, Jesus still revealed and displayed his divinity and knowledge on other occasions (John 2;25, 11;43-44)@@ebm4205 But, when Jesus resurrected, his wisdom was unlocked, and had full access to all of it. The Bible was written over 1500 years@@vze21gwa Which Bible are you speaking off exactly and which books as many of the manuscripts, like those of John that are used most often to try to prove Jesus is God came after the time of Islam
All prophets pointed towards a messiah? Not God or the son of God, right? The Jews had prophecies of two messiahs actually and those prophecies were not names but descriptions and some of those descriptions fit Jesus and some do not; some of them only fit Muhammad and no other prophet.
Sorry, but there is no evidence of the first believers in Christ following or believing in him as other than a prophet of God like prophesized in the Torah and the messiah. There is no evidence of any prophet or Jesus himself ever saying he was the son of God or God. On the contrary, what Islam says about Jesus is exactly as those who first believed in Jesus say about Jesus. Islam also has nothing in it proven false. You can believe as you like, of course, but beliefs aren't evidence and Islam has evidence.
Please check your facts on when the Bibles were written.

    • @vze21gwa
      @vze21gwa 10 месяцев назад

      @@nunya54 Okay, here goes:
      1) The oldest manuscript we have of the book of Job is 1500BC, 3500 years ago; written in Paleo Hebrew to be exact. The new testament was done by 90AD. We know this because it does not mention the destruction of the second temple. The early church fathers quoted the New Testament and the trinity.
      2) The Messiah was always said to have Godly characteristics: Isaiah 9:6 refers to him as mighty God. Psalm 110, David says "My Lord said to my Lord sit at my right hand while I make your enemies into a footstool". Read Job 9:30-35. The Messiah was to have Godly characteristics. Muhammad was NOT a Jew, nor did he live near the area. God did not give Arabs any prophecies, nor did he make any covenants with them.
2B) The Jews had a problem interpreting some of the prophecies so there came about "The Two Messiah Theory" whereby they believed that there would be two Messiahs. Messiah Ben Joseph (the son of Joseph) who would be the suffering servant, and Messiah Ben David (the son of David), the conquering king. They couldn't understand that Jesus was going to come twice, once to die for our sins, the second to reign forever.
      3) The first believers believed that Jesus was the son of God. So did the early Church Fathers. Polycarp for example was the Bishop of Smyrna and a disciple of John the Apostle. He believed as did Justin Martyr and Ignacius. Also, the disciples themselves did miracles. Yes, they did miracles. Peter rose Dorcas from the dead Acts 9. Paul rose Eutychus from the dead in Acts 20. The disciples were constantly telling people the miracles came as a result of Jesus Christ.
      4) The Quran was written 600 years AFTER the Bible and it does have contradictions!. Surah 5:116 says that Mary is part of the trinity when that has NEVER been a core belief. Also, Surah 96 says man was created from a blood clot, while 25:54 says water. Which is it? Muhammad did no miracles at all. He could not be a prophet. Buddha, Confucius and Muhammad are all in their tombs. Jesus lives and is alive. All other faiths are works-based, except Christianity, which is grace based.
      5) Jesus himself said that he was God. John 8:58 when he said "Before Abraham was 'I am'." The term "I am" is how God referred to himself. John 10:30 Jesus said "My father and I are one". The people understood what he was saying. God is a trinity, John 1. When Jesus came down from heaven he left his glory behind John 17: 1-5. He came in the form of man and took all the limitations of a man, even unto death. But, because he was sinless, death could not hold him.

    • @nunya54
      @nunya54 10 месяцев назад

@@vze21gwa I hope that you will try to learn on your own and verify information as some of those details are incorrect. Muhammad performed many miracles, just like and similar to the ones Jesus did. He also fits the criteria in the Bible to know when a person speaks from God and their are descriptions of him that do not fit anyone else. Moses, Noah, Abraham, they're all dead too and according to Christians, Jesus died as well. That does not disprove prophethood unless you're rejecting all the prophets in the Bible. Christianity is grace based but that's not what Jesus taught. That's what PAUL taught (and he was considered an apostate of the law, a heretic and a liar posing as rabbinically trained). Jesus taught salvation through repentance, obedience, faith and works AFTER God's grace and mercy just like Islam teaches and just like all the prophets before Jesus taught. Since these ideas Paul borrowed from the pagan religions where he made his religious base among, incarnation, redeemer, savior figures, begotten sons, trinities and triads, they were probably grace based faiths too as he was trying to make Christianity as easy as possible to accept and do to attract pagan converts. Drop the work and just accept Jesus though there is nowhere Jesus says that himself and James and Jude refuted Paul for teaching that.
It's literally two verses that mention the Trinity and Mary is not in them. The Trinity is not mentioned in verse 5:116: And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen. See, no Trinity. Why is this mention? Because Mary WAS worshipped by Christians but not part of the Trinity. The Collyridians worshipped Mary. Catholics, who pray to Mary, worship Mary by the definition of worship in Islam.
The Quran was NOT written 600 years AFTER the Bible as many manuscripts of the Bible came hundreds of years AFTER Islam, like manuscripts of John with the highest Christology. What would the time period matter though as Jesus came how many years after Moses? So the Jews are justified in rejecting Jesus and the New Testament for that same reason?
Jesus himself cannot be proven to have said anything in the Bibel since John can't be proven to be real and he never met Jesus nor does he say where he heard Jesus say those things. Jesus also said to make his disciples one with God too. 114.)
David. M. Carr, Union Theological Seminary, Colleen M. Conway, Seton Hall University: All four of the canonical gospels were originally anonymous.
Raymond E. Brown, PhD, Catholic Biblical scholar: The view that the evengilists were not themselves eyewitnesses of the public ministiry of Jesus would be held in about 95% of contemporary [biblical] scholarship. The designation that you find in your New Testament, such as "the Gospel According to Matthew" are the results of late-second-century scholarship attempting to identify the authors of words that had no identification. No evangelist indicated who he was.

      🔴 *The Apostle Paul's Terrible Error* 🔴
      📍In the Old Testament:
=>the Holy Place contains: Table of Showbread (Showbread on it) + Candlestick + Altar of Incense.
=>the Holy of Holies contains: Ark of the Covenant
" Hebrews 9:2-4 " *“²For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. ³ And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; ⁴ Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant”.*
      There are three errors :
      - Firstly, Paul mentioned the Table *AND* the Showbread, knowing that the latter is *ON* the Table. (Exodus 25:30 “And thou shalt set *upon* the table shewbread before me alway.”)
      - The second error is that Paul mentioned the golden censer in the Holy of Holies. Moreover, If we suppose that the golden censer is an element in the Holy of Holies, why was it not mentioned in the Torah or in the Jewish heritage? It is not logical that it's not mentioned in the Torah and then Paul mentioned it after that. The fourth verse mentioned the golden censer then the Ark of the Covenant which contained the Golden Pot, Aaron’s Rod, and the Tablets of the Stone; if the golden censer was of Aaron’s legacy, then Paul should have mentioned it among the contents of the Ark of the Covenant, not in the Holy of Holies.
      - The third error is that Paul did not mention the Altar of Incense at all.
      - *Father Matta El Meskeen. The Epistle to the Hebrews: Explanation and Study, pp. 519-520:* the Altar of Incense: the Apostle Paul did not mention it here, and the reasons and interpretations differed.... and in Hebrews 9:4, he mentioned a golden censer, baffling the commentators, because it is known that the Altar of Incense is in the Sanctuary.
      - *John Gill's Exposition:* but here a difficulty arises, how this can be said to have been in the holy of holies, and within the vail, when, according to Moses, it was without the vail, and was only carried within on the day of atonement; and so Philo the Jew (a) places it in the other part of the tabernacle; and it seems as if it was to avoid this difficulty, that the Ethiopic version has removed it from this verse to verse the second, and put it among the things that were in the holy place.
      - *Franz Delitzsch. Commentary On The Epistle To Hebrews, pp. 54-55:* Such being the Hellenistic usage, and in particular that that of Josephus and Philo, whose phraseology has so many points of resemblance to that of other author, it seems impossible to escape the conclusion that θυμιατηριον means here the incense-altar, and nothing else. It would be, moreover, a quite inexplicable omission in this connection, had he said nothing about it. But if θυμιατηριον here I the altar of incense, the sacred writer appears to be involved in the grosse error of supposing that this golden altar, of which Philo says correctly that it stood between the golden candlestick and the holy table… and Bleek draws thence the conclusion that he could not have been a Jew of Palestine: but even supposing him to have been an Alexandrine Jew, he must have been a monster of ignorance and forgetfulness to be capable of such a mistake.
      - *Ellicot’s Commentary for English Readers:* The incense-altar and the ark are coupled together, and the word which describes their relation to the Holiest Place is that which, a little later in this verse, distinctly signifies "containing." So weighty is this consideration that many have been unable to avoid the conclusion that the writer has erred in this matter of detail; and various suppositions have been resorted to in explanation of his mistake.
      - *Expositor's Greek Testament:* ... and the versions of Symmachus and Theodotion in Exodus 31 use θυμιατήριον for “altar of incense”. Besides, the form of the word indicates that it could be used of anything on which incense is offered. It was, therefore, understood of the “altar” by Clement Alex. and other fathers; by Calvin, who says, “quo nomine altare suffitus vel thymiamatis potius intelligo quam thuribulum;” and by most modern scholars. As has frequently been urged it is incredible that in describing the furniture of the tabernacle there should be no mention of the altar of incense. Difficulty has been felt regarding the position here assigned to it, for in fact it stood outside the veil; and the author has been charged with error.
✴️One of the commentators say that Paul mentioned the golden censer in the Holy of Holies for fear of theft and to be in a safe place, and this is very funny because the commentator forgot that the Candlestick and the Table are plated with gold. Therefore, the commentary is ridiculous, because even if the golden censer was moved to the Holy of Holies for fear of theft, the Candlestick and the Table are plated with gold too (Exodus 25).
🔴 The question remains, why did Paul not mention the Altar of Incense? There are two solutions, the sweetest of which is bitter; either Paul did not write by inspiration or he is an ignorant liar.

Greetings and Blessings, Well Christianity is not a forced religion and so true Christians are not going to punish oppositional behavior because Vengeance is the Lord's. He will repay. Besides, the Bible is clear that unbelievers have a spirit of disobedience working within them... There are only children of God and children of the Devil. So, the rebellion and hatred are inevitable and too be expected as Jesus warned his disciples about it. Also, there is no such thing as a Christian nation because the Christian mandate is to make disciples of all nations teaching them to obey what Christ commanded. Love God and Love their neighbor as themselves. I don't expect rebellious people to accept God's ways and standards... they haven't encountered Him and been spiritually transformed by Him... so someone wearing a t-shirt such as you mentioned would just be in alignment with the God haters that the Bible talks about from Romans 1. Punishment, Fear, and Force to get someone to adhere to one's religion is not anything a Christian would condone. -Blessings from Tajji in Tanzania

The reason I believe Muhammad is that Jesus had already talked about false prophets in the beginning and BAM. 6 Centuries later Muhammad comes up with Quran. Bruh give me break if you want to say Muhammad is right then he at least had to be around Jesus. But he wasn’t and this is 600 years later. Just to sum it up, without the Bible you have no Quran. [Surah Baqarah :6]
"God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment."

    • @Its_Just_Joel
      @Its_Just_Joel Год назад

How do we know that this guy is wrong?
      1. His explanation of the Trinity is wrong. The trinity works similar to the Sun, there's the Sun in the sky, the sunrays that come down to your room and the solar panel which powers your house. The Sun is God, the rays that come down are Jesus and the solar panel is the Holy Spirit. The sun is in the sky, but it's also in your room and your house is being powered by the Sun. The rays come from the Sun, and the power comes from the rays. If you had read the Bible honestly you would have seen the order is that Jesus comes from the Father. The Sun is not dependent on the rays. The rays come down to us because if the Sun did, we'd die.
      2. I've never heard this claim before but I'd like to point out the Bible also says woe to the one who changes the word of God. "These are added in"? Really? Modern day Quran's which have been translated to English also have things added in because more words are needed to convey one word from Arabic. The changes aren't that drastic unless you're talking about some crazy translation made to purposely mess with the Word of God.
Ah, the classic king, Pharoah, argument, the Bible wasn't written in English, it was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. The word Pharoah, is from the Egyptian word 'Pe-ra' which means great house. As with all words, this term evolved over time to eventually become the term used for the king of Israel. But I would also like to point out that the Joseph story wasn't written as the story was happening, it was written at a later date, when the term Pharoah had likely become known.
Did the Bible copy from the Quran? Well comparing the two, I'd say the Quran copied from the Bible, seeing as the Torah had been around for a good while. The Quran is basically like the Bible but with many many additions that form a foundation for the faith (e.g. Abraham and Ishmael building the Kaaba), if the Bible had copied from the Quran, there would have been more information in the Bible than the Quran. You get my drift, the changes are so random and normally have to do with the beliefs that would later be expounded on.
      3. Refer to point 1. But logically speaking, let's look at Isa (Jesus in the Quran), why is he the only prophet who was raised to Allah? Even the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) died. This is what sets Jesus apart from all other traditions, the fact that He was raised to the father. The Quran talks about the Injeel (Gospel) and calls it a divine scripture [even though it's not the Quran] which Isa was given to guide His followers. So from a logical point why don't all Muslims read the Gospel seeing as this prophet who was born of a woman who never knew a man, did many miracles and was raised to Allah had teachings? Because there they'd find He is the messiah and came to take away their sins but that would counter their foundational beliefs.
If prophets spoke the word of God, in that case why could they be beaten, killed, etc? The Bible says God moved on holy men to write the scriptures, like a prophet has a voice and appearance which differs from another, the same happens with writings. The word of God has been translated into differet languages and still changes the lives of those who read it. Words must be changed because words change meaning over time. Calling someone gay once meant they were happy, so an old book changing the word gay to happy does not make it corrupted.
The sixty six books are confirmed in the scripture, in that in the old testament, the golden lampstand which represents the word of God has sixty six knobs on it. The original eighty two books contained writings that were historical accounts or ficticous stories or unecessary additions without verifiable proof of their sources. It's like how Sunni muslims don't use Hadith al-Thaqalayn.
Your poison analogy is fallacious, if things from something holy are taken out, it makes it less holy not poison.
Why would the disciples write autobiagraphies when they were following the son of God? Makes no sense.
      4. Wow there are three John's?! Really disproves Christianity! Islam doesn't have this name confusion simply because the Quran doesn't mention a lot of names aside from the person the book is about and the patriachs.
I have never heard of the new Jerome commentary, therefore it's dishonest to make it sound like every Christian knows what you're talking about.
This could be said about the Musilim faith too: "I'm getting information from the hereafter by people I don't know, from a book that they wrote inspired by God that's full of what I think to be mistakes and they are telling me about a God that makes no sense." This is basically what religion is, that's where faith comes in.
Believing your arguments are true is Janazah.
      5. Christians who reject the Bible are not a good example of Christians. It would be as unfair if I said Muslims have now started bombing places.
Jesus doesn't need to match in people's visions. When Jesus appeared to his disciples he transformed himself so they couldn't recognize him. People can see Jesus in different ways. Muslims in Iraq have shared testimonies of seeing Jesus and converting to Christianity. They know it's Jesus by what he tells them to do, Satan wouldn't tell you he'd take away your sins and help you live a righteous and holy life. P.s. this would also happen f you'd asked people who claimed they saw Muhammad (peace be upon him) what he looked like.
      6. True because of two things.
No. 1. Most Christians today aren't really Christians, they were just born into a Christian family.
No. 2. Because the foundation of Christianity is faith not logic and faith doesn't have to make sense. The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God and without faith it is impossible to please God. So friend faith isn't the best for winning arguments and winning arguments is not the goal of Christianity.

      Matthew 17:21
KJV: "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
Reason: The verse closely resembles Mark 9:29, but it is lacking in Matthew in א (original handwriting), B, θ, some Italic, Syriac, Coptic and Ethiopic manuscripts. It is, however, found in this place in some Greek mss not quite so ancient - C, D, K, L - as well as some other mss of the ancient versions. It is believed to have been assimilated from Mark.[12]
      Matthew 18:11
KJV: "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."
Reason: This verse is lacking in א, B, L (original handwriting), θ, ƒ1, ƒ13, some old Italic, Syriac, Coptic and Georgian manuscripts, and such ancient sources as the Apostolic Canons, Eusebius, Jerome, and others. It is found in some other sources, not quite so ancient, such as D, K, W, X, and the Latin Vulgate. It is not found in any manuscript before the 5th century.[13] According to Bruce Metzger, "There can be little doubt that the words [...] are spurious here, being omitted by the earliest witnesses representing several textual types... [This verse was] manifestly borrowed by copyists from Luke 19:10."[14]
      Matthew 23:14
KJV: "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation."
Reason: This verse is very similar to Mark 12:40 and Luke 20:47. This verse is lacking altogether in א,B,D,L,Z,θ, ƒ1, Ethiopic, Armenian, several Italic, and Syrian and Coptic manuscripts, and the writings of several early Church Fathers. It appears before verse 13 in K,W, and several New Testament minuscules. It appears after verse 13 in ƒ13, some Italic and Syriac and Coptic manuscripts. The fact that it is absent from the most ancient sources of multiple text types and that the sources that do contain the verse disagree about its placement, as well as the fact that it is a repetition of verses found elsewhere, show "that verse 14 is an interpolation derived from the parallel in Mark 12:40 or Luke 20:47 is clear."[14]
      Mark 7:16
KJV: "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear."
Reason: This verse is nearly identical with verses 4:9 and 4:23. This verse here is lacking in א,B,L,Δ (original handwriting), some Coptic mss. It is included in manuscripts only slightly less ancient, A,D,K,W,ƒ1,ƒ13, Italic manuscripts, the Vulgate, some other ancient versions. As it is missing in the very oldest resources and yet is identical to verses that remain, many editors seem confident in omitting its appearance here.[citation needed]
      Mark 9:44 and 9:46
KJV: "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched." (The verses are identical to each other, and to 9:48, which is still in the main text)
Reason: Both verses 44 and 46 are duplicates of verse 48, which remains in the text. Verses 44 and 46 are both lacking in א,B,C,L,W,ƒ1, and some manuscripts of the ancient versions, but appear in somewhat later sources such as A,D,K,θ, some Italic manuscripts and the Vulgate. It is possible that verse 48 was repeated by a copyist as an epistrophe, for an oratorical flourish.[15] The UBS text assigns this omission a confidence rating of A.
      Mark 11:26
KJV: "But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."
Reason: This verse is very similar to Matthew 6:15. This verse appeared in the Complutensian Polyglot and most Textus Receptus editions but Erasmus omitted it and noted that it was missing from 'most' Greek manuscripts.[16] The verse is not in א,B,L,W,Δ,Ψ, some Italic, Vulgate, Syriac, and Coptic manuscripts, and the Armenian and Georgian versions. The UBS edition gave the omission of this verse a confidence rating of A.
      Mark 15:28
KJV: "And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, "And he was numbered with the transgressors.""
Reasons: This verse is similar to Luke 22:37. It does not appear here in any New Testament manuscript prior to the end of the 6th century.[17]
      Luke 17:36
KJV: "Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."
Reason: It is possible that this verse is a repetition of Matthew 24:40. Even the King James Version had doubts about this verse, as it provided (in the original 1611 edition and still in many high-quality editions) a sidenote that said, "This 36th verse is wanting in most of the Greek copies." This verse is missing from Tyndale's version (1534) and the Geneva Bible (1557). Among major Textus Receptus editions, this verse does not appear in the editions of Erasmus (1516-1535), Aldus (1518), Colinaeus (1534), Stephanus 1st-3rd editions (1546-1550), but it did appear in the Complutensian (1514), the margins of Stephanus' 4th edition (1551), and all of Elzivir's and Beza's editions (1565-1604).[18] In modern conservative Greek editions it is also omitted from the main text of Scrivener's Greek NT according to the Textus Receptus, and the two Majority Text editions. Verse 36 is included by very few Greek manuscripts of the Western text-type and by Old-Latin and Vulgate manuscripts.[19][20]
      John 5:3-4
Main article: John 5 § Interpolation (verses 3b-4)
KJV: "3[...] waiting for the moving of the water. 4For an Angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had." (Not only is verse 4 omitted, but also the tail end of verse 3.)
Reason: It is considered unlikely that these words were in the original text of the Gospel. They are lacking in the "earliest and best witnesses", and several ancient Greek manuscripts that do contain them enclose them with markings indicating doubts about their authenticity, the passage contains words or expressions that appear nowhere else in John (such as the Greek words for "at a certain season [meaning occasionally]" and "stirring" and "diseases"), and the manuscripts that contain this verse differ among themselves as to the wording.[21] The UBS text gave the omission of this verse a confidence rating of A. This verse was omitted from Edward Harwood's Greek NT (1776), marked as doubtful in Griesbach's editions (1777), and thereafter generally relegated to a footnote, enclosed in brackets, or omitted completely.
Henry Alford wrote, "The spuriousness of this controverted passage can hardly be questioned."[22] Without the words at issue the context simply states that a swimming or bathing pool in or near Jerusalem was a gathering place for sick and crippled people, some of whom sought to get into the pool (either for physical comfort or for ritual cleansing) and it was there that Jesus performed miraculous healing. However, the words quoted above complicate this story by asserting that miraculous cures were already taking place at this pool in the absence of Jesus, owing to the unpredictable intervention of an (apparently invisible) angel. This passage in John 5 is the only mention of this pool - no such miraculous pool is mentioned in Josephus or other histories.[23] The words in question do not appear in the oldest manuscripts, and in those manuscripts that contain them they are sometimes marked as doubtful, and differ from manuscript to manuscript "with that extreme variation in the reading which so often indicates grounds for suspicion".[24]
The italicized words do not appear at all in p66, 75, א, A (original hand), B, C (original hand), L, and some Italic, Syriac, Coptic, and Latin Vulgate manuscripts, and in quotations of the story by several early Greek Fathers. Verse 4 ("For an angel ...") appears but without the concluding words of verse 3 ("waiting for the stirring of the water ...") in A (where it says the angel "bathed in the water" rather than "descended into the water"), L, 18 (14th century), and an Egyptian manuscript. The concluding words of verse 3 but not any of verse 4 appear in D, 33 (9th century), and some Latin manuscripts. The entire italicized passage appears in C (third hand), K (also with the angel "bathed in the water"), Δ,Θ,Ψ, and numerous other manuscripts, and some Italic, Syriac, Coptic, and Armenian manuscripts, and several Latin Fathers, Some manuscripts - S,Λ,Π, and a few others - contain the words enclosed by marks of doubt. Among the manuscripts that contain this sentence-and-a-half, there are many variations and permutations.[25]
The Revised Version (1881) omitted the italicized words from its main text, making the passage read: "... a multitude of them that were sick, blind, halt, withered. 5And a certain man was there ...", and as a side-note, "Many ancient authorities insert, wholly or in part," and here present the italicized words exactly as they appeared in the KJV. Several modern versions similarly relegate those words to a footnote, and some others (such as Moffatt) include the words in the main text but are enclosed in brackets with an explanation in a footnote.

      @@bruhmanthetruthprovider2201 John 5:7-8
      Main article: Johannine Comma
KJV: "7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the holy Ghost, and these three are one. 8And there are three that bear witness in earth, ..."
Modern versions: (omitted from main text and not in a footnote)
Reason: A multitude of books have been devoted to just this verse, including A Vindication of I John V, 7 from the Objections of M. Griesbach [by Thomas Burgess] (1821, London); Das Comma Ioanneum: Auf Seine Hewrkunft Untersucht [The Johannine Comma, an examination of its origin] by Karl Künstle (1905, Frieburg, Switz.); An Historical Account of Two Notable Corruptions of Scripture by Sir Isaac Newton (published posthumously 1785); Letters to Mr. Archdeacon [George] Travis in answer to his Defence of the Three Heavenly Witnesses by Richard Porson (1790, London); A New Plea for the Authenticity of the Text of the Three Heavenly Witnesses or Porson's Letters to Travis Eclectically Examined by Rev. Charles Forster (1867, London), Memoir of The Controversy respecting the Three Heavenly Witnesses, I John V.7 ˈ by 'Criticus' [Rev. William Orme] (1830, London), reprinted (1872, Boston, "a new edition, with notes and an appendix by Ezra Abbot" ); and The Three Witnesses - the disputed text in St. John, considerations new and old by Henry T. Armfield (1893, London).[50] Eberhard Nestle, writing in Germany at the end of 19th century, said, "The fact that it [the Comma Johanneum] is still defended even from the Protestant side is interesting only from a pathological point of view."[51] F.H.A. Scrivener, usually regarded as a defender of the KJV text, said of this verse, "The authenticity of [this verse] will, perhaps, no longer be maintained by anyone whose judgment ought to have weight; but this result has been arrived at after a long and memorable controversy, which helped keep alive, especially in England, some interest in Biblical studies."[52] The UBS gives this omission a confidence rating of A.
Early Church Fathers did not mention this verse, even when gathering verses to support the Doctrine of the Trinity.[53] This verse first appears, not in a New Testament manuscript, but in a fifth century Confession of Faith, and after that it was assimilated into mss of the Latin Vulgate, but it was (because of the lack of Greek documentary support) omitted from the first two "Textus Receptus" printed editions of the New Testament (namely those edited by Erasmus, 1516 and 1519),[54] as well as some other very early Textus Receptus editions, such as Aldus 1518, Gerbelius 1521, Cephalius 1524 and 1526, and Colinaeus 1534.[55] Stephanus (Robert Estienne), in his influential Editio Regia of 1550 (which was the model edition of the Textus Receptus in England),[56] was the first to provide an apparatus showing variant readings and showed this verse was lacking in seven Greek manuscripts.[57] Martin Luther rejected this verse as a forgery and excluded it from his German translation of the Bible while he lived - it was inserted into the text by other hands after his death.[58] The first appearance of the Comma in the main text of a Greek New Testament manuscript is no earlier than the 15th century.[59]
Doubts about its genuineness were indicated in printed Greek New Testaments as early as that of the first two editions (1515 and 1519) of Erasmus of Rotterdam, who simply left the verse out because he could not find a Greek manuscript containing it, providing a comment that "this is all I find in the Greek manuscripts".[60] Expressions of doubt also appeared in the edition of Stephen Courcelles (Étienne de Courcelles), in 1658, and from Johann Jakob Griesbach's edition of 1775. Most critical editions relegated the Comma to a footnote or otherwise marked it as doubtful.[61] The American Bible Union,[62] a Baptist organization, omitted this verse from the new English translation of the New Testament it published in 1865. The Roman Catholic Church was slightly more resistant about yielding up this verse; an 1897 decision of the Holy Inquisition forbade a Catholic "to deny or even express doubt about the authenticity of" the Johannine Comma, but this was effectively reversed by a declaration of the Holy Office on June 2, 1927, which allowed scholars to express doubts and even denials of the genuineness of the Comma, tempered by the fact that the Vatican would have the final authority.[63] The 1966 Jerusalem Bible omits the Comma without a footnote. The spurious nature of this verse is so notorious[64] that even the Revised Version of 1881 did not bother to include nor provide a footnote for this verse, and many other modern versions do likewise. Ezra Abbot wrote, "It may be said that the question [of excluding this verse] is obsolete; that the spuriousness of the disputed passage had long been conceded by all intelligent and fair-minded scholars. This is true, but a little investigation will show that great ignorance still exists on the subject among the less-informed in the Christian community."[65] Even the two leading editions of the so-called Majority Text (Robinson & Pierpont, and Hodges & Farstad) omit this verse (the Hodges & Farstad edition acknowledge the 'Textus Receptus' version of this verse in a footnote).
      Other omitted verses
      Matthew 20:16 (b)
KJV: "16[...] for many be called, but few chosen."
Modern versions (RV): (omitted without a footnote).
Reason: These familiar words are not in א, B,L,Z, several cursives, Sahidic, and some Boharic and Ethiopic manuscripts, but appear in slightly more recent manuscripts such as C,D,W,θ, and Latin manuscripts. Tischendorff's 1841 Greek NT was reportedly the first printed edition to omit this clause. The same words appear in Matthew 22:14.
      Mark 6:11 (b)
KJV: "11And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the Day of Judgement, than for that city. 12And they went out, and preached that men should repent."
RV: (omits second sentence of verse 11).
Reason: Many (perhaps most) modern versions emulate the Revised Version and simply omit the sentence in question, without any explanatory comment. This is a complete sentence and yet it did not receive, in the Textus Receptus editions, a verse number of its own. It does not appear here in the majority of important codices, such as א,B,C,D,L,W,Δ,Θ, and Latin, Sahidic, and some Syriac and Boharic manuscripts. It does, however, appear in some significant manuscripts, including ƒ1,13, A, two very old Latin manuscripts, and some Syriac and Boharic manuscripts, and with slight differences in minuscule 33 (9th century). It was already doubted even before the KJV; this sentence does not appear in Wycliff (1380), the Bishops' Bible (1568), and the Rheims (1582). Westcott and Hort omitted it and did not even mention it in their Appendix volume, nor is it mentioned in Scrivener's Plain Introduction to Criticism of the New Testament, nor is it mentioned in Metzger's Commentary, nor does it get even a footnote in the Souter[66][failed verification] or UBS Greek New Testament. Henry Alford's edition of the New Testament includes this sentence in the main text, but bracketed and italicized, with the brief footnote: "omitted in most ancient authorities: probably inserted here from Matthew 10:15."[67] The same two sentences do appear, without any quibbling about their authenticity, in Matthew 10:14-15, and it is plausible that some very early copyist assimilated the sentence into Mark, perhaps as a sidenote subsequently copied into the main text. In any case, its omission from Mark 6:11 does not affect its unchallenged presence in Matthew 10:15.
      Luke 4:8 (b)
KJV: "And Jesus answered and said unto to him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
Modern versions (RV): (omits the words "Get thee behind me, Satan:").
Reason: The emphasized words, although by now a very familiar quotation, are omitted from the RV and most other modern versions; it was also omitted by the Wycliffe (1380) and Rheims (1582) versions. This clause is not found in א,B,D,L,W,Ξ, ƒ1, several cursives, and Latin, Sahidic, and many Syriac and Boharic manuscripts. It is present in A,Θ,Ψ,ƒ13, and some Italic manuscripts. It is believed probable that the clause was inserted here by assimilation because the corresponding version of this narrative, in Matthew, contains a somewhat similar rebuke to the Devil (in the KJV, "Get thee hence, Satan,"; Matthew 4:10, which is the way this rebuke reads in Luke 4:8 in the Tyndale (1534), Great Bible (also called the Cranmer Bible) (1539), and Geneva (1557) versions), whose authenticity is not disputed, and because the very same words are used in a different situation in Matthew 16:23 and Mark 8:33. The omission of this clause from Luke 4:8 in critical texts is so well-established that no comment about the omission appears in the Appendix to Westcott & Hort, in Scrivener's Plain Introduction to Textual Criticism, or in the UBS New Testament.[citation needed]

The Bible was never meant to be the "Word of God." It's just a consolidated collection of many different books. The Council of Nicaea, a council of Christian bishops from 1,700 years ago, decided to determine which biblical books were canonical and which were not. They decided to leave out the Apocrypha and the Gnostic writings, despite their contents being highly significant.

It is a myth that the council of Nicaea chose the books of the Bible. The council of Nicaea didn't even talk about the Canon. That was the council of Carthage if I remember right. The council of Nicaea was organized by Constantine to answer the question about Aryan and if his views were heretical. He did so in order to unify the church. The church though, condemned him outright which was against Constantine's hopes. He was disappointed. Constantine's sister was an Ayrian and convinced him to become one also. The myths about Constantine are prevalent but they are myths, in this regard.

As a Christian, I have two issues that really prevent me from ever converting to Islam.
In the first sourates it is written that the Quran is a book coming from God even Though we know Mohamed could not have written the Quran himself and that the Quran was written by his successor after oral transmission from Mohamed. That means that some sourates don't come from the mouth of the prophet Mohamed? Why is it "this book" and not"these words"? The Quran is crystal clear, the Arabic "ktb" means book and nothing else.
The whole Jesus case is really disturbing. If he was not crucified then the purpose of his messianic mission is not fulfilled. Islam does not only reject the divinity of Jesus Christ but also his title of Messiah, because he would not fulfill what the prophets of the old testament said about the messiah. I struggle to understand a Christ who was not crucified, and who will come for destroying the christians in the laterdays.

God is perfect and he doesn't need another creature to be perfect. Which is why only he deserves to be worshipped. AND DO not lie! Jesus in Islam is described as the messiah(AL-MASIH in arabic)
