Hi Nathan maybe I need to try the bigger ones too I’d probably buy the 8-10ft ones if I buy them I’m enjoying trying different ladders and seeing which I prefer 🙌🏼
Pete delighted you got a henchman ladder amigo. I have the 8ft which I found has being a game changer for my business👍 great video fella. Damien from Cork City
I’ve had lots of people say they do some just like henchman just as good but cheaper I can’t judge as I’ve not tried them all These little ones I’m trying are henchman ones and feel strong
Hi Pete nice video loving the music DJ PETE the tattoo gardener ✌🏼🤘🏼🎶🎵🎶 Nice of Paul to let you use his tripod ladder Just seen you got a KMA135R nice man awesome machine great combi
Thanks rob I really try hard when picking music it’s really catchy music I love it I used to do some dj stuff for abit of fun abit like eye ball Paul Kevin and Perry style 😂 Great fun thanks for watching buddy have a great day tomorrow
if its the petrol tank you can use TARYL PUTTY made for petrol tanks , or replace the tank see micks mowers Ryobi strimmer has starting and running issues...20 .48 on time line hope it helps
I have a 8 foot headman ladder and find it extremely stable and feel very safe on it. I wouldn’t have the rubber feet when on soft ground as the claws provide more stability too. Great video.
Thanks James I still haven’t got round to getting one as yet I’ve still got my little giant ladders At somepoint I’ll invest the 12ft tripods are brilliant too I’ve since tried the bigger ones and loved them
i see stihl brought out some new kit like combi the tank you can solder melt cables ties into in just empty tank run feul out and leave lid off to evapourate whats left for a day then do it
Hi Pete, yes you can get a new tank on the kombi any stihl dealer can get you the parts drawing and order the parts for you. I wish I had the space for tripod ladders. Using a trailer at the moment so have combi ladders which I do OK with. It's always about adapting to what we have. Great video as always mate.
You'll love the stihl battery combi. Everyone that bought them from my last employer loved them, it was only the price that put people off them. I use the makita 18v x2 combi and the hedgecutter is a beast. Customers love the lack off noise nearly as much as I love not wearing eardefenders. I run an inverter in my glove box, just have to remember to run the engine for 15 mins if charging more than 2 sets of batteries without driving. I always carry a spare starter battery or the boost pack just in case. It's a learning curve just how much you can get out of the limited power you have.
I bought the 10ft henchman couple months ago, really stable, like Nathan said they’re much wider at the bottom. You won’t be disappointed if you get one.
Yeah I’d go for the 10ft if I were you, just gives you that extra height when needed. I use it on lower hedges no problem. Also you have about 2ft extra height in the legs.
You can just buy a new tank, an easy swap over. The 3 legs are alot more secure on the bigger one. I use the 10foot hendon ladders. The bottom 2 legs are spread very wide apart, very secure, also all 3 legs are adjustable so its always stable and flat on uneven ground.
I brought the 12 ft,but every jobs so different. story of my life always needed a extra inch, definitely a game changer great investment..looking back should have gone a bit bigger.
The only thing I like about my little giant ladders is they start small and full extented to 14 ft and can open up like a massive ladder really good allrounders but so many people rate the tripods I just wanted to try and see if I was missing something
I had the 16 foot Hendon, and they are very stable, but flex quit a bit as you go up, being scared of heights, they are no good to me, so selling those, I have the 10ft version, and love them,
Morning reas hope your keeping well buddy wow the big boys I’d be scared climbing those lol lm funny about being up ladders or looking over high buildings but love flying figure that one out 😂 The 10ft seem about right for height mate Have a great day mate
Glad to see you got some help your on big ass gardens and doing all the cutting and clraring really takes it out of ya or it does me at least waitning fir next vid a missed this one so just dropped back on it wen will you be doing a proper comparison and your thoughts on ya new Combi a know ua done a video but wasnt enough lol
Good ladder, you do a neat job cutting hedges..Have you tried getting yourself a 4_6meter tarpaulin and lay out before cutting and keep dragging along with you....saves a lot of cleaning up clippings..
Well done Pete👍 Tripod ladders are a game changer I would not be without mine now. I’m sure you could get a replacement tank for your combi. I see you’ve gone for it on the battery kit😀👍
Battery combi is brilliant mark i will get my petrol tank replaced for the other combi good do have a back up I think if I go ahead with tripods I’ll get the 8ft ones
Used our bigger tripod ladders once and put them to the back of the shed, so much heavier and clunky. And because they are so much wider at the bottom hard to manoeuvre around shrubbery. Still not sure on them
It’s really nice to get peoples feed back from their personal experiences with the tripod ladders it’s does help me out massively I love to try everything I’ll probably end up getting one at somepoint I’ll be using Paul’s tomorrow and Friday
Nice One Pete petrol tank should be a easy fix Stihl parts are normally not to badly priced 🤞On the holiday camp they had big tripod ladders for the zip lines only used a small tripod ladder they throw out 😀 Thanks again
Just brought the KMA135R battery combi and my god it’s brilliant way better than I expected I will however fix the petrol combi for both options moving forward I’ve only used the tripods for one day so far and it’s different from what I’m used too but wanting to have more options in my tool collection 😂

Henchmen are incredibly good especially on uneven ground, you need to try a bigger one and I wouldn’t use the rubber feet on soil or on grass as the feet claws add to the stability. I wouldn’t use anything else 10f 12f 16f and as long as you set them up correctly I’ve never felt safer especially the 16f
