I hate that RUclipsrs are forced to mute the music because it takes away from the viewers experience heavily. This game's music is in my opinion a huge part of why this game is so special to so many of us. I will try my best to imagine the music in my head when you arrive at said moments. This has a great soundtrack. I enjoyed this game so much. Its a very unique game. You have to appreciate when a studio takes chances on a game like this.

Hope you enjoy it Cowboy. Like you, I did not think this was my kinda thing when it first dropped, but I was wrong. I got hooked, just chilling in some amazing environments and upgrading my gear.

I've clocked in 30k hours in WoW, and my 2nd most played game of all time is Death Stranding, coming in at ~1.8k hours. Despite owning a large library of games on Steam, no other game has come remotely close to my playtime with Death Stranding. It just oozies _vibe_ and tranquility. Certainly one of my top 3 gaming experiences of all time, alongside Vanilla WoW and DS2 Iron Bridge PvP...which is how I discovered Cowboy :)
If I had to guess, I don't think FC will enjoy Death Stranding as a whole, either. I entirely understand why it's off-putting to others. It fits perfectly into the classic trope of "you either love it or hate it" IMO. Personally, it was an incredibly unique game that came out during a particularly unique time in our lives, and I fondly remember listening to hundreds of podcasts and audiobooks while delivering pizzas across the United Cities of America.
As long as you get to experience the music that’s ok, it’s such an important part of the game that develops the atmosphere and setting.

Took me nearly 2 years to 100%, but it was worth it. Walking simulator for the first half of it (and delivery simulator), but once the story starts to develop, you instantly get hooked. Grind alone the initial portion, it is worth it. From a Souls and FPS lover, this is among my top 10 all time games.
Loved playing this game right at start of covid here in UK, felt extra special because of that at the time. Played it through twice since too. One of my favourite games... Please stick at it Cowboy.

A lot of playthroughs I watch, people are running and rushing through. I remember stopping by the water and enjoying the music, graphics and looking up at the waterfall. I guess it’s something else when you have an audience you have to entertain.
The true ending to this game made me cry like a baby.

Legitimately my favorite game of all time
I was surprised by this game,was putting it off for a long time, but once started I played for 3 days straight to finish it. It’s special.
I had to a couple of aborted tries with the Death Stranding as it doesn't make it easy to love the game early on and on the surface appears pretty dull and samey. Once you're hooked though, wow, what a game! 49 year old, gamer most of my life, this is a unique and amazing gaming experience that really connected with me and is so cathartic. Death Stranding is for sure in my top 10 all time best gaming experiences. Batsh1t crazy... yeah sure.... rambling and frequently incoherent most definately... but, there are so many unique moments that caused the hairs on my arms to stand on end and showed me that games don't have to follow the same old tired formulas that so many AAA games play safe with these days.

Man, it sucks YT cant handle licenced music. The moments where the music kicks in are so good in this game. They're infrequent but really impactful. I have the attention span of a gnat, so DS took me FOREVER to finish. I think it took me a year to finish it, but it's one of the best gaming experiences i've ever had. Kojima is a genius for making basic traversal feel so satisfying.
Love this game! Make it as fast as you can to Chapter 3 and you'll understand why some of us got hooked with it. Keep on keeping on!
Bit weird seeing Cowboy play this years after release. The game is an expereince that's for sure. The mission towards the end when you make your way all back down south, just silence and beautiful music for about 30 minutes. Incredible.

Interesting to see fightingcowboy to play this, as a huge fan of MGS and Kojima growing up, I played this game for just 5 hours and thought it was boring and give it up, probably give it a try again when I have time again.

Death stranding is by far the game that surprised me the most. I went to it with no expectation because the gameplay didn't seem that good. But boy oh boy it hooked me into it and it surprised the hell out of me! I couldn't wait to get home to play it.. It has a slow start but after that is a hell of an experience

I never finished the original on PS4 but I loved this game
This is phenomenal, I played at launch and haven't picked it up again until a couple weeks ago. Just barely got through 100% on the director's cut when this dropped. I love it but am way nervous about the sequel. Have fun!
People saying this was a walking simulator, sure, like Skyrim does never asks you to go from point A to B in order to do a misión, and you just go, doesn’t even think about the trip.
I would never have guessed that cowboy will play this and I am very pleasantly surprised. My favorite game almost platinum this twice if not for the stupid racing game. I will enjoy this series. Thanks!

This game does have a slow start. Keep playing! It gets really fun once you unlock more equipment and weapons.
25 minutes in and everything you can do is walk, pick up some items, watch a cutscene, walk again... I don't get it, I legitimately need some explanation on what makes anybody keep playing this game.

Even if it is not for everyone, it does everything it wants to do perfectly.
I also recommend for everyone not to burn themselves out on sidequests very early on, and instead focus on them later once you unlock more and more things. Although I personally did a lot of sidequests early on and still loved the game haha.

I distinctly remember Cowboy saying he wasn't going to play this, when it came out, because of Kojima's comments on players not "getting it"(the story).

I tried to play this game several times just to give it a chance but, nope it's not for me. I couldn't get into it at all. The only thing I liked about it was Norman as the main character lol. Have fun playing it and I do hope you enjoy it.

Top game. Starts slow, but picks up and my god it's got some of those typical Hideo moments of just "what the fuck am I doing?!" Loved it. The sound track is busted too. BMTH Ludoes is cracked.

not sure how far in you are, but I believe there is an option for copy write stuff, but you gotta unlock an ingame item or something like that. Been a year or two since I played it.

Hope so too. It is a slower game mainly, but it is fantastic. It's rare that I watch Cowboy playing a game I already mastered before him. One of my favourite games.

Once i got the bolas gun there were unconscious bodies everywhere.
It took a bit for me to really get into the game but once i did i was hooked until i finished it. I hope you enjoy the game. Its a weird for sure but enjoyable.

I thought the same but I thought that about bloodbourne ! 😮 and look what trouble that 5th attempt at playing bloodbourne got me into ! Nearly lost my F ing job 😮 !! Anyway, I played Death Stranding for about an hour, maybe two. And thought it was ok and very strange . I do intend to revisit but when I am on ER SOTET and LOP, I have been occupied.
I love Metal Gear series made by Hideo, especially Phantom Pain, but I feel like Death Stranding is about being a delivery guy, which can be boring for players who enjoy the Dark Souls series and souls-like games.
I tried to play this again just this week but I just can't get into it. Looking forward to seeing what you make of it.
