Disagree about meat-eating, it was for low-level beings. The context in shastra and our ancient traditions is based on living and loving nature, living with Dharma. A person without dharma is like an animal. Even a normal person (without spiritual goals) in this age with high level of stress, anxieties, diseases are stuck in tamasic ways, the only way for today's existence is satvik, vegetariam lifestyle for higher well-being.
