The first opening minutes are the most important part of SC2 casting IMO

@@arthurl4300 Good openings are definitely important when playing or studying, however there is little variance between games at a professional level. The caster has to watch the same openers for most matches and it can get boring. The only time they have a use in the first 5 mins is if there is a proxy or early push.

@@hectorandem2944 Nah, see, Protoss usually have 70-125 IQ, depending on the person, time of day, alignment of the stars and the food that that one store down in Kamuroccho serves to gruff looking men after they are done singing their hearts out.
They would need to have 300IQ to perform actually well. That would also mean that they won't have a single game they lose, with how broken Protoss is, but that's a tale for a different time.

Yamato gun used to do 250 and voidrays have 250 health. They reduced yamato damage to 230 so voidray can survive with 20 health.
Imagine if Special had those 3 battle cruisers vs the void rays with all his thors
From a noob, carriers and BC I always like comparing them and what I don't understand is... BC can go and blow you off in one hit and run away easily. Carriers, from a "high-tech race" can just go a hope that your micro isn't that good.

At game 3 it seems that he got frustrated and moved out when he actually had the advantage if he turtled up. Get a decent TPM and the phonexies are worthless, a few widow mines could of wiped them all out too, those Collosi would of found charging into seige tanks a bad position. But when his opponet was forcing him to mass bio, he massed bio, and then attacked someone he knew he was mass bio.

So... basically Terran needs to have their OG seeker missiles back because void rays are crushing terrans at all levels.
I've always wondered why pros do not use liberators against void rays, they do devastating damage and you only need 8 and few BC's to tank the damage. I've won this way several times, but still ... I'm in plat league.

cos of widow mines void rays will never become useful vs terran. all it takes is 1 mistake for your entire fleet to be blown apart by 3~4 mines
Seemed to work out all right in these games...
I can't believe Special tried Thors and Battlecruisers against Void Rays. Just Units which don't attack to air suck more against Void Rays.
Thors can do splash damage against air, making them near perfect. BC's can Yamato and jump. Really, the only issue is quantity. Thors only downside is how big and slow they are. Special just never made enough of them to keep up with how much air Neeb was pumping out.
@@ryanaegis3544 He used Thors in High Impact mode. It has no splash. And Yamatoingis too slow. Especially with multiple Void Rays against equal mineral amount of BCs or THors Void Rays are much better. Thors and BCs are not the correct choice against Voids. You need unarmored units like Marines and Vikings
@@MrBlablaologe It always amazes me how long it takes those unarmored units to die. It is exhilarating watching an Immortal blast its way through a building, but watching it try to kill a queen, or worse, an adept, its enough to drive a player crazy.

I want to hear pro players give their honest opinions about certain spells in the game. #1 that I am curious about is EMP, I don't understand how EMP is not ultra OP? I mean it removes energ and shields, so bam just like that the Protoss army is missing half of their hit points(shields). Is it just hard to use or like super low range maybe?
nowhere near as strong as it was in Broodwar with Science Vessel EMPs

i wouldnt reccomend random, for each week play each race. wwith random theres a chance you wont get a good feel of it due to chance, and what the opponent is doing could be a cheese, not letting you get to know that race better.

I can’t understand why Neeb gave up on the first game? He have more bases, more worker and didn’t lost his all army. Why?
He lost a lot of expensive stuff that can't be warped in instantly. The tanks can just waltz in after that engagement and switching into immortals or air would take too long.

That's like saying mass bc's with ravens is straight up imba. Do you know how much it costs and how much time is needed for someone to build up these comps?
Mass stimmed marines with combat shields would wipe the sky, and that is the cheapest, lowest tech unit terran has. Not to mention Vikings, Thors, and Battlecruisers. Special only got rolled in game two because he built so many Tanks and Helions he could not build significant numbers of anything else.

Void rays are kinda op
not really.
Most toss units are. Very powerful but expensive. The problem is they're uncounterable as zerg due to piss poor anti air, even when scouted. Same for mass phoenix, even if you just about survive you're miles behind. And if you do somehow manage to perform a miracle and corner the sods, puff!, the toss just teleport them home.
Did you forget the existence of corrupt or viper infest or, which has been so imbalanced against protoss air that they had to be nerfed 3 times? (and even now you rarely see late game protoss beat that comp)
@@theamsterdamguy1833 corruptors cannot shoot down, and they lose to voidrays even if they don't have battery backup. Corruptors are anti capital sure, but not generally useful. Mutas can shoot up and down but are stupidity weak and squashy, and clump royally. Vipers cost mad gas and are easily sniped. Broods are too slow to defend and can still lose to ground units despite all their downsides.
@@atrtsh I don't see how corruptors not shooting down is relevant to the topic of anti airing protoss. Even the Muta clumping seems irrelevant when protoss air does not do aoe damage at all.
