I consider this time of year more as the winter season than the holiday season. I do celebrate with family but personally I consider this an introspective time to hibernate. I summarize and reflect on the year. I also think about my veg garden now! This is seed catalog season!

There's something calming and serene about grey inks 🤍 Hopefully the gold ink will also help you remember some warm memories, even though it's not necessarily a festive season for you. The combination of gold, black and greys reminds me of kintsugi, the art of repairing broken ceramics with gold. Our scars, our healing, the things we go through - that too is part of who we are :)

I love how you honoured your version of December with the greyscale colour palette and added in the gold at the end for some sparkle. I saw It’s a Wonderful Life for for the first time last year, and it made me cry. Thanks for the reminder to watch it again this year. I agree it has a wonderful message. 💗

As for ink, being left handed you may want to try something that is a little dryer or has a quick dry time. If you have an instagram @shico_journals posts some fountain pen content and she is left handed :)
I love the looks of that Monteverde pen. There pens are often attractive, but the nibs a bit underwhelming (from my one Ritma). Lol. I wonder if you were to exchange the nib unit on that Monteverde if it would win you over. Upgrade it with another Jowo style nib unit, but one that you enjoy more. Another fine video. It was never delivered yet I've received several emails stating it was delivered. There have been several emails that I've responded too. There has been no resolution. Love the video, thinking of buying a few jinhao's now after seeing your reviews. Are they that much cheaper on aliexpress than amazon? How long did you wait for delivery from aliexpress? I also like dark colors for my eye sight as well.
I believe the pens are cheaper on Aliexpress but I did not order any from there. I got them on Amazon so I can't speak to the delivery time. When I have ordered from Aliexpress for other things before it took a couple weeks to get my shipment.
