- After staying in the Nustar we thought it would be best to explore the massive mall across the street; SM City Seaside. So we trudged through the heat and made our way to the building.
While touring the mall we got to check out all of the new restaurants and shops that Cebu had to offer and we got a little meal at Yellowcab. We then headed up to the deck area of the mall and got some fun on the seesaw and got to check out a great view of the mountains and a view of the city.

14:21 Interesting fact: There were actually stores there and it was a popular spot for people to hangout. But 2 awful things happened. First, the pandemic happened and they had to close down (a lot of stores closed everywhere). And second, just when the lockdowns were lifted, Odette destroyed the city in DEC 2021. All malls--whether it's Ayala or both the SM malls, even hotels suffered damage. That tower in the middle of SM seaside had entire tiles ripped off and glasses shattered. The unfinished NU Star as well suffered damage. To this day, even a year later, you can still see remnants of the damage as business owners try to repair them. SM NRA alone only re-opened the circular dome in front of the department store just a couple of months ago. For SM Seaside, they made a smarter cover-up, but if you look closely, you can still see literal plastic sheets covering the ripped off cladding for the tower in the middle. In fact, in this vlog of yours, you can still see the mall's entrance missing some cladding at 18:32. Even the newer terminal at Mactan airport still had entire panels of "webbed glass" (glass walls that cracked but weren't entirely broken/shattered because they're tempered glass). I swear Odette still brings me nightmares. The aftermath was like a scene out of a dystopian movie, with wires, toppled trees, and posts on every inch of the streets, rooftop sheets puncturing the neighbors' windows, destroyed buildings and cars everywhere you looked, etc. We do fare well with typhoons here in the Visayas, but about every decade or so, we get the monster-tier typhoons, Yolanda (aka Typhoon Haiyan) and Odette (aka Typhoon Rai) being unforgettable examples. For Cebu, it will definitely take a while before we can recover, both from COVID and Odette.

Orange Brutus has its roots in Cebu, started in 1980s. It used to have a sibling called Mango Brutus. The Brutus siblings were among the oldest Western-style fast food stores in Cebu before other international fast-food chains arrived in Cebu, led by Shakey's in 1983. Orange Brutus, yes, you guessed it, was popular with their orange juice and fruit shakes to go with your meal. Its sibling, Mango Brutus, mainly served mango juice to pair with their meal. Orange Brutus pioneered in the burger steak dish which it has been part of their menu since they started in early 1980s before Jollibee launched its own burger steak in middle of 1990s. Orange Brutus also pioneered in charbroiled burger patties for their hamburgers in Cebu and, most probably, the Philippines, since Jollibee is grilling their burger patties.

You guys always at the mall. Try the beaches in Cebu, you will be in awe. Just need to take a bus going to Hagnaya Port and ride the ferry to Bantayan Islands. We stayed at Amihan Beach Cabana, just take a tricycle

Good observation about that spiral staircase. It is technically a one-way staircase unless the person coming opposite your way is 7 years and below.
You should use umbrella rain or shine most specially in the afternoon at 12 PM
SM Cebu's sky garden is similar to SM Baguio's Sky garden except SM Baguio has layers of garden because it's designed like a layered garden and better views.
But nothing compares to SM Seaside sky park as it is quite huge, maybe 4-5 times the size of SM Baguio's sky garden. The Sky Park is divided into 3 zones, namely: Fun and Play, Water Play, and Sky Play. Fun & Play zone is the largest zone where people can stroll around and where there's an amphitheater for cultural shows. The Water Play is where the water park is found, and it is designed for kids who want to frolic and get wet. The Sky Play is where the children's playground is located and is designed by the world-famous Cebuano industrial designer, Kenneth Cobonpue. The whole sky park occupies exactly half the circle of the mall's layout.

There are other two bridges aside from Mactan-Cordova bridge connecting Mactan Island to Cebu City. The Marcelo Fernan Bridge and Sergio Osmeña Bridge and soon the 4th bridge, " The Mandaue-Mactan bridge target completion in 2028.

Hello there. You might want to visit the Cebu Zoo and Safari Park. Do the canyoneering at Kawasan Falls , . Visit historical places in Cebu. Or do collab with (I forgot his name) but it was one of his videos on the cost of living in cebu with his girlfriend and multiple cats ) that you reacted once. He can go out and bring you to so many places in Cebu.

Grab is the way to go. Not with that blazing sun on you. Maybe Nustar has courtesy shuttle to Seaside Mall like most hotels in Manila near the Mall of Asia.
SM Seaside is most probably the only mall in the Philippines with its own internal transport system, via chauffeured golfcarts, to take around visitors/shoppers, specially giving priority to people with mobility problems. They're stationed near the elevators and spiral staircases. It has also scooter and bike rentals where you can ride around if you don't feel like walking. Bikes can only be used in sky park though while scooters can be used anywhere within the mall.
