@@kiwirar5885 Very true. But I will admit. In his defense. He would most likely be aware of cars he's either driven himself, or ones that his friends drive.
He's a driver in a very amateur series. The MX-5 cup is like college sports. It's farther than most of us will go but he's not exactly what I'd consider a pro
9:53 Chris if you're reading this by any chance, you can actually turn on first person drift cam in FH5, which sways the camera in the opposite direction of the drift. So basically, you're not looking straight up front any more.
When it came to the interior of the car, it’s the actually interior of the sesto elemento, didn’t sound like he was aware of it cause he mentioned the steering wheel and the motec dash as if it’s an option they chose
I find it a bit interesting that Chris said the car would be street legal, but sadly he'd be wrong, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, just like the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, is a track only car, as for the tunning, for those who aren't familiar with the forza games, you can actually tune the way the car handles after you're done upgrading it, from suspension, brakes, aerodynamics, gearing, tire pressure and so on aside engine swap, forced induction, body work, and on and on, it's a relatively "complete introduction" package to get you into the car tuning world. Btw, speaking of cockpit cameras, there is an option somewhere i guess in the gameplay options that's called "drift view" or something like it that does allow the "driver" to look where they're going, but it's turned off by default, i enabled it on my side tho some people said i gets them a nauseous somehow, so, i guess give it a try first?. And a lot of people were hoping that the devs would add the 900° wheel rotation, but in the end they're just sticking to 180° only, which is a bit of a bummer but, decisions decisions decisions, also the game does allow you to play with manual or manual + clutch transmission ( which i personally use with my controller, LB for cluch, A for upshift and X for downshift), so a full sym is not fully necessary to kick the clutch. Regardless, it was fun to watch this video and i'd love to see more of him as well, and thank you Gamology for this episode as well
Fun fact about the Lamborghini featured in the opening segment: it was purely designed to be a track-only car. It's known as the Sesto Elemento, and all the features and nuances (skeletonized dashboard, foam pads in place of traditional seats, MoTec display, and the radical design cues (aside from the swapped wing/splitter)) are stock to the car. It's on the Gallardo chassis, and was strictly meant to be the most stripped down, extreme version of what Lamborghini could put on a track at the time (2011). It only weighs 999Kg (2202lbs), and sports over 500hp being sent to all 4 wheels. Richard Hammond did a segment on it while working on Top Gear, and I highly recommend checking it out.
Right off the bat...it's a Sesto Elemento...it literally says the name up top! And didn't anyone notice the hood cam sounded different to the cockpit cam in ANY previous Forza Horizon???
The game does have a option you can turn on while in cockpit view your head does turn to the direction you are sliding so you can see where you are going
If you’ve ever heard of the game Split Second it’d be amazing to see him react to it, it’s a bit of an older title but it’s as wild as racing games get
3:33 I was pretty sure the Sesto Elemento was a track-only car in real life because it doesn't meet the safety standards to be fit for the road. 4:57 And the reason they used that steering wheel is because that is the steering wheel in the actual Sesto Elemento. I don't know why they would put a super trofeo wheel in a car that has its own steering wheel.

Something to keep in mind is that the Lamborghini modifications aren't road-legal in _all_ jurisdictions. While it would probably be completely road-legal in America, anti-hoon legislation renders such modifications _spectacularly_ illegal to drive on the road here in Australia. Before anyone jumps on this, it needs to be kept in mind that the legislation was introduced in order to bring a _very serious_ dangerous/hoon driving problem under control. There's far fewer completely-empty backroads here in Australia when compared to the US, and the hoons were outright _refusing_ to go to a speedway (which _do_ exist, and _can_ be hired for an afternoon of high-octane fun), and instead were (and still _are,_ unfortunately) racing on residential streets, with everything that entails..
The problem with the "just go rent a track" argument is that it's very expensive and the people who hoon on the street are usually teenagers who don't have money for such activities
@@codemy666 Perhaps. They could have pooled their cash, though. Or maybe they were being the typical young idiots, and impulse-buying _yet another_ mod for their ride. Edit: And, of course, there's those who have a rather _worrying_ proclivity towards "I'll spend tens of thousands on modding my car, but when it comes time to pony up a couple of hundred for track access, I'm 'broke'." Even worse if it was their _parents_ ponying up the money for the mods! What the hell is wrong with you if you'l pay out thousands for your kid's car mods, but won't pay a couple of hundrd for them to use it _safely?!_
@@benjaminfinlay829 I don't condone Street racing but I gotta ask, how many race tracks are there in all of Australia? What is the closest race track to you? What are the fees? Like what Ace said, a lot of the time it's teens who don't have that sort of money or even the time. I live in Canada, I looked up my nearest race tracks, one is outside of my city, other is luckily within, the one up North is quite a bit of a drive there and back, gas ain't cheap especially nowadays. That's just getting there, what about fuel? Spare parts? Tires? My car could probably hit the track and get home fine, it's a retired cop car, reliability is its middle name, is everyone else's car able to survive that abuse and make it home without limping? If not, can the car stay there overnight? Luckily the one that is actually nearby also seems to have a drag strip, but membership costs, logistics, it adds up. Cars are an expensive hobby, let alone Motorsports as a whole. Barely accessible for most, plus it may not even be an interest of theirs. A more relatable example for me but not for you (because airsoft is banned in Australia), why do most kids here play "woodsball" or backyard airsoft? Because a cheap spring powered clear orange tipped 250fps garbage pistol is cheap. Buy a few, call some friends over, blast each other with bb's in the backyard and call it a day. Why spend $200+ for a decent airsoft rifle, safety equipment (goggles mainly), mags, chest rig or plate carrier, and membership or entry fees just for a day of airsoft. Is it safe to blast friends with cheapo airsoft guns in the backyard? Not really, 250fps can leave bbs stuck in your skin, and most certainly take your eye out without decent eye protection, stray bb can cause minor property damage, hit random people, etc. It's like street hockey or basketball, why not just take it too rink? Go play ball at a court? Instead of having to play near the street and almost get run over because the ball bounced into the street? Cheap and accessible. You also have people who just want the thrill, and no safety. You care about safety, I like to be safe, but what about the one person who doesn't care? Live free die young mindset? Killing is bad and obviously illegal, yet serial killers exist, will continue to exist, and will always exist. What then? How do you deal with that sort ofmindset? Better schooling? What if they just simply don't care? Terrible people exist just for the sake of being terrible. Psychopaths as some would call them. What then? Mind control? Violate human rights by having mind control technology or substances, for the sake of safety? Correct me I'm wrong but isn't Australia currently dealing with a government that is currently TOO overreaching with lockdown protocols? For the sake of "safety", your government is violating damn near everything to the point where everyone is mass protesting?
@@Project153 Nearest speedway? Within an hour's drive. That said, I also don't live very far from a major city, and there's a fair few very remote towns in my state. You make some more good points, and I'd discuss them further, but I'm typing on phone and it won't let me pause typing to reread them.
The Lamborghini in the beginning of the video is a sesto elemento, which is not road legal. It is a dedicated track car meant to be a toy for millionaires, although I doubt that many of the owners if any actually use them.
Idk how he didnt recognize this as the Sesto Elemento ig bro just so in love with that Super Trofeo 😅 if I took a shot everytime he mentioned it I'd be out
Is this guy not a car guy? He's very knowledgeable about his area of expertise and is an enjoyable presenter, but the sesto elemento is a proof of concept kinda thing lamborghini did a while back. sesto elemento means sixth element in italian, which is carbon. It was a design exercise they did to see how light they could make it, and because of that it's based on a Gallardo instead of the bigger, heavier V12 Aventador. Which is why I thought it was weird he said "v10 engine swap" since it comes with a V10 anyways. The player didn't swap the engine for something else, and there appears to be no different v10 engine you could swap to, it's the stock engine, and the entire reason Audi bought Lamborghini a while back was for their v10. I'm just surprised he doesn't seem to know stuff like that, when almost any average car person like myself could tell you that's the case He also mentions the dash, but this is the only lamborghini that looks like that. I just don't want people to get on horizon 5 excited thinking you can modify the interior. They made some cool changes for the game but all interiors are still 100% stock with no customization. He says it has a sequential 'box when in reality it's the same single clutch flappy paddle automatic that snaps your head every time you shift as all of their cars that don't have manuals from that time period lol The steering wheel isn't a "mistake" it's what that car comes with. You brought on a race car driver to talk about a street racing game with street cars. I appreciate it, but that's a bit like bringing on Ray Allen from the celtics to talk about local high school basketball. He seems to think it's weird that all of these lamborghini's have lamborghini things on them, they're not super trofeo cars dude. He said he likes all the different race car things they added to this horizon but can only point to the dash on the elemento and the sounds. The sounds definitely are better, and thank god for that, finally. If motorsport 8 ever comes out and it's still a good motorsport game, at least it'll sound good. But I can't think of a single thing they've added that makes this game more racing oriented than 4 The game actually does have (since Motorsport 6 or 7) the ability to have the guy look into the direction of the slide with settings you can tweak. I really respect T10 for doing that, it's a godsend for drifting TLDR: That's as far as I got. This guy's cool but you could have probably found somebody within 5 miles that knows more about cars, especially since this guy's area of expertise barely factored into things, and those would be what I want to hear about. Just some criticisms, it's still awesome that they talked about cars and racing games and got a pro. It's cool that he knows Frederic Aasbo : D Man drifts a hatchback, and Papadakis Racing builds his cars. They're some of the best car guys/engineers on earth. If ya'll could get Aasbo or Steph Papadakis on THAT would be amazing. Cheers E>
You could argue about how "pro" is he really imo.... and to his defence, the racing transmission in FH5 does whine alot which you could mistake for a sequential
@@codemy666 I was surprised he mentioned 'sequential' because that noise comes from the straight cut gears which can be found in both sequential or gate gearboxes. But I suppose you don't really see sequential transmissions with silent/smooth helical cut gears... I could be wrong though.

I'd like to see him react to a game from the Trackmania series. Purely deterministic physics, the same exact car for everyone, the only differences are the skill of the driver and the track they're driving on.
I died inside a lot when Chris called the Sesto the super Truffeo (excuse the misspelling) they look nothing alike to my knowledge minus the six exhaust holes on the Engine cover.
All the things he mentioned are in the game except the hand shuffle. Can't believe he didn't know the sesto but when the video was released it was probably a concept
for those who don't know, there is a drift camera option in the menu's for specifically what he mentioned about not being able to look to the side. You can even adjust the strength of the camera as it turns.
He is such a cool dude, definitely bring him back for some other racing games! That said, so much of the actual game-related stuff he said is flat-out wrong. It is the Sesto Elemento, not the Super Trofeo, it is therefore not road legal but has the stock dashboard. Dashboard swapping is not a thing in this game. Also, different sounds depending on player perspective has been a thing forever and is not new in FH5. There are barely any changes from FH4 to FH5 anyway.
He even called it a driving simulator and most of his commentary on physics was questionable to say the least. For reference, max verstappen holds rfactor2 in higher regard than the codemasters f1 games, which are alot more realistic than FH5. The racing driver here may be good at racing a real car but I'm not too confident on his actual knowledge of cars themselves
As nice as all the other videos is it's nice to see somebody who actually loves video games actually knows about the video games are being shown while having expert knowledge in real life experience in it that's what makes it so freaking incredible and I cannot resist watching the whole time and learning from him
In the game there is a 1st person drift camera you can enable. It looks right and left in the direction of your drift with different speed and sensitivity.
The Lambo Sesto Elemento is actually NOT street legal, since it is too fast, according to Lamborghini themselves. It is a bit cringy what he says about the lambo, like the dash or the wheel, which are exact scans from the real car, then the physics (200mph, Corner flat out, etc) absolutely not achievable irl. Rant over!
Actually about the Mitsubishi section, there's a setting in the camera menu specifically for the first person view called drift look, changing the value loosens or stiffens the camera look, however this may be turned off simply as player preference like how I have it, not for functionality but for footage and the awesome look of looking out the front and seeing everything go sideways.

Edit: And, of course, there's those who have a rather _worrying_ proclivity towards "I'll spend tens of thousands on modding my car, but when it comes time to pony up a couple of hundred for track access, I'm 'broke'."
Even worse if it was their _parents_ ponying up the money for the mods!
However, the proximity to a speedway doesn't stop the hooning either. I hear cars roaring like a racetrack pretty regularly late at night.
He would probably like it more if he knew that you could turn on the drift cam, that makes it more realistic when you're sliding
Idk how he didnt recognize this as the Sesto Elemento ig bro just so in love with that Super Trofeo 😅 if I took a shot everytime he mentioned it I'd be out
I feel so annoyed when he doesn't identify the sesto elemento. It's so iconic from the need for speed movie I loved that movie as well.
Tbh, that Lambo is Sesto Elemento, which is limited track only car. That speedo and steering wheel are already stock from the factory.
Forza actually has a drift camera for the first-person view showing where you want to go instead of just looking straight forward.
"this car doesn't have a cage" has a roll cage in the same shot
Thank you, it's clearly visible.
He was wrong about the sesto elemento, it's hardcore track car from factory with that wheel/dash etc
You can enable drift view mode, which will turn the player's head and point it where the car is actually going.
I actually didn't know that and I've played this game since November in 2021 lol thanks!
I'm just surprised he doesn't seem to know stuff like that, when almost any average car person like myself could tell you that's the case
He also mentions the dash, but this is the only lamborghini that looks like that. I just don't want people to get on horizon 5 excited thinking you can modify the interior. They made some cool changes for the game but all interiors are still 100% stock with no customization. He says it has a sequential 'box when in reality it's the same single clutch flappy paddle automatic that snaps your head every time you shift as all of their cars that don't have manuals from that time period lol
The steering wheel isn't a "mistake" it's what that car comes with.
But I can't think of a single thing they've added that makes this game more racing oriented than 4
The game actually does have (since Motorsport 6 or 7) the ability to have the guy look into the direction of the slide with settings you can tweak. I really respect T10 for doing that, it's a godsend for drifting
TLDR: That's as far as I got. Cheers E>
Lol yeah I guess he didn't know much of the Sesto and thought everything was aftermarket

In the game there is a 1st person drift camera you can enable. It looks right and left in the direction of your drift with different speed and sensitivity.
5:09 It's a Sesto Elemento, not a Super Trofeo Huracan
Did he just say the Mitsubishi didn't have a roll cage? You can clearly see the roll cage coming out of dashboard on the right.
