I really like this pack . I have had it for 8 years and have used it a lot for hunting , hiking and camping . No problems or issues yet . Mine came with rings. and cotter pins .
I have bought both this and the Pursuit pack, I don't know how you guys do it, but these are products that could totally hold up to items costing up to 4 times the price, mine came with pins on and rings in a separate bag, Thank you for this, I use the rings where I do not change the configuration often and pins were they don’t stab me in the back, congratulations to your company as for the whole market these are the best bang for the buck so far
Also to make the assembly and disassembly easier and faster, I use R-Clips on mine. Work great and so much easier to put on and take off. And you can find them at any hardware store. And yes, this bag is badass and i absolutely love it!!!
Interesting. Mine came tonight with cotter pins on the frame and a bag of rings in one of the pockets. I suspect different customers have different preferences. At this stage, I find the cotter pins better if only because they're easier to take on and off.
The company has listened to the people and replaced the rings with cotter pins. I would suggest running a line of 550 cord down all the cotter pins in order to one, help remove them and two, keep track of them.
FYI - If you slide the cross bar down to the lowest level (for smaller stature'd people) the locking pin is not then long enough to span the outer pack, meat pack, sliding bar, and have enough sticking out the far end to place a pin into. Essentially you have to forgo either one of the outer pack or meat pack's grommets. One set of slightly longer extra pins would solve this issue, much like how they replaced the split rings with cotter pins.
Still need your rifle and a lot of other items after you get to camp. I’ll have to find a way to attach a daypack or just take out the large items and hope the pack and lashing can be used together
It probably should have been mentioned in the video but it wasn't. If you want to make this a lot easier loosen up the black webbing straps there are two of them.
Sorry that you can't its a very good and comfortable pack you can use it for hunting or just camping you can take off the top bar on the very top and take off the bench seat thing
Can the shelf be taken off...? I had a chance to see one up close, there is no load lifter straps... Their standard on most external frame Backpacks...
hi, I recently got this pack, and I was wondering if the pack bag can be used without the frame somehow? and also, where do you store the lashing when you aren't using it? Great bag.
+Kencro Nethckett Hey Kencro, I was in a pinch with this pack frame and pack bag and had to use the pack bag as a duffel for a bit without the frame... I took the shoulder straps off an old North Face suitcase I had and looped them through the hold-open-bar holes at the top of the pack back, and tied off the bottom of the straps to the two adjustable pack bag straps on the bottom of the pack bag. A little 550 cord to secure the back and keep it from getting too floppy and I was good to go, though of course there is no back panel in the pack bag because it assumes it will be used with the frame, so this was just a worst case scenario use.
I do not recommend taking the whole pack apart as it is difficult to reassemble. I only did to so see if I could get the size down enough for an airplane
It’s a real pain to find out one of the holes doesn’t line up and it’s the only one that doesn’t. So do I return it which is a pain in the ass or smash a hole to make the pin pass through?Must be quality control crap out of China.

Nice, I just got this for 120 bucks on FB Marketplace. Already came with the "R" clips. It was only used once.

Can you leave the lashing system undernwath de bag instead of storing it in a pocket and risk losing it?
I just purchased this pack and put it together. I think I'll be getting a set of cotter pins to replace the rings.
Man I wish I could afford this it would be a dream and big help building a log home starting spring

Yes and so can the top bar and maybe even the bottom bar
What is the carrying weight restriction on this pack?
Why is there no load lifter straps...

i see there is a pocket for the bladder but no feed hole for the straw
They're in the corners on both sides of the bladder pocket.
Do new packs have load lifter straps ?

The audio quality makes me not even want to watch this sounds like she’s talking into one ear
Anyone know where this is made? US, China, etc.
China
China
those little rings can be a pain especially when you make a mistake and have to take them off and redo it
Just need to make sure the end you stuck in goes through the hole again :)
how many liters is this?
Jay Bilal roughly 86
too complicated....forget it, if you're in a survival scenario....
Actually once you get it you'll see its simple
Can't put pins on and off?? you're not much of a survivor are you?
