This is the one where it goes from pretty good to great. Now it's just 8 perfect episodes from here to the end.
Totally agree, the first 3 are great setup for this too - but it really hits its stride in this episode
I disagree..... all 12 episodes right from episode 1 to season 2 finale are PERFECT.....
“SLUUUUUUUT!”
Fleabag: *leans to look* “YEEEESS?”
I cry every time I watch the scene between Fleabag and the bank manager. Such a profoundly human interaction between two flawed people being honest in a way they can only be with strangers.
the actor is Hugh Dennis and he has been in so many programs but my favorite is the family comedy Outnumbered
Every episode of this show is solid gold, but I feel like this is where it really gets into gear and starts showing it’s complexity. Beautiful episode, glad you enjoyed it.
Such an iconic series. Love the acting chemistry between Fleabag and her sister Claire.
Phoebe said it best, this show lures u in with the laughs, makes u comfortable, brings u closer, just to stab u and twist the knife. is one of my favorites, ever. and i mean, EVER. and its only 12 episodes. her speech at this season's finale resonated with me on a level so deep, hard and personal, i didnt know what to do with myself. got dehydrated. and no matter how many times i watch it, or i watch people react to it, it never fails to get me. good luck. hope ure open to receive it.
Hugh Dennis is fantastic in that monologue. 👏
Best scene from this episode. Followed closely by "not for now".
This episode shifted something in me
I feel that too as a man, I spent all my life raised by women but rarely respected them outside of home or family, and that whole monologue about being a disappointing man just fucking ruined me and made me have to sit with some shit I wasn't ready to sit with, but it was for the better in the end. The writing in this show is so insanely good and its such a transformative experience while also being funny as hell. Truly a masterpiece.
@@TrybzVibez I love how great shows can do that to people.
@@TrybzVibez ..wow.. what did you do you feel sooo guilty?
@StayFractalesque mostly just that I spent most of my life perpetuating a mindset that negatively affects people I care about. Learning to see the value in people who are different than you regardless of what you're being told and convinced to think or feel. I didn't place the appropriate amount of value on women as a whole, and after I had been shown so much grace from so many of them ny whole life.
@@StayFractalesque now I'm not saying just assign a high value to everyone or anyone because they're a woman, but maybe to just be a little more unbiased and empathetic in your assessment.
Claire is my favourite character. I identify with fleabag a lot with how she's being self destructive and her methods, but Claire is just so funny and reminds me of my mom
Claire is really funny and adorable
*Please* add Killing Eve to your queue. Written by the lead actor in Fleabag.
Yes, though tbh, they should stop after S2. Rolls down a slope, then falls off a cliff after that. And S2 ends in a way that could work as the end of the whole show.
If you like Fleabag, you’ll love Killing Eve. Phoebe Waller Bridge (Fleabag) wrote Killing Eve S1.
If they watch it, they need to see Jodie Comer in an interview just to see her real accent! I can't believe just how effortless she makes it look
The convo w the dude made me cry. The two lines : “I just want to move on.” & “I just want to cry. All the time.” 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭
Such an insightful episode.
This is my favourite episode from S1 ❤
This when I got hooked; the dramatic element was the most important for me.
God season 2 is so good and I cannot wait for you guys to get there, but season 1 is also so so so good in a different way.
Loving these reactions. I cannot wait for y'all to get to season 2. Genuine masterpiece. #HotPriest
Hugh Dennis often a comedy actor came from stand up partnership Punt&Dennis doing skits etc nothing particularly ground breaking so this is towering monologue that he delivers as an Everyman came to me as such a bolt from the blue. Just incredible
Get ready for many, many wonderful scenes just like that beautiful moment. ❤ This show is GOLD. So glad you stuck with it!!!
This show is freakin’ incredible!
Good lord, the faces.
Haunting.
I've never seen it but isn't Fleabag supposed to be a comedy?
@@ballymenabobits much darker then a regular comedy
@@ballymenabob much more than that
@@ballymenabob dramedy
@@ballymenabob There can often be a darkness to British comedy. One of my favourites was "Marion & Geoff" which was a show about a taxi driver talking to a camera in his cab, and while he was relentlessly positive, his life gave him precious little reason to be. There was both humour and tragedy in that disconnect
Absolutely love this series
Glad yall are enjoying the journey
I've seen this show maybe 5 times and it amazes me every time
Dw Ariana, it sounds like an absolute nightmare to me, too.
So enjoying your reactions to this! Can’t wait for you to watch the rest, brilliant tv series
Maybe stating the obvious, but had you noticed that hardly anyone in Fleabag has a name? Claire and Harry, and maybe one or two others, but most of them are just never named. It's only a small point, but to me it's yet another reason to love this show. This episode is solid gold all the way through. Just wait til you meet Hot Priest in S2...
14:58 Heh, just you wait.
It's nice that you didn't find this one quite so painful to watch. I suppose the uncomfortable situations suit UK TV audiences more than American TV, or we're more used to it. The pathos here helps a lot I think, as you begin to know the characters a little more deeply. Enjoying your reactions. You didn't speak about this nearly as much as the others, and that was fine. It's a more reflective episode I think. Happy happy!
This is the best show ever written.
🤦♀️
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of Fleabag!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Yay ❤
That wasn't Boo's BF, was it? 🤔 I always thought that they just hooked up and Boo thought he would be her BF but then got upset when he slept with someone else...
To be fair expecting a woman to be quiet for 10 minutes is a bit much lol :D x
Watch Dr.stone
It was worth looking at Claire's dirty side in this episode.
