I think he just doesn’t understand because he’s seeing the exception to the rule lucci had a weak case from the start he didn’t kill his friend and his codefendants didn’t cooperate partially because they didn’t do anything and the DA was just thirsty to get information on Thug because they knew they would be indicting him soon, and they knew these dudes where enemies so they though lucci and his camp would give up information on him to be freed so really lucci was just a casualty of war in the battle against the state and Thug
