So good to hear this brilliant director give partial credit for the nightmarish scenes in The Thing to Dean Cundy.
    Just a amazingly talented cinematographer.

Carpenter's "The Thing" is legitimately my favorite movie. The second would be "The Changeling"

Thank you so much Rob Bottin and Mr. Carpenter for The Thing, the best movie I've ever seen.
Nothing compares to the acting, sense of paranoia and creature effects in this movie.

Went to see the Thing in the theatre with friends,,,totally oblivious to the film. 20 yrs old and had no idea what to expect. Never saw the original. Not that it would have mattered.
Fnking great horror film and ofc cutting edge for the time. Even have my "i saw the thing" sticker.
