See how he looks in spring training. The majority of the lineup in 2024 had a down year, and Springer's poor 2024 was a combination of that and age. See if Springer bounces back a bit or not in early 2025. He did lead the team in stolen bases in 2024, although the team as a whole didn't run.
The lefty and righty in the lineup only makes sense if both the lefty guy and righty guy can hit which both Springer and Varsho have already made perfectly clear that they can't. Springer could a few years ago, but those days are gone.

I like your perspective to bat Kirk lower to rest him more (less base running), but if his OBP is back where it was he could also bat 2 and let the power guys knock him in without running as much. -- I know that's a hot take, but could work.

I think they need a starter and an Estevez type reliever. If they got quintana and Estevez and managed to stay under 3rd tax I would call that a fair offseason where they would be competitive. Barger is no where close to Varsho or Springer, he hasn’t shown anything at the MLB level whereas Varsho and Springer will give you around a league average OPS with plus power, as of now Barger is a strikeout machine

He will be our closer. We signed Garcia and Sandlin the relief pitcher who came in the HOrwitrz trade has great stats. So the BP is much better. Agreed. The offense/defense was only 3-5 WAR short of all our playoff teams back to the WS - except 2016, where 2024 was actually 3 war better. If Bo recovers his 5 war, Gimenez adds 4-5 war and Santander 4, this lineup is very very under rated. If Springer Kirk and Varsho all produce too, it's a glutton. The pitching lost all of their WAR. From 13 to 0. That's the area of severe need and they already did a decent job at the bullpen

KIRK is a rally-killer, with his below-average speed. If Springer doesn't learn to spread the ball around, he's also a rally-killer.

How tf is Vlad a #2 hitter while Bo hits cleanup?
Man, I really cannot stand modern baseball.
Its like the NBA, just individuals firing up threes.
I know its popular, but I think "I want the best players to have the most at bats" is a small minded take, and disregards so much of the minutia of baseball.
They've stuck Bo in at cleanup to help break him out of slumps, and he hasn't been bad there.

Even if the Jays don't add Alonso or Bregman, they could still add 1 of Ha-Seong Kim, J.D. Martinez, Polanco, Moncada & 1 of Flaherty, Scherzer, Quintana, Heaney. They have an underrated team & farm system.

Agreed. The offense/defense was only 3-5 WAR short of all our playoff teams back to the WS - except 2016, where 2024 was actually 3 war better.
If Bo recovers his 5 war, Gimenez adds 4-5 war and Santander 4, this lineup is very very under rated.
If Springer Kirk and Varsho all produce too, it's a glutton.
The pitching lost all of their WAR. From 13 to 0.
That's the area of severe need and they already did a decent job at the bullpen
