All of this was in a first time in a aproximetly 9 hour stream. This man is trully skilled.

The fact that you entered Kingdom's Edge, and more importantly, _the Colosseum of Fools_ before even fighting the Mantis Lords terrifies me to no end. I'm truly astonished that you're already so good at this game ;;
Genuinely the only person I've seen go straight for the lantern and head to crystal peak, and then go straight to the resting grounds afterwards. I love how the game lets you take these alternate routes through progression.
Whenever someone asked what it's like to have a phobia, I show them one of RTs videos, bc it's such a vocal and well shown experience of suffering from a phobia. I myself dont suffer any phobia, I unfortunately struggle with severe anxiety which has lead me to being a few steps away from proper phobia of thing. I cannot Express how happy I am that Dan can not only continue playing, but is such an amazing example
Yeah, it's nice to see someone who's just as terrified of spiders as me and is open about it. When he got into the Deep Nest and I saw the webs, I immediately considered turning off the vid and leaving it for another day so it's super cool that he can keep going. Just the noises alone made my body physically tense up. Love anxiety but with zero sarcasm, I love how RT doesn't let it stop him.
RT doesn't edit his streams, the workload would become unimaginable. This video was edited by Ashtaric, you can scroll down the video description and see their credit and social media, if you wish so
Having a group of bugs surround you while you get stuck to a bench covered in spider webs was one of the creepiest moments I had so far while playing the game.
You probably won't see this, but oh my god you're amazing at this game. As someone who's played the game upwards of 5 times, I am immensely impressed with everything you did here. I wouldn't have dreamed of trying to beat Soul Tyrant on my first run through, but you braved the challenge and you beat him probably 10 hours before you were supposed to. You found nearly every early way to get to an area before you were supposed to. You're not supposed to go to Crystal Peak until after Soul Master. But you did it. You got there and you got through it. You got the Dream Nail before Fungal wastes. Do you know how impressive that is? Before Fungal Wastes! You beat Elder Hu before even getting the Mantis Claw. That's insane. You even got to Kingdom's Edge, and endgame area that you're not supposed to go to for probably another 20 hours, and you got through nearly all of it. You got through Kingdom's Edge without dying once! And you beat the first Trail in the Coliseum of Fools at just 5 masks and minimal upgrades. On your first try! That's phenomenal! I am happy that I'm being able to see someone play this game for the first time. When I played it I spoiled myself to hell. I knew about everything, and playing the game was like seeing references to things I already knew. But watching you is like seeing it for the first time, seeing someone's genuine reactions, seeing someone not only be able to feel the wonder of the game but also exceed at it is something that I am very grateful that I get to watch. I can't attend the stream that's happening approximately right now, but I truly hope you see this after. As someone who's decently good at this game, I was impressed when you got through Crossroads without dying. Everything you did in this video, the insane sequence breaking, the phenomenal aptitude of being able to take on every challenge and come out on top. That cements you as the best naturally skilled Hollow Knight player I think I've ever seen. P.S. If you saved Zote in Deepnest before doing the Trial of the Warrior (like was intended) you can actually fight Zote himself as the boss of that Trial. I don't feel bad about spoiling it, as you did both of those events, but fighting Zote after experiencing his narcissism is very cathartic, and I thought you should know about it.
Hol'up, Crystal Peak is supposed to be AFTER Soul Master? I didn't even realize the Soul Sanctum existed until after I had gotten the shadow dash XD I suppose a product of my compulsive need to explore every nook and cranny, to the point I forget to return to previous areas that were off limits sometimes lol.
I thought this was everyone first playthrough. I did most of these events the same as RT and just stumbled into things as I went and only after I finish did I look up how things were supposed to go and was like "well I did that completely wrong"
RT is the first man to go blind and kill a warrior spirit before dying. He is in a weight class of his own, he took on the Soul Master without dying. Then taking on an end game boss over and over again.
@@dekkonot Is it though? That would imply that Celeste is actually impossible for the majority of players. Took me over 4 hours to finish the path of pain (and that's on the second, successful, attempt), and i'm actually pretty good at Hollow Knight. @@lred1383 Lets put it this way, I died around 7.7 thousand times in the post-game final level of celeste. Edit: that level also took me 22 hours. Would still recommend though.
RT, regarding taking on Soul Tyrant: "Oh there's no consequence for losing to this guy. If there's no consequence for dying, I'm just gonna keep fighting him until I win." My. Fuckin'. Man. Right here, this guy. That was my mentality precisely when I first started playing this. I stumbled onto the Brooding Mawlurk before I even encountered the False Knight in my first (blind) playthrough of the game. And I continued to bash my head against that wall until it gave in. I'm so glad you share my sentiments with Metroidvanias, RT. Must stand for Real Tough Game or something. You champion.
i get the feeling RT's either gonna end up getting the first or second ending (y'know, the orange juice ones.......and also the ones you tend to get on your first playthrough if you go fully blind) and just absolutely WRECK the final boss like he's stepping on a tiktik while the chat just absolutely fucking *loses it* (...and then i'm hoping he'll come back to get the third ending and give the chat another whole reason to scream LMAO rip aki and rip all of us who played hk before and died a thousand times over while dan just waltzed in and almost pulled a goddamn steel soul mode on his first damn playthrough. just. fucking godly gaming skills holy fuck)

Yeah, except RT plays so well that everyone was cheering like maniacs when he was killing Soul Tyrant with no upgrades whatsoever. It felt like watching the final game of a football world cup!
1:00:24 knowing Dan's borderline crippling arachnophobia, to the point where even Lego Shelob is too much for him, seeing him enter Deepnest gave me the biggest, wicked grin.
I really enjoy the route you took because it really represents what hollow knight is supposed to be! An exploration, having no idea where to go most of the time, and you try and find your way through the desolate kingdom.
Sometimes I forget that RT is actually really really good at games because so much of his content is comedy. Then I watch him beat four HK bosses in a row without a single death.
this man killed soul tyrant as soon as he was available, meanwhile I struggled when I had most hte end game upgrades. Nothing but respect for this mad lads resilience
It's extremely gratifying to see your reaction to Deepnest, because it's a more Irish mirror of how I reacted to it, right down to the aggravated grunts anytime something skitters across the screen. Seriously. Absolute hell.
You know whats even worse? Not having a lantern and falling trough the crumbling floor, finding yourself in deepnest without a light and trying to go right to go back.
Hollow Knight is less beat-based timing, as far as I can tell - it's more about anticipating and reacting. I think RT is extremely good at that sort of timing, just not metered timing, that is to say, a steady pulse. He clearly has some very tight reaction speed, though.
I thought he was playing this blindfolded so I was extremely impressed that he had memorized the dialogue and where he needed to move and then two minutes in I realized I was dumb and he was just playing it for the first time
By the end of the year, every content creator will have posted a Hollow Knight video, and I’m here for it. I will watch people play this game on repeat until Silk Song comes out.
He'll probably be going back to it after finishing a lot of other areas, in a sort of cross-map boss & secret clean-up extravaganza.

Holy shit he's so good for his first time playing! His first death was with Soul Tyrant, an endgame boss. And the game doesnt even consider that a death
He'll probably miss Nosk since he's located so far off-path. But I guess it's for the greater good as I'm certain RT wouldn't mind never knowing who Nosk is.
Yeah I watched them back to back and was like "why he no kill grass??????" Also if anyone here isn't subbed to Skurry, go do it now, they make great content.
Haha, RT’s gonna have such a hard time with Hornet, just like every other streamer it’s gonna take him at least 5 tri- _beats her in one attempt_ ... fellas do we have the second coming of Relyea here?
Thank you so much for streaming this game, RTGame. Watching this finally gave me the motivation to play it to the end and I don't regret it a bit. Thank you 💙
It took him SO LONG to die the first time. One of the mods was SO angry. And the dream death doesn't count, because steel soul mode doesn't count it. His first true death, was the mantis lords. Also, I can't wait for him to try the Path of Pain.

Just the noises alone made my body physically tense up. Love anxiety but with zero sarcasm, I love how RT doesn't let it stop him.
I am honestly just amazed at how long he went without dying

Ashtaric edited this video. RT almost never edits his own anymore. Give her credit instead.
I didn't even realize the Soul Sanctum existed until after I had gotten the shadow dash XD
I suppose a product of my compulsive need to explore every nook and cranny, to the point I forget to return to previous areas that were off limits sometimes lol.
I thought this was everyone first playthrough. I did most of these events the same as RT and just stumbled into things as I went and only after I finish did I look up how things were supposed to go and was like "well I did that completely wrong"
