But relatively few of us are lawyers. Most of us don't have easy access to the funds to hire a lawyer for casual interaction with these badged thugs. Many of us don't have the ability to discern the difference between an order and a nonsense statement from a bullying cop. So, for the most part, when a cop tells us to do or not to do something, it's an order. It's not fair, but it's the way life works.

The cop told me to give him my license. I said, "No thanks, I'm just the passenger," and he shut up and didn't ask again.

I'm standing outside Hawai'i's Planned Parenthood warning and encouraging people not to get ANY service from a place where preborn babies are murdered. I'm not breaking any laws. If you can’t spell the word amendment, you might want to rethink your interpretation of it. The first amendment does not mean you can say anything you want wherever and whenever you want. It means the government can’t prosecute or retaliate against you for saying most things but it does not mean that regular citizens have to tolerate your opinion. They can tell you to kick rocks, they don’t have to listen to you and yes, they can report you for harassment if you refuse to honor their wishes and continue to address them after you have been told to stop.
