    About Naime:
Naime (pronounced N-Eye-Ma) is a Registered Kinesiologist and Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a passion for providing exercise prescription/therapy for individuals with chronic conditions. They completed their undergraduate and graduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. Following their studies, Naime worked as a Supervisor in Wellness Programming at the Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA’s. After a year in this role, they desired more clinical expertise and were fortunate enough to work at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Cardiac Rehabilitation. After seven years in clinical care, Naime realized their vision for health and well-being was something they wanted to pursue on their own. In 2024, they opened their own exercise studio, “Movementality" in uptown Waterloo, which specializes in exercise for individuals with chronic disease.
    About Derek:
Derek Linwood (he/him) is a two-time UWaterloo Health grad with his undergraduate degree in Recreation and Sport Business (BA '17) and graduate degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies (MA '18). Shortly after graduating, Derek packed his bags and headed West to pursue a career in municipal recreation. He is currently the Sport Services Coordinator with the City of Vancouver, overseeing a team of Recreation Programmers that create quality, accessible sport opportunities across the city. Outside of work, Derek recently became a father, and he is absolutely smitten with his 5-month-old daughter Norah.
