The Productivity Open is an Industrial Open-Source (Arduino-compatible) control platform. This new take on the Arduino platform makes it possible to use the versatile open-source Arduino technology in the Industrial environment and to advance your system for IIoT. In this video, we will cover the hardware options that are possible by using the Productivity Open Industrial Open-Source (Arduino-compatible) platform.

Is there a compatible HMI for this?

Arduino platform is extremely flexible. It is capable of talking Modbus/TCP with the Ethernet Shield. It will require some complex coding but there are many examples out there. Any of our Ethernet enabled HMI systems will support a connection with Modbus/TCP as the master/client to the Productivity Open/Arduino as the slave/server. Take a look at the CM5 as a great option. www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping/catalog/hmi_(human_machine_interface)#Series_ms=%22C-more%20CM5%22&start=0
Support for the Productivity Open is through our online community as well as the numerous open-source Arduino communities as well. Thanks!

Why no USB-C, instead of micro USB?

It was decided by our hardware development team at that time we developed P1AM-100 that micro-USB would be best since this was on already existing Productivity Hardware. Thanks for the comment!
