I wish they had made them an actual romance, not just some guy to go through to get to Elijah. Jackson was a decent man, a little bit obsessed but a decent man. He would have been a good father/ step father to Hope too. I didn't like him when I was a teen watching this show for the first time but now, I wish he had a bigger role and a proper romance with Hayley. They both deserved it.
Even though I wasn't a fan of Jackson. His character was so well written and performed. Although I would've liked to see some sort of twist in his personality. He was very good, a "lawful good", if you will. I would've liked some sort of character arc where he does something to show the worse side of him briefly. Or something to that effect. He felt a bit one dimensional to me.
I always loved Jackson, he was a good man, always there to help and save others, he saved Freya twice when he had trouble supporting the Mikaelsons, no one forced him to save Freya and yet he did it because he always wants to save the world. To all the people who love Elijah, either you have forgotten that Hayley died because of him or you are blind. I would never change my mind but for me Hayley and Jackson were made for each other
And people hated him for getting between haylijah (an annoying and incompatible ship btw) when all he did was be loyal to Hayley, be a great husband and a good stepfather to Hope...
@@livingphoenix1 and why wouldn't she deserves Jackson? She stood by him, loved and defended him when they were married, she was a good wife to him too. And she'd always been honest about being in love with another person, these are things you can't choose or force and Jackson understood that, that's why he was such a good character that didn't deserved all that hate in the fandom.
@@livingphoenix1 As for Elijah he pushed her away first in season 1, and her being pissed about him moving on lasted a total of 1 ep cause after her 1v1 convo with Gia she understood her place. But anyways the thing with them is that the foundation of their feelings and conection was very week and they were incompatible.
@@popsnaebane8847 I have nothing against Jackson. I never liked Hayley from the get go. I thought she was selfish, manipulative and incapable of letting Elijah move on when she married Jackson. She violated Elijah’s privacy and didn’t seem to care about it, justifying it by helping her pack when all she had to do was ask him for help If you like her, that’s perfectly fine, but she always rubbed me the wrong way much like Elena does
@@popsnaebane8847 we’ve seen Elijah push people away before, either to prevent losing them or because Nik turned into a jealous rage monster like when Marcel was young I don’t like a lot of what happened in the originals, the whole thing just felt a little of or something and Nik, Elijah and Finn all deserved better than the endings they got

After the inicial disbelief in him, I actually liked him a little, I just didn't like how he didn't understand that since Hope was a Mikaelson so was Hayley, but if we look outside of the love we have for the Mikaelsons that actually make sense, because who would want the person that they love involved with such a bad family?

Hayley didn’t deserve either of them I think. She pushed Elijah away, married Jackson then has the Gaul to be pissed when Elijah was trying to move on
