Pika nailed it! Communication in general would REALLY help the M+ community. Whether it's a tank or healer or a DPS, asking questions or explaining things beforehand will always take less time then wipes and flames. GREAT interview. Learned a lot and love Pika's attitude\outlook. Would be a fun guy to share a beer with.
another suggestion: Equinoxmonk, please ask him why he builds his BRMs in a theoretically wrong way that brms in discord disagree with, yet he is always world no.1 brm
Because raid single target Simms "don't care" about living in m+ . Usually discords/guides lean into the raid/st damage/st mitigation angle of things. Which becomes less and less relevant exponentially for higher keys.
Joking about mistakes is a great way to mke things better. My group has a few core players and one example of this was early on this season in our first 25 ad. I play warrior in general, but was dpsing that key. We missed the timer because i heroic lept on a yazma spider and i havent heard the end of it.
@joejoejoe532 for sure, the constant joke with me is dying due to leap or charge. I limit test at the beginning of each season to see what I can get away with and it inevitably leads to some really funny deaths to the point where my healer says that they should take those buttons off of my bars
These interviews are awesome, Quazii! Great work interviewing, I think you ask great questions and present in a sincere and professional manner. Love the content
This interview was absolutely perfect for me. I needed this. Started building an m+ team this season so I learned so much from this. It also just helped to confirm so many things I learned on my own this season. Thanks so much.
Hey I know im 5 months late but I wanted to say that you have VERY good interviewer skills. I do interviews at work from time to time and we were taught how to properly question guests and potential people. You are asking meaningful questions and making sure you come back to any specific area you have interest in while also using the guest's own quotes to get a more in depth answer. So yeah, good job.
Nothing is better thn high level discussions for me personally. I love hearing the best in the world get their brain picked. Thanks for this gem Quazii :D
As a new M+ tank (not competitive) there was some really helpful insight here. Honestly PUGing while learning can be tough with so many quick to flame or quit at first mistake. It's good to hear about someone's experience who made it to the highest level. Great interview! Oh and I definitely feel making every mistake once 😂
Another great podcast! Man, you’re doing a fantastic job! This guy was fun to listen to. Especially when he was describing that names with unique fonts, I hate that too. See if you can set up an podcast with Growl. He’s a fantastic healer, although it will likely just be the wafflecat you’ll be talking to 😂
Very good interview, nice to watch, hope you interview more people like this :D About shotcaller i would say DPS should do it, its a nobrainer. Tank is basicly a DPS but has to also do the routing and pulls, Healer is also a dps but has to make sure people stay alive. What i would like to see more responsability from DPS in general. i play on 3200ish and people are not good enough to save themselves, pots, interrupts, defensives etc. They soley rely on healer to fix them. Feels like people should up their CC management and lower their DPS epeen :)
New retail tank besides watching a bunch of videos about different dungeons etc the main thing that helps me is the the saying i learned in the military "slow is smooth smooth is fast"
One thing about the threat issue, more applies to lower end people where they aren't pulling huge, more packs back to back to back. Where they will pull the first pack and pop every single offensive CD they have so they can see big numbers. And then have absolutely nothing for the next few packs, where the Ret pala is popping off on every one and pulling everything every time. Whereas if the tank simply rotated their offensive CDs as well as their defensive ones they'll do much better
Best pug I was ever in the tank told everyone what marker they were kicking and if your marker wasn't showing then you were 2nd kick on another marker. He had every pack marked instantly and it took all confusion away from the situation and just let me blast on my dh and kick with confidence.
The thing with meta is it only affects the top key pushers and bad players. And what I mean by that is every tank can push a +10 highest key for best reward. Every tank can. Pushing keys into the 15-20+ range you start to feel the difference which most people don’t even reach that high. And what I mean by it affects bad players. Some tanks that are meta specs just perform better with less effort. So it makes up for the skill set of the player and allows them to push higher than they normally could. A lot of players try to compare themself to the top % players in reality they are not even in the same conversation to even be worried about meta spec at all..
in my opinion key deplete should happen until it reaches the same lvl of key that u already timed so if i get a +30brh and i have it 28 timed i can deplete it until 28brh then it stays at that level
I’m still low key enough, that I’m checking kicks assuming they did damage. So far I friend 1 dps, crazy how awful people are at kicks when you actually look for that.
24:18 I have a friend just like Pika said... he is a Destro Warlock and i need to explain the same mechanics over and over again .... me: "Pls go watch some videos and learn something!" then he says "Nah... you're our leader so you can just explain mec for me" ... the worst of him is when i ask to stun adds and 5 sec after he stuns the adds, then i ask him "why now? I asked 5 sec ago and adds alrdy casted everything... so why?" and he says "oh sry i was casting Chaos bolt" ...
I play VDH so I can carry keys, I can't depend on other people. You don't want to interrupt? I'll do it. You don't want to learn your class and deal damage? I'll do it. smh
Let’s be real if ur playing WOW u don’t have a life lmaooo. The fact he has to say he has a job at the start of the video says a lot about the WOW scene. Its not like the game is extremely tough even at the highest level, it’s just time consuming
@TheTurtletaco123 agree for everything cept the part where this guy isn't just any player.. he's literally the best player in his position if compared to a sport. Now for the regular average joe, u hit the nail on the head.

i have watched all of your interviews so far. I love how you let your guest speak and not interrupt them. Thank you

Same about squishvegan and bears

Idk if u know but most people who talk like they know their stuff in class discords are very very far away from high keys
And he’s always chill about it. Equinox is the man
alright folks - you got what you wanted. Equinox is confirmed for an episode (:
I pick a onetrick offmeta tank over every metaslave with the same rating, they know their class perfectly
This interview was super helpful as someone planning to get into tanking M+! Love your videos, man, thanks for all your hard work!

Haha I’m a DH and felbladed onto the path of one, for brez, and then did it again 10 seconds later haha.
Very much learned the dangers of Felblade

Fantastic episode. Thanks to both of you. Pika is wonderful.
I'm watching while waiting for restart to end. Great video and great interview!
Ty Quazii! It’s really enjoyable to watch this! And ofc ty Pika
My favorite warrior content creator - thanks for making it happen, Quazii!
These interviews are awesome, Quazii! Great work interviewing, I think you ask great questions and present in a sincere and professional manner. Love the content
Crazy value brought by Quazziii. Thank you man. Grateful for the stuff youre doing to provide for us. Its huge. Thank you thank you thank you
I would KILL to hear about how Zaelia approaches resto druiud
That will probably be like if we would listen to a mathematician talking about higher math. We would barely understand him.
Another great video. I recently discovered your main channel and this channel. Such a fresh approach to WOW content. Great interviews❤️
Absolutely great interview👊

Yo Q, i love these kind of videos bc i learn alots from these.
My two favorite tanks I'm learning from in a single video! Getting my prot warrior to 2k in the next week or two because of you guys. Thanks!

Wow Quazii making friends on all levels in both WoW and FFXIV. Looking forward to your streams with these guys!

great tip, i might make a video guide on this with automarkers
I love these interviews!
It is remarkable how much of what this guy says is generally applicable to workplaces and not just to mythic plus runs.
these are amazing interviews.
Awesome episode
ty for next amazing video

True everything needs practice life is a practice and the method u use to practice will differ from everyone.
Protection Warrior no matter what :D
Yea, most of the times I've died as a tank it was trying to save some idiot pug dps who decided they were the puller. I won't do it anymore.
Actually warriors can handle one of those affix , the cc one , warrior fear shout does work on it for sure
The best part of this video is seeing Quazii slowly falling in love with Pika, culminating at 1:07:39
Respect for one of the best in the game ❤️
As a Fire Mage and Prot Paladin player... OW!
Is there a Google spreadsheet or something of twitch streamers, RUclips content, and class / role?
what a personality pika is

What's the diff btw a VDH and a rogue? As a beginner tank, not much.
He cannot use his nickname as is it's not because of copyright, its because it's a curse word in portuguese, so it prob is listed in a ban list
pls can you also interview the french tank dude from Mandatory?
Man wish Pika uploaded more 😢
I play VDH so I can carry keys, I can't depend on other people. You don't want to interrupt? I'll do it. You don't want to learn your class and deal damage? I'll do it. smh
Do you still play or have you quit yet

the routing is why Is topped playing WoW retail and Mythic +
Quazii try and get Critcake for an interview
3.2k aug evoker looking for team in eu :D I have a postive mentality
M+ Tanking advice is parenting advice.
I hate M+ routing, it's largely why I stopped tanking.
Pika-non-boo
I have been that moonkin with cds. 😅
You get top with a premade team. Cant do it with pug
Yes you can, it just takes a lot more time and stress.
