  • Hey guys! In this video you will be able to see how the Superficial and Deep Serratilis planes are blocked in dogs! In this block, we will inject local anesthetic into the serratus plane containing the lateral branches of the intercostal nerves that innervate the craniolateral aspect of the chest wall. We can perform this block in two ways: between the Serratus Ventral Thoracic muscles and the Latissimus dorsi muscle (superficial plane) or between the external intercostal muscles and the Serratus Ventral thoracic (deep plane). It is worth remembering that this block provides somatic analgesia of the chest wall, but does not provide visceral analgesia. Good class everyone!
