OMG Irene. That was so special. You did Mum proud. Stunning work. I especially loved this video as you were not working with a trained model. Your Mum is beautiful and your photos brought that out so wonderfully. Well done.
Great video, really great to see a a connection being shared and made through photography with a family member and it's great that you are taking time to share with your mother in a way that can be looked back on in years to come.

Mom knows how to, "work it!" You two were so delightful,,,loved this shoot. We've been following you since the early days and watched your progression grow and your style mature. Your tech tips are valuable to us. We too own the R5 and an 85 1.2 RF in addition to an R and two other RF lenses. We live north of you in Grande Prairie where autumn comes earlier and lasts about a week; also, darkness arrives early and stays late. We are so envious of the local environs where you do your natural light projects. Due to COVID-19 we had to curtail our couples sessions drastically, shut down our small studio and 'shift gears' so-to-speak - canine and equine photography is our new 'gig' now -- plenty of farms, ranches and stables in the North Peace and everyone seems to be a dog owner. We know it's been hard work, but may continued good fortune bless you and yours. TTFN

Your mother looks like a beautiful person on the inside as she is on the outside. You are so creative with using light and background and of course with your poses. And I love the 85mm focal length for outdoor portraits.

I think this is the greatest testimony to the R5, I have seen on RUclips. In the right hands, with the right subject, its obvious that the Canon R5 does not disappoint. Clearly this is now the top of the line camera for modern photography. The end results especially after editing are stunning. Clearly the R5 provides the foundation, but Irene your editing skills and vision for the photos is at least 40% of the final result. The model of course is a stunning God made beauty. One of the best videos I have ever watched on photography.
In a way it also goes to show how much work is needed to transform a picture as taken, to push it to the next level using dark room skills in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Definitely inspiring and makes me want to go out there and keep improving until I get to this level of stunning photos. What impressed me even more was that these were taken in natural light. Yet the results look like they had some help with reflectors, or some kind of flash, which in this case was clearly non existent. You cannot argue with the results.
It therefore takes a whole lot of dedication to excel at being a photographer in todays world. Knowing the camera and photography, and then learning how to edit in Lightroom/Photoshop... Years of personal development. Worth it though - great end result.

WOW!!! Are sure that's mom, for she looks to young and maybe like a older sister. But for sure we know were sis and you get your beauty and those gorgeous eyes you all have. Mom is a natural model for sure and if you can you might need to see if she'll shoot more as this was a gorgeous shoot Irene. Loved all the setting and changes in outfits especially the last one in the dress by the water as that was a great idea and those colors on mom worked perfectly for her. Brought out more of her beautiful face, hair and those eyes that you most defiantly were blessed to receive for you all take gorgeous shots when you highlight those beautiful eyes.
