    BTW! I heard you all (in my last video) when you said you want a V6 and a V8! I'm working on it!

    • @vit.budina
      @vit.budina 3 года назад +2

      Just wanted to ask: the only problem I had with the i3 and am having with the V2 is the curling of those very severe angles in the beginning of the print. Do you have any advice to overcome this issue? My bed is as level as I can get it, my fan is on 100% and I'm printing 20mm/s. Using Fillamentum Extrafill PLA.

    • @TurboSunShine
      @TurboSunShine  3 года назад

      @@vit.budina try having less fan on in the first few layers, maybe turn up the bed heat a little to 60?
      Edit: depending on your build surface, cleaning it with a little soapy water might help too

    • @vit.budina
      @vit.budina 3 года назад

      @@TurboSunShine Actually, the results got better when I changed my fan speed height limit from 1mm to 0.5mm. And I'm printing with 65°C on first layer and 50°C on the rest. I'll probably try to change my fan duct. Thanks anyway. And a quick question about your upcoming engine models: Will they be covered like the V2 or open like the i3? Thanks.

    • @vit.budina
      @vit.budina 3 года назад

      @@TurboSunShine didn't try printing it with anything else than 0.2mm layer height tho. Maybe it helps to print it finer so there's less material at a time to cool...

      Let me know when you solve the issues, and I can then post an update, i believe the et4 can be a good printer if the core features get a bit more polished.

      @@TurboSunShine I upgraded from an ET4 to an ET4 Pro, just for the "silent" aspect. Yes the stepper motors are MUCH quieter but what's the point if the power supply and fans sound like a vacuum cleaner? Original ET4 had MUCH quieter fans. The software for both printers is super buggy. Just leaves the feeling of no matter how much money you spend with Anet, they will always compromise and let you down somewhere. Also the auto bed leveling in ET4 is even worse, because that capacitive sensor changes sensitivity depending on the heat of the bed.... All I can do is sigh...

    I couldn't get mine working and one of their "ambassadors" ended up bullying me. A good friend of mine paid for an ender 3 when I told him my issues with the et4 when it was on sale for helping him on some 3d modelling projects. The et4 was used for spare parts /upgrades lol

    awesome review, nice to see you go down the honest, no BS route with reviews, instead of certain channels (cough)(just vlad)(cough) that tend to leave very biased ones. I really hope we see more reviews in future from you, im personally very interested in the latest ender 3 competitors like the lottmax sc-10 , and the prusa mini

    I know ender 3 is a big favourite among many people and somewhat worshipped. It really was the first reliable machine at a sane price point, but now its really really outdated and V2 doesnt help at all. I would say Biqu B1 is the new standard. Try contacting Biqu to get one for review, I would really love to see your take on torture testing it

    You could just get a Prusa MK3S in kit form. I know it is more expensive, but it doesn't require any upgrading to improve its performance. True you can get different nozzles and fabulous textured build plates and the MMU2S (thats a whole other way to go). But once assembled, the MK3S reliably works well.

    I heard the the power cut off resume feature only works if you unplug the cable instead of hitting the switch. Maybe hitting the switch doesn't trigger emergency resume but unplugging the cable itself will. Just a theory though.

    Excellent review but I have a question and Anet support is non existent so I am trying all avenues, hope you don't mind. I have the Anet ET4 with a proximity sensor version 3.0.0 firmware. It has been printing really well but now it will not home. Every time I attempt auto home on all axis Z just moves up. Nothing has been changed or touched any thoughts ?? Thanks

    i got myself the et4 a year ago all the vids i watched said it was silent and i tought is twas a steal guess it wasn't. The normal et4 does not come with silent stepper drivers. So i tought huh why not buy an et4 pro motherboard so it would be silent. that was a waste of money becous the et4 pro motherboard is not compatible with the normal et4 hardware. so hey nice way to go anet!

    • @souler94
      @souler94 3 года назад +1

      I had this problem too, but it can be fixed. If you use an ST Link V2, you can flash the firmware of the normal ET4 into the motherboard and it works like normal (but now silent). It is the same procedure as if you wanted to change to marlin. This has been a game changer for me and I love my ET4.
