    I rode the Western Maryland two times. Rode coach class on June 26, 2010 and rode in the cab of steam locomotive #734 on June 22, 2013.

    Thank you for the video & the explanation of the Western Maryland RR. I also like the steam Locomotives and even though there are only 2 static displays of the C & Os's Allegheny (2-6-6-6) remaining, I am very partial to that Locomotive.

    We have passed the old toll house back in 2013.
    Also our Hocking Valley Scenic Railway used to own #34's sister #33.

    #734 is currently out of service for an overhaul but the railroad now has #1309 they just finished work on that engine this year

      I rode in the cab of both 734 (June 2013) and 1309 (August 2022).

    If I remember correctly, this is from a video called "Thunder in the Alleghenies." I had it on VHS as a kid!

    I wish they would fix the curve at Frostburg so 1309 can be turned around

    They now have 1309 but they have retired 734

      Running gear was loose as a goose. 734 someday will be restored. Not like the frame is demolished or anything

      734 is still planned to someday get rebuilt again

    #734 (LS&I 34)'s Star Brass Desert 5 chime whistle sounds like #29's (34s other sister) at Grand Canyon Railway.
