This footage is from the same friend of ours who gave us yesterday’s marksman video, and the same one we funded a suppressor for. He has a buymeacoffee link in the description in case you’re looking to go above and beyond with support. (Also, our friend Arnie got his Jamming backpack yesterday which many of you raised money for). They’re both incredibly thankful for the support, even just by watching their experiences. We love you all, and I’ll keep you updated on where the donations go as I put out more combat footage. Thank you, Slava Ukraini.
I watch all of your videos
what do you think about the lost of Advivka ???
the late evacuation was a disaster, wasnt it ??
Good luck homie, from what i hear its a dire situation over there right now. stay safe.
Out of curiosity how much did that jamming backpack cost?
I'm amazed a bunch of random people on the internet are able to come together to afford such hightech equipment.

The fact that it is a gorgeous morning and the birds are singing is absolutely surreal...😮
Which leads us to realize that war is as natural as anything else. Human nature.

It's crazy listening to both artillery shells going off and birds chirping at the same time
It creates a cognitive dissonance in my mind.

He said oh wow. Exactly what I thought. That was beautiful sight!❤❤❤
My first thought was he was scanning the sky for drones. My cousin is in the UA, he says he spends a stupid amount of time looking at the sky... for Russian drones.

The crystal clear sound paired with the high video quality makes for the perfect immersive experience
These are the sort of sounds that stick with a soldier. Really immersive, intense and stressful. Thanks for posting this sort of content. I believe it's something all civilians need to watch, to get a better understanding of what soldiers go through, why so many of us end up with invisible wounds, and some eventually take their own lives. In ww2 footage its diffrent bc its black and white camera's
Yeah its surreal, thats what i thought the whole time over there

The frustration at an unidentified beeping noise provided some well needed comic relief, sounded just like the comtac low battery tone but far too frequent so I really wanted to know what cause it too
It’s a busy tone it basically means stay off the radio unless you absolutely need to. But in their situation I dont know why they’re letting it go for that long it is rather annoying. That one guy did say there was a lot of people on the channel so that’s probably why. Like to remind everyone that its there but also dont key up unless you’ve got some important shit to say

I don’t know if this is true but I like to think watching these things helps prepare you for the real thing. I pray I never have to be ready but this could help. The movies make war look like constant shooting but they don’t really show the real stuff, like sitting in a trench staring at the very beautiful sky for what I would assume feels like days. Thank you Civ for posting these things.
Same man... im a gamer its weird...
I learned a lot about war from these videos, there (or their i don't really care) not those chaotic battles in video games but much calmer and it's more uneasy then terrifying.

It doesn’t. You would think so, but it doesn’t. I’m sorry.
I know that artillery is decently far away, but just hearing how constant it is really sends a chill down your spine. Crazy that these guys are able to become so calm with all that going on in the distance.
Seeing the contrast in the videos that come out of this conflict, not just in intensity or tactics, but down to the dialogue, the terrain, the weather, the condition of the trenches the attitudes of the men. It’s both heartbreaking and incredible to see. Just seeing the green of the grass on the edges of their trench brought an almost unsettling calm. I’m not sure how to describe it.
hearing all those bangs, knowing that some of those bangs kill someone...
Them discussing the beeping sound was pretty hilarious.

@@justryan6480 🤦♂🤣
This is honestly the most terrifying video I have seen from Ukraine to do with artillery, we think back on WW1 and WW2 and hear of shell shock and PTSD. Its almost like seeing some of those historic battles being played out, back to trench warfare.
Its honestly crazy to hear that, knowing someone is under that heavy barrage let alone near it, imagine hearing this as a civillian living near, knowing this is coming your way.
I saw another video of bahkmut before from the group I donate too who supply trucks to the front line, they was in that town and the damage already from unconcentrated artillery and strikes was severe, and that was before this barrage.
Unbelievable, you have my unwavering support, to volunteer and live through this, all those soldiers are heros.
That’s because you only watch RUclips.
Trench warfare never left, just countries like the US began fighting indefensible countries in the Middle East. There's no other way to conduct land warfare in Europe other than trench warfare... where do you think the soldiers would be other than dug in?
I never saw this side of RUclips but I am thankful to Civ for bringing me here. Seeing these type of content somehow fills me with dedication towards my work thinking what the soldiers have to face everyday. I know it might sound lame but I feel this way. If possible I really wanna meet you Civ and I'll try to...someday when I'll grow up to be someone. (Forget my YAP Love the videos man)

When I turned on the dolby surround sound on my mixamp, this video got way too real. Amazing audio, but the constant thunder is horrifying, just think of what's happening in the distance... it's like World War I.
It really is, look up some drone images of battlefields in Ukraine, they're a 1:1 copy of a WW1 battlefield with all the craters and trenches.
your videos are awesome man. you are an inspiration to me. thank you for protecting my siblings overseas!
Bro be safe I know that’s ironic but still dude thanks for giving those that have no understanding of war some knowledge. Thanks 🙏
23:30-23:33 is the fastest power nap I have ever seen!
Put some quality headphones on and the immersion is insane. I cannot imagine being present here, various types of explosions from artillery, grenades, rocket artillery, mortars, RPGs, small arms etc. all going off constantly. These dudes just chilling in the trench waiting for the order to go over the top. This is how I imagine the daily life of a soldier in a trench on the western front during WWI must have been like. Absolutely insane! Over 100years later and war hasn’t changed all that much.
dude, the audio is something else in the quiet moments. the way the artillery thumps. not captured correctly in any kind of media. big goose bumps.
For the algorithm, looking forward to this one, thanks for the post as always man
11:14 - I see that "bonking" is still an issue. Here's an excerpt from an article in 2011 about that. _The digital radios' shortcomings are so widely known that they've acquired nicknames. There's the 'digital cliff,' when a radio is out of range and the connection ends without warning. There's 'bonking' - also dubbed 'the sound of death' by some Philadelphia firefighters - when an important transmission gets rejected because too many other radios are using the system. Then there's 'going digital,' when a radio emits a garble of beeps and tones instead of a voice._
Digital radios have some serious advantages, but they also have some major shortcomings. The “digital cliff” is one of them. My local fire department uses analog mode for fireground (on scene comms) because of the issues with digital voice.
It’s better to have 50% of a transmission come through compared to nothing at all.
Armies still have and train radio operators because there’s an art to using comms gear, especially outside the realm of talking to somebody that’s 1-2 km or so away from you.
Best bet is to have a primary and secondary/backup radio. They should be able to talk to each other, even if that’s in analog mode.
Also, don’t discount tactical HF. For these purposes, VHF high band (136-174 MHz) is fine, and low/mid band VHF (FM tactical radio) is slightly better.
Yep we’re 20 years into the 21st century but often it’s 1940s radio technology that works best.
@@R4002Eeyup! Old School is still best school. HF goes a looooong way! I remember doing HF relay exercises while in Hawai'i, with stations in San Diego and Norfolk.
@@IonOtteryessir, HF is still used for all sorts of purposes and there are a lot of reasons for that. For short range tactical comms, the typical handheld VHF radios and VHF/UHF radios (136-174 MHz, 400-512 MHz, coverage might be slightly different depending on the radio) are fine.
There are situations where the 30-88 MHz VHF FM (often just called “FM” to avoid confusion with the VHF 108-137 MHz aircraft band) is superior. Lower frequencies mean longer range, but they also require longer antennas.
For short range comms, you can usually get away with a crappy antenna. Usually. I still think having a secondary radio (backup radio) is ideal. For longer range (beyond line of sight, which is in the 1-3 km ballpark for infantry at ground level with no high ground) recon ops, tactical HF is often the best option.
Hey civ i hope youre doing well in Ukraine. Love from Portugal 🙌🫂
Thank you for documenting All of this.
Thank you for your service guys!!
I just realized, the iraq generations of warfighters developed ptsd with trash and objects in the road. But the Ukraine warfighters will probably always feel a sense of fear when they hear drones after returning from war.
No worries about it being a little older. Personally, I watch your videos to get a better on-the-ground sense of combat; the intensity and drudgery of it.

Great upload. I appreciate this is the type of content, this is what I subscribed for. Keep coming please.
Oh, I also appreciate the honest title, and they’re not being text throughout the vid. Excluding translation. That is always welcome. Keep it coming.
the start of the video watching the first group leave is insane couldnt imagine being in the second group knowing its your turn next to leave and move up
This placement on the battlefield gave me a broader perspective of how this is happening. Fight like hell brothers and sisters.
This is really fascinating. Thanks man, keep safe
Thats pretty scary. Imagine being on gaurd rotation sleeping in whatever makeshift hole made to be alerted by your battle buddies that there's incoming attack and just thinking that this maybe that last scenery you'll may ever see. Chilling... aint going to lie, panic would settle in pretty fast 😅
Trench warfare..."The more things change, the more they stay the same."
It’s so surreal seeing such a terrifying shitshow unfold under such a beautiful sky.
Pretty crazy how it can look so nice with the sunrise and nature, and still be exlotions, gunfire and death in the same place ://
Maybe that is why experiences in wars mould some people to write beautiful poems rich with depth and influences, what you think?
-let's the video play out for immersion
-30 min of trench sitting
Im at 3:31, and got to say, holy shit these artillery sounds with headphones. Brutal yet fascinating.
Take care out there brother, please come back in one piece! Thank you for your service
I love that you can hear even the bees buzzing around hima very natural and beautiful land and you can almost feel the thunmps in your chest
It's insane to think that even today people are fighting in similar situations to soldiers over a hundred years ago in the first world war
Only because kiev is stupid. Ukraine cannot afford static warfare. They were only successful and only have men and ammo and vehicles for a dynamic mobile defense. That includes the frontline. Letting enemy penetrate and fighting them in pockets
History repeats itself. We always go back to war when the last generation (ww2 and Vietnam) all are gone and the new leaders are able to use their people for war. Happens Every 80 yrs!
And it’s all pointless
Was there a reason my reply was deleted? I just said history repeats itself especially when the last generation that went through war are gone from old age.
Thanks for this! I appreciate the unedited footage
its crazy how relaxing artillery can be when you at zero threat of death..... I can't imagine it being there even after seeing this war go on for so long. with all the high def cameras and microphones it still does nothing to capture the feeling of having that shit flying over you head...for the most part.
Im in eu im not realy in danger but it does scare me
For some reason, the chirping of birds in the trees as troops filed towards a firefight beneath them, and the panoramic view of Robin's egg-blue skies that would have been the perfect backdrop for countryside hiking or outdoor sports in times of peace, make for a jarring and surreal juxtaposition of imagery as the crup of artillery exchanges echoes in the near distance during Ukraine's year 2024.
Love you're vids and hope you the best
The noise of artillery 😮
Just the sound of nature and war sounds terrifying
for me its intense to think about what happened on these fields 80 years ago, the back and forth, not its happening again with changed parties
