Yet another spine tingling moment from Terry when you started playing the hymns.......Truly magical. I can't comprehend the developers wishing to demolish such a wonderful building so they can make more profit... Thank goodness common sense prevailed. Thank you so much for this almost spiritual video...
Hi Terry, I can't believe that anyone would want to destroy a church that's just valdalism, l will certainly be watching your livestream live see you soon, and thank you for your amazing piano playing. Dinshaw
@@TerryMilesPiano Hi Terry, Yes I'll be tuning in tonight no problems I'm going to visit this church once the weather improves and take a few pictures. Dinshaw
Very interesting Terry. They did well to save it as too many beautiful buildings are knocked down by developers. It must have felt a privilege to play there and they were so welcoming. Loved what you played on the organ too., great sound!
Thank you AnnTickettyboo. Yes, it was an honour to be asked along to play there. Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed the video. All the boogie best. Terry 🤠🙏🎹
My grandmother played piano at a small pub in Roxwell, Essex during the blitz. When the yanks came over my grandfather was a US airman and met her in the pub where she played piano. They got married there in Roxwell in 1945. She passed away this past year. That 17th century pub (Chequers) closed during covid and is reopening this year after raising funds from the public (including from me and my family here in Louisiana). Would love for you to play piano there one day!
Yes, Michael, I do manage to play a Boogie Woogie on the organ in this church. Look forward to seeing you later on for my latest 'Terry Miles Church / Chapel Organ Quest' premiere. All the boogie best. Terry 🙏🤠

Terry you play so beautifully on this organ. What a lovely chapel. Such a great history of this chapel. I can’t believe they wanted to tear down this chapel. The architecture is so beautiful and amazing! You will never find anything like it. Thank you for the tour Terry. God Bless.
Thank you Nancy. Look forward to seeing you later on for my latest Terry Miles Church / Chapel Pipe Organ Quest premiere at 8PM - UK Time - BST - this evening ( Tuesday, April, 2nd ). All the boogie best to you, Nancy. Terry 🙏
I worked in London my whole life and loved to visit as many churches as I could. I can't believe I have never heard of this Chapel. Stunning inside, and the people were so welcoming. I will definitely be visiting this summer. Your music was beautiful as ever, thank you Terry and Elsie😊
Also UNDER the video, a short comment and greetings to the "nearly famous" 😄😄😄 organist. Your own words, Terry, as you surely will remember. I`m really glad, that I found your channel on YT a long time ago. All the Boogie best to you !
Luminous chapel & lovely hosts 🌞🙏welcoming folks to enjoy & explore this Well-hidden Gem! Kindest Thanks 😇 for favourite hymns, bit of Boogie Playfulness, & sharing this Vibrant place with us Terry!!
It's fantastic to hear your enthusiasm for the Fitzrovia Chapel and its preservation within modern developments in London. The story you've shared, highlighting the chapel's history, transformation, and current role within the community, reflects a unique blend of history and modernity. It’s a reminder of how spaces can adapt and continue to serve new purposes while preserving their historical essence. The fact that it has been repurposed and integrated into contemporary urban life, yet still retains its architectural and historical significance, is indeed something to appreciate. The chapel's survival and adaptation offer a fascinating glimpse into how history can be preserved and appreciated in the midst of modern urban development.
Save us from the developers of this wonderful world. Terry, what a wonderful treat you are heaven sent for sure. Keep doing what you are doing. SOOO wonderful !!!!! As a messenger boy I recall delivering greetings telegrams to said hospital in the very early sixties. What a beautiful church..... Well done Terry. 🙂🙂🙂
How could they even think of demolishing such a beautiful building. Insane idea from greedy developers. Thankfully being listed it was saved for future generations to love and admire. It's a glorious masterpiece
Oh Terry…you hit all the right notes on this wonderful pipe organ, what a blessing this wonderful Chapel was saved. Thank you for a brief history on this area. Wish you could visit Wimborne Minster Church ( my local) Must close I’m getting tearful. Love Rita in Dorset 🥰
Hi. It would have been a pity had it to be demolished. Such a beatiful church! Saved because it was listed. If only this could indeed happen in my country,.
What a beautiful House of God....Now preserved for another 200 years. Wish the cameraman had showed more of those squares of the people who donated to save that building.
So pleased that this beautiful Victorian chapel became listed preventing it's demolition. Great premiere Terry. Like & share this video please folks! Thank you 😁

Sorry I missed this last night thank you for sharing this piece of history and the story behind it for me it was of special interest as I was born in that hospital 63 years ago next Thursday the 11th April and as always great playing Terry atbb Steve C 👍🎹🤠🍻

I used to pass that way quite often during the demolition of the hospital. You have no need to be religious to be horrified at the thought of some philistines demolishing it.
Unconsecrated church with a heart indeed!I really do not understand what is happeneing to the world at large. The unveiling of a statue clled "Lawrence" and yet the temple is unconsecrated.
I was working on Tottenham Court Road when the hospital was being demolished. It was odd to see the Chapel sitting undisturbed while the hospital around it disappeared.
I love this. I wish there was places like rhat near me here in IL. Their cpuld be 8n Chicago. But we haven't gone to any churches I Chicago. Nor have I been into any Catholic burch. I only been to Presbyterian and Baptist and non-denominal churches. So thete very well be something like that here in Joliet.😊
The stones are so beautiful.. I was very surprised at the high quality of that chapel.. It must have received one or two huge donations.. Must have cost a mint. I also noted that i could not see a cross in this chapel..

Terry, I have to say that the camera work in capturing so much of the beauty of this chapel is quite exceptional. Is that Elsie filming? Really professional. But .... but was there boogie-woogie really necessary? Personally I don't think so but of course you have your fans haha. Nonetheless a wonderful portrayal of this delightful and it's organ.
