Awesome group of guys on your trips Jason, I also watch Dans channel, you guys are great together and Paul and Luca just top it off 👌👌 I definitely vote for keeping the radio chatter, and more campsite shots and car setups/camp setups etc 👍 Great work Jason👍 Look forward to the next one
Thx for the feedback James. Yeah they're a great bunch. Paul and Luca both have a lot of experience, definitely a bonus having them along. Dan does a great job with his video's building the story's, it's something I'm working on including more.
Another great video. Really enjoy watching your drives . We were up in the same area in January and came across that fallen tree on wet gully track. At the time it was very soft on the downhill slopes so we couldn’t go around it. We backtracked to Steiners Lane Which was extremely overgrown but added a few pinstripes getting to the bottom of it only to find a locked gate that led onto Private land so probably just as well you didn’t end up on that track anyway! Keep the great videos coming.
wow ok thx for the heads up on Steiners Ln, one of the hard things navigating in the high country sometimes. Bummer you couldn't get round the fallen tree, we were lucky it was an easy drive.
That was great, I always wondered what that ridge would be like to drive. Ive spent too much time in the valleys below . Probably could have found a better camp spot . Keep up the good work, thanks
We tried driving Gunns via the Buckland valley but it was seasonally closed. Definitely have to tick this off perhaps when hitting Blue Rag next. Thanks again Jason
Great drive mate, so good the views and the terrain. I love ridge drives. If you want another vehicle to do the track with the van I'll come along. Got all the gear and all the time as well. I'm not far from Albury, just a few hours. Cheers, BobbyB.
Thx Bobby, would love to catch up sometime! Agree Gunns Track coubled with the Albion Track was, while not a difficult drive definitely epic for scenery.
Great track mate and one i'll put o my list of tracks to do. Amazing the difference between the GoPro and iPhone footage....I felt that as well as better showing steepness of gradients, the colour vision quality was better although this changed when you went to the Hero 7 form outside view. Alos I'm a fan of the uhf chatter between the guys.
Hey Mark, yeah thanks it's an epic track. Quality is an interesting one as what you see on youtube is very different to the raw footage I take. The GO Pro shoots at 2K and it's generally crystal clear however by the time it's compressed for streaming on youtube you get a lot of motion blur. The difference in demonstrating the gradient though was quite pronounced. Might look into getting another camera to match external footage with internal UHF audio :-) Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus your videos are easily the most informative, no nonsense guides to the area! I enjoy watching them for this reason so keep up the good work 👏
Another great video. I remember you doing Gunns track from the other direction. The views from this way are beautiful. So would you have a preference on which way is better?
Hey Gary, well remembered. Honestly both directions are pretty epic, as I have the camera usually on the passenger side going this direction probably captured more. I'ts a great drive either way, the first direction I did the driver is closer to the edge on the big drop off sections which probably made that a bit more hairy to do. Sorry that probably doesn't help does it but it's pretty awesome whichever direction you do it.
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus thanks and I definately like these ridge line tracks as well. I normally solo drive so can’t bang on enough on how informative your vids are showing the whole track. Very much appreciated. Cheers!
Awesome drive thanks Jason, definitely on the must‐do list now! Just love ridgetop drives & Blue Rag is getting so busy, this & Buffalo Range are equally as good if not better and less busy 😉
Thx Ian, couldn't agree more. Gunns in particular every bit as good as Blue Rag without the traffic. You could have a great day trip from Bright entering where we exited and taking Avalon, onto Gunns then onto Dargo High Plains and doing Blue Rag and heading back...

Meal looked great.
Thx mate, yeah Dan does a top job! He's a great bush cook and puts a lot of effort in.
Try the dead end track. There is a trig point marker. Great views of Hotham, Feathertop, thr Horn and Mt Buffalo.
thanks for the heads up will check that out on a future trip!

Definitely be putting this in my list to drive one day. Thanks Jase for doing this whole trip mate, some great tracks covered.
Thx mate, Devils Hollow was a bit of a must do after your video a while back. Gunns and Albion are definitely worth the drive.
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus need to camp there Jase, the sunset and sunrises are amazing.

Yeah mate it is one that is seasonally closed, I should have mentioned that in the video, will be open again end of October. Sorry about that.

Great video mate, interesting track id like to try one day.
Heaps of trees down, wish I could of collected some for firewood at home 🏡
A few take that opportunity, we had enough for camp that night otherwise would have gathered more.
