    Another great video!
    Killer sense of humor, I look forward to your releases.
    Honesty and introspection in the deep dark world of guitar acquisition.

    Congrats on your book! I remember you mentioned working on it months back. Nice to see it’s ready for the world. I hope to have a read soon. I of course play guitar and would love to enjoy a nice book written by someone I’ve been following since the early days of this channel. I was among your first followers. Should be an interesting ride!
    As for the couple of people getting mad over your RUclips titles, just ignore them. Those people write similar posts every time they see a title that strikes them as being clickbait - and very often the title is as literal as day, which they would know had they bothered to watch the entire video. As you told someone, curiosity makes people click. There’s nothing wrong with doing it. I didn’t think this title was clickbait, per se, when you did reveal something that many people would not have known. Sigh, I get tired of people saying they’ll unsubscribe for a title - the only person that gets punished is that unsubbed individual who will miss out on good content. You’ll get more followers. It really won’t hurt you that much. Instead of wasting time defending your titles, take that time to reply to some deserving comments instead. 😉👍🏻

    Thank you for sharing some of your secrets :) If you want to connect with people more, these introspective videos, where you show yourself is a good seed to captivate the audience. Nobody cares if the channel is small, but know I feel those kind of videos with connect better than ever with subs. In the end, a guy that has so many PRSs and earns that money is interesting in itself for many people. Since not all people can have that priviledge, it is good you share some of yourself. Sharing your guitar collection was to me a start. I though you were just a geek before.

    Very cool. I'm a bit like you. I'm also a musician who writes novels. I'm working on my 4th novel currently. I used to play in a band, wrote songs for pop-stars, and composed music for film and video games. I also worked in comic books, animation, video games and film as writer, director, concept artist, art director, and illustrator. I have a photography business too and shoot mostly portraits and real estate.

    It suits you that you told this, but its human to make mistakes! Look at the world leaders, they are lyers to all in these times of horror. So have a healthy new year and do not be ashamed! Much❤to you and your family in 2025......

    Creative people usually have various outlets to express themselves, given the opportunity.
    I hope to get your book after tax season here in the spring when I'll have some time.
    Music is still waiting for the NIRVANA moment.
    Country has come close but imho has been watered down with too much pop and rap added.
    Cheers! 🎉🍻

      haha this is the usual time i release all my videos. gives me a few hours to monitor performance and adjust before sleeping. I've experimented with different timings but it's a bit like the stock market . I'm sure it has some impact (contrary to what youtube says) but timing it correctly is almost impossible

    Hi Utkarsh! This is going to be a bit long so bare with me. Thanks for sharing this! To start with, I do not think that this was click bait at all, nor do I think ithe timing of your announcement is odd at all. You even provided the timepoint of 7:34 for individuals to go directly to the secret you were keeping. The title could have been better instead of "Dark Secret" which could have led to the gentleman's comment below, since it is not a dark one but rather just a secret, a good one at that! Having said that, I think you can expect to have some remarks here that may stem more out of jealousy. Imagine, you worked your way up from growing up in India and making it big in Singapore corporate ladder of P&G! You have composed more than 100 songs, you worked hard in order to allow you to indulge in your passion of collecting these precious guitars, you have a band as well, a beautiful and lovely wife, great home and vehicles, and now you have a book as well of 600 pages, that have great reviews in Amazon. All these at such a young age! When you shared and featured your guitars here, I started seeing some comments that stemmed out of mere jealousy and had to chuckle at some of these folks. I grew up in the Philippines from a humble home and made it to where I came to the US, served the Navy honorably for 20 years in the area of clinical research and operations, attended numerous Navy schools, capitalized on what I learned, joined corporate America, and now work as a Director for a major biotech industry, and though I do not have the amount of guitars you do, I do get some sarcastic comments from friends on the quantity of guitars I own, which I have trickled down now to less than 12, and all I tell them is that I worked my bones to have the right to acquire what I have whether or not they think that's right or wrong. I view all of your posts objectively and hope people here do to, as well! You deserved all these successes because none of these were handed to you on a silver platter; you earned them! I have ordered the book and wish you more success! Best wishes to you and yours in the coming 2025!

    Well that clickbait just cost you my subscription. As you well know, people’s tolerance for being patronised can be low, as is mine and my ability to walk away from channels that do, such as your’s, as well as Facebook, X, Instagram and Whatsapp in their entirety and without equivocation is always my default.
    So take your ideas about thinking clickbait as being a really clever way to monetise me and shove it!
    I wish you well and I hope you take this with the same consideration as I have.

  • @tonedowne
    @tonedowne 3 дня назад +1

    You should hit up someone like me to pick the best bits of your music and turn it into something.
    You have invested so much into guitars, and so little into your art.
    You could sell a handful of of high end guitars and have enough money to hire a good producer with a proper studio, and some musicians.
    I understand that this video is about promoting the book, but you should think about doing the actual thing that inspired it.

    • @ministryofguitar
      @ministryofguitar  3 дня назад

      I think it’s a fair point. It’s difficult to get into a head space of creating art when you are doing a high powered corporate job. It’s literally the opposite. Even a year after quitting I am now perhaps finally in the headspace. Thanks for the help offered but I don’t need help with production. I’ve been recording and producing songs for years. Just haven’t gotten around to publishing and promoting them. That will be remedied soon

    • @ministryofguitar

      Curiosity is unfortunately the life-blood of RUclips viewership. I would love to have it different and do elegant video titles. But sadly I can't change human nature.
      The other option is not make videos at all, as without 'clickbait' thumbnails, they wouldn't get any views as RUclips's algorithm would deprioritise it. But I don't think my audience would like that

    • @matekerek1039
      @matekerek1039 4 дня назад +9

      You can’t change human nature. But You can change your own behavior and not feed the fire. And all for what? Clicks? Money? Please,be respectful and don’t justifie your monetary intentions with ‘what the audience wants’ and ‘human nature’. It stinks.
