Amazing Video!! I followed this and i actually completed the task i had been procrastinating for over 4 months!! Took only 45 mins to complete!! Clicking that checkbox for complete never felt so beautiful!! Huge thanks to you!!
When I click the checkboxes it transfers over the same checkboxes in a different view... ex: I have Monday to Friday set up and the view tabs I have are week 1, week 2, etc. So whatever I checkbox on week 1, stays check boxed also in week 2.... Is there a way to fix this?
Hey...hi...❤️ from India! Can you explain how you created date as a first column in your daily habits tracker.. i.e. how you removed/hide very first name column
i used this to-do-list method Question : In the Template for the To Do ... I want to have the todays date to be automatically inserted in the DO-DATE I tried adding a formula like now() directly in the template field ... errrr... naaah ! LOL Solution?
Great explanation! Thank you for this video. Anyway, do you mind to share with us this template for free, please? so that we could use it righttt, away! :) just a suggestion! have a nice day! thank you.
Here's a troubleshoot: 1.) Try using the search bar and searching for it by name in the create linked database window. 2.) If you still can't find it, make sure your database that you're trying to connect is NOT an inline database. It should be a full page database. 3.) If this still doesn't work, go back to the original database and make sure it has the right name that you're searching for. If you need more help I'm happy to help. Just send me a screen recording using a chrome extension called "loom", walk through your set-up and show me exactly what you're trying to do. I'm sure I can help you get it figured out. ;-) Thank you for watching.
1. your video is the first one on the search. 👍🏻 ( even though it doesn't have the most views, yet ) 2. liked it 3. Do you actually put in such obvious tasks like: Brush my teeth, walk my dog and make my bed? 4. The only problem I had with it is that there is no that page in the data base list. ( I can only create a link to that page, but not to make it show up on the main page )
When starting off your journey to creating good habits and tracking tasks, I find it effective to put in small tasks because when you check each task off, it’s a success. Even though it’s a little success it’s good to build off of the small tasks. Make sure your database is a full page database and not an inline database. If you continue having trouble with creating linked databases try checking out my Full Notion tutorial for 2022 or my Notion Databases Explained in 30 minutes video. That might clear some confusion and go more in-depth on your issue! Thanks for watching!
Can I make it so that when I click the "New" button on the task list, it automatically picks the template I created? Right now I have to click the "New" button and then the template.
Try out the new task list video. I left a link to it in the top comment. It’s a bit more streamlined and it utilizes inline template buttons, which I prefer over the database page templates.
I know of them, but I don't use them a whole lot unless there is something super important that I'm worried about forgetting. I use Notion pretty much every day so I don't really feel that I usually need the reminder function.
How can I delete the last column that I do not need to use in the table view? And how can I size down the table so I can put another thing in the same line? Like on the right of it, just like what you do with your daily habit tracker next to the to-do list
Nice, I recognize this goes beyond a to-do list but I would suggest your due date being for the overall project. If you have a task that is not related to a project then typically will be lower priority from my experience.
For some, Apple reminders may work fine, especially as a to-do list app. For more advanced users looking to create user-friendly, yet robust databases that's where Notion gets it's edge.
Whenever I create a To-Do List in Notion I'm confused on what I'm supposed to do with the completed task. Should I delete it or I store it somewhere in Notion ? Any suggestions ?
If you want to store your completed tasks I recommend you create another list view on your to-do list. In that list view you can set a filter to where it only shows completed tasks. Similarly, on your normal to-do list I would set a filter to where it only shows you tasks you need to complete. If you need more help on this I have an in-depth video explaining this stuff coming soon. Keep your eye out.
Hi, Simple & elegant format A query.. is each row in the table actually a page ( displayed with clicked in first column of row)? Eg task “ walk the dog” when clicked shows a page with name of the task.. If yes, then (1) how can we use this feature? The new page feature (2) if a task is actually with many sub tasks, how we can create it in daily to do list? And (3) how to create a table where rows don’t turn into a page?
Yes each row is a page. 1.) I usually put notes or details in there. 2.) Check out my video on to-do lists with subtasks. It's coming out tonight. 3.) It's impossible.
Thank you very much would it be possible if you just share the already made template I'm new to notion, but if anything I'll follow the steps as you showed.
I need to share how I am creating the todo list. It might be surprising, but I am not using "Do date", instead I use formulas that calculates urgency :) Instead of using "!, !!, !!!" or the "UI, nUI, UnI, nUnI" I have 3 separate properties: Weight (Important, Others), Urgency (ASAP, Urgent, Can wait) and Difficulty (Complex, Easy) < last one you can change to "time consuming / fast". So now I am adding a Formula property named "Priority" that sumarises those properties according to their impact on the task. I want to do Urgent tasks first, because this property descibes amount of time that I have to make those. After urgency I am using Weight so I can first focus on more important stuff, and at last I want to take actions over more complex tasks, because they can be more time consuming to get over them. Here is the formula for that: if(prop("Urgency") == "ASAP", 200, if(prop("Urgency") == "Urgent", 100, 0)) + if(prop("Weight") == "Important", 10, 0) + if(prop("Difficulty") == "Complex", 1, 0) And the last part of this process is just sort the list descending according to "Priority". If you want to improve this, you can create other formula, that will calculate the Do Date according to the priority, complexity and Due Date, so you dont have to decide when you want to do such things, but soft will tell you when to do it ;) Keep up awesome work Dude!

It's impossible to hide the name column but you can drag it over to the far right side so it's not visible.

Thanks A Lot!
My new database does not show in the list when I choose to create linked database 8-(. I followed you step by step.

yes but using social media for even 10 minutes is a wastage of your life's time
