Nothing against Adele but I think I like this version better. I think it’s just refreshing to hear it differently especially after it got overplayed.
And it honestly sounds like it was intended to be played this way all along.
My last job, 2007 -2016 rolling in the deep played at least once a day sometimes 3. I asked to switch the radio because of it. Resulting in it becoming a forced favorite song of mine from my coworkers. First time I heard the song it was sung by an amateur on American Idol, and I liked it. So by my calculations In have heard the song at least 3000 times unwantedly. Hehe.

Unwanted, but not unplanned. It is the plan to get as many repeats as possible. People will get used to the product and start to like it, later even love it and miss it, if they don't get what they have been spoon-fed.

The thing that REALLY gets me about Anthony is he's such a pure musician. He can sing in so many styles, has a huge vocal range and plays how many instruments but I'd only stumbled across him by chance. His name should be all over the place.

I can't find it online, but I read this in an interview with Billie Joe in total guitar magazine, he even used the original guitar in the video, hopefully I still have that magazine so I can prove it

This is exactly what happened with David Cook's cover of "Always be my Baby." A lot of people thought David Cook was the original and Mariah Carey just covered it. That's what happened in the Philippines.

chumon1992 it says a lot for Adele's song writing. You may hate the way she produced it, but stick that guitar sound in that you like and all of a sudden it's awesome. You can't do that with any old song; decently written songs can transcend a genre, whereas 90% of the canned shit you hear on the radio will sound like shit no matter what you do with it.
