probably takes forever to get the right exposure for the room and the camera guy was like 'fuck that' when they went to walk around much brighter areas
I lived in that particular area of Colorado Springs for quite a while and my dad actually met (and drummed for at the scene of) the newest Peanut Pusher. There's even one of the original peanuts in the local museum (I've seen it up close and had to clamp my hand over my mouth to stop from laughing outrageously). It's just a singular peanut on a glass pedestal sitting alone ominously in the corner.
@@vickywitton1008 They also celebrate the day that some victorian woman's corpse slid down a mountain! And then they put their friends in coffins and race with them
"what I assume is a small, manageable mountain." Actually, Pikes peak is over 14000ft elevation, over 8000ft above the surrounding area. The tallest mountain in the UK is only just above 4400ft total elevation.
I proposed on Pike's Peak. We got married the last week before the pandemic in 2020. It's about the height of the tallest mountains in the Rockies and it has much lower ground around it, so the summit hike is actually pretty substantial (long, not terribly hard compared to some others). What a nut!
34:44 Lewis Brindley, the Peanut Pusher, first man to push a peanut into the river in Bristol with his nose. Sadly, the man holding the peanut at the time has not been seen since.
A "cockapoo" is a (relatively recently officially recognized) dog breed, a cross-breed between a cocker spaniel and a poodle. Apricot is presumably its fur's coat colour.
My first thought when hearing about the woman walking the banana was "she's just doing so her friends can record it then put it on the internet". Then I realized the cricketer must be her friend.
A bumper is a short segment of music or sound used in transitions between sections in podcasts, the terminology comes from radio. He was scratching his nose. Ffs.
I know I'm late to this, but I thought I'd put my Psychology A-level to good use: walking a banana is actually a therapeutic technique for reducing anxiety in CBT and REBT. If someone could do something as embarrassing as walking a banana, and see there's no real consequence, then it reduces anxiety in doing other 'out there' things in public. I guess the original concept didn't involve a cricketer publically exposing you on local news for it, but there you go (assuming this woman is doing this as part of therapy and not genuinely walking her pet banana...)
love island is absolutely horrible, I can't believe it exists, I don't know how it hasn't been cancelled when 10+ people who were on the show have killed themselves from the horrible negative effects it has on people's psychology, even viewers have killed themselves or suffered negative psychological consequences.
I just love when I get that notification or pop up saying "You have a new subscriber!" Or "Somebody just liked your comment!" Makes my day brighten up!!!!😟🍀
They looked like they were in heaven, when they searched for Daf
You call me?
I know the fucking exposure was nuts.
probably takes forever to get the right exposure for the room and the camera guy was like 'fuck that' when they went to walk around much brighter areas
Most chaotic episode
Starts with a frenzied search for a toy dog and ends with recipes for banana split.
it's just the yogpod coming to haunt us all for nearly an hour.
That realisation of daf not being there was great
Lewis looks like a west coast dad that works from home for an insurance agency, and Simon is his mechanic-shop-worker dad friend
💯
Hearing Lewis say "scoop" at 32:29 made my brain autocomplete the entire Moonquest rant.
LoL I say that out loud from time to time

Oh neat. I might check that museum out next time I'm down there.
I gather not much happens there!
@@vickywitton1008 They also celebrate the day that some victorian woman's corpse slid down a mountain! And then they put their friends in coffins and race with them
At 16:41 you could see the beginnings of a Lewis cry laugh breakdown, but seems he composed himself. Equally impressed and let down
I'll never forget diesel.ogg, and the Garbage Truck Simulator. Recherché was good, too.
4:39 O no! 😱 Thanks for another awesome video/pod. Loved the excursion!
peanut pushed up pikes peak, perforated plastic put in poo and person in park with peculiar pet. perfect.
"what I assume is a small, manageable mountain."
Actually, Pikes peak is over 14000ft elevation, over 8000ft above the surrounding area. The tallest mountain in the UK is only just above 4400ft total elevation.
I made the mistake of starting this as I sat down for lunch, I almost choked from laughter in the first minute or two…

I legit thought their dog ran away until I remember it was a stuff toy haha
Lewis: "I read a thing"
Simon: "Oh god..."
34:44 Lewis Brindley, the Peanut Pusher, first man to push a peanut into the river in Bristol with his nose. Sadly, the man holding the peanut at the time has not been seen since.
The guttermun bit was so funny lmao

My first thought when hearing about the woman walking the banana was "she's just doing so her friends can record it then put it on the internet". Then I realized the cricketer must be her friend.
truly amazed there was no comment about the sign behind the banana lady that looks like it says “Clits”
11:25 "how does a Bristol accent go" asks man who has lived in Bristol for the last 10 years
"15 miles away, which is pretty far." Laughs in American.
Lewis being a Vulcan would make so much sense 🖖
I love Peculiar Portions! Please keep making more :)
2:39, Lewis suggests doing "bumpers" and proceeds to motion to snort. Those office parties must be something.
A bumper is a short segment of music or sound used in transitions between sections in podcasts, the terminology comes from radio. He was scratching his nose. Ffs.

Lewis rocking the "Steve Jobs" look
I love that this is just a continuation of sharticles after that ended. We know Simon watches digitiser, barshens isn't a stretch far from that
@23:21 careful with your hand, Simon
Pikes peak is by no means a small mountain
It always feels weird when there’s local news on PP.
14:40 it’s funny to hear him say 15 miles is “pretty far”
Lewis pushing peanuts next jingle jam?
...
Maybe not the best time of year for it though...
They use a wet/dry vacuum. Long pole with a u bend that overhangs and goes into the gutter. Health and safety enit.
So it's like Sisyphus but with Peanuts... Like... SisJIFus?
Idk there's definitely a pun in there but I can't find it

That Welsh national anthem had the right tune at least, just not starting at the beginning :P
Lewis shows his disdain for the working class
Lewis will actually get the wrong type of ladder.
