Bad example because she literally admits guilt.
Running a STOP Sign can be even worst than hefty fines …. It could be FATAL
Sounds like a scam but also that first lady has a SUSPENDED LICENSE! She SHOULD be off the road.
Lol the lady complaining about being cited for all of her REAL expired violations is a mess. If she had big someone, they probably would’ve had hell getting her insurance to pay (if that isn’t expired too). She’s an unlicensed driver…many insurance companies will not pay a claim if the car is being operated by an unlicensed driver 😒😒😒
Gretna is not playing! I guess the money is going to the streets! Hint hint New Orleans! I don't care for Gretna! Some of these people brought this on themselves! Jefferson Parish police don't play in general, especially if you are black!
They hate everyone every thing....
I mean so yeah that's a problem for sure but the opening person, she had a suspended license and expired tag... like did she think they wouldn't fine her for those things??? Not to support the cops here, but what were they supposed to do? Turn a blind eye to that?
Classic female victim hood..
Maybe there's a few too many laws. We need laws but it hard to follow all driving expectations. Driving safe is its own reward. They need more stop sign lines ,the areas too vague.
Cops are not your friends. Remember the Danziger Bridge.
Louisiana (period) impose so much/many (HIGH) fines, especially on it's residents till there's no money left for entertainment. WHAT'S NEXT, Walking too slow on the sidewalk and/or just crossing the street??? #LegalMoneyGrab 😩
IMO if you take care of your responsibility's you don't have to worry. Common sense.
Good, That's exactly the kind of ignorant people we want to get caught and fined and taken off the street or at least have insurance and registration. Just wait. Keep complaining. Your insurance gets when that you run. Stop signs. Your rates will go through the roof
I drive through the streets of Gretna and New Orleans daily. It's a more relaxed drive in Gretna than in New Orleans. Gretna Police Department keeps doing what you are doing; NOPD takes note; perhaps a traffic enforcement campaign in New Orleans could result in lower insurance costs for Orleans Parish drivers.
Don’t go through Woodworth Louisiana. It makes this town look like a cupcake
Not ticketing and fining people for breaking the law has resulted in an epidemic of unregistered, unlicensed and uninsured drivers, which cost the rest of us a lot of money. Good for Gretna. It has to be painful enough or people will never stop their illegal behavior. I say permanently seize their vehicles if they have no insurance.
So wait, all these people were actually cited for legal violations…maybe other cities should take note. Maybe that’s why it’s one of the safest cities in the country ALONG WITH HIGH PROPERTY VALUES because of this. Sounds like they’re doing things right.
I get the insurance and tags, but I know someone who got an "obstruction of a windshield" ticket, it was a freaking air freshener. Also, charging tickets for amber signal colors not matching, or broken headlights does not help the person fix their vehicle thus keeping other motorists safe, it just puts them deeper in the hole. Kind of the entire concept of "fix it tickets" If you made the repair, then you should have the ticket dropped and pay a small administration fee.
Till you get financially..robbed .....
Well …. Is City of Gretna a Tourist Attraction in anyway ?
This is a racket the feds need to look at this
Legal crooks
What law ‘Requires’ such ?
Is it the law the requires ? Or is it a Judge’s ‘discretion’
Follow the law and you don’t have to worry about being fined. Finally a city that enforces laws!
Lee, go find something more important to investigate.
