3:17 "As Picasso said, all you need to do to be a painter, is pick up a brush" *(Is Currently using her hands to paint)* "welp, that just about sums up this video"
7:49 I'm not going to lie, I was waiting for you to say, "We use odorless paint thinner, shake it off, and then, hehe, we beat the devil out of it." A JOY to watch you paint, Kayla :) Touching your palette paper almost killed me from muscle relaxation.
adarkerlight Hah! I'll be making an oil painting video soon, I just need to get some supplies. And yes, of coarse odorless paint ;) I'm so happy you liked it!
Thank you! I'm a recovering alcoholic and suffer from insomnia. It's part the withdrawal. I use music as well and that's my art. I play guitar quite often. Doing that and watching your videos help with my anxiety.
+Winner Laowai in China if you really want to stop drinking then find something that will take your mind of doing so like running or going to the gym or playing video games what ever you like and see if you can find something to make you stop like if you have kids or something do it for them idk really know how to help but you could go and get some help look up help or something around your area I hope this helped you in any way or made you think different at least hope this helped you a little bit
RAMBOJVR Yes! I love that line of his! It's something I always think about when I'm painting and I feel that I've made a blooper. I plan on doing an oil painting on an easel soon in homage to his style :)
Painting is unique in that it's only the artistic medium that's interesting to watch as an observer while it's in process... listening to a guitarist trying to write music or a writer staring into space thinking of ideas is tedious, but watching someone paint is super relaxing.
The introduction creeped me out.. the whispering just makes me look behind me.. +GentleWhispering does it way better IMO, but otherwise the trigger from the painting was good.
What eyeshadow/glitter are you wearing on your eyes? It looks so gorgeous! It's subtle but visible and beautiful at the same time. Fantastic video! Now to subscribe 😊
Cosmic Tingles It is the prettiest glitter ever! Your makeup is so subtle but it's ridiculously beautiful, I can't get over it lol I have to find me some silver glitter and try to do this on myself :)
+Cosmic Tingles ASMR are you going to be working on your old paintings soon? i really wanted to see how the woman in the forest turns out when you add the partner or animal...i love you by the way!!
This video is absolute gold!!!! There were a trillion tingles going on. I have only a few visual triggers, Painting is right on the top. Don't know why that is. The sounds mixed with the painting was a double whammy to the brain.... You always have such great ideas for videos. You're just friggin' awesome!!! Keep up the great work!! 1,000,000,000,000,000 tingles!!!!!!
That turned out really cool! Kinda looks like how a fox drinking from a lake in a field of flowers on a moonlit night would look if I were standing behind it on lsd.
Chillhouse I just realized that I turned it into a lake next to a field of flowers/ cat tail grass with a really tripped out rainbow sky after the filming ended! :0 Weird!
The sound of tapping on a canvas is wicked awesome! I literally got goosebumps just from listening to this. Oh, and the whispering, I almost fell asleep.
i personally enjoy all her unique ideas and all her efforts and creativity. i have become a big supporter of her and find all her videos soothing and entertaining
Wow...this one is good. There is no way to make it all 45 minutes without falling into a relaxed hypnotic state until you drift asleep into a state of awesomeness, haha!
This was such a relaxing video. It has that old school Bob Ross vibe to it. I really enjoyed watching you create this piece of abstract art and I obtained some insight into the creative process for visual artists. Unfortunately, I am not talented in the visual mediums but I express myself through other avenues. Everyone should have a creative outlet. It is such a healthy activity for your soul and psyche. Your painting turned out wonderful and it's beauty almost matched your own.
Jamie Fadely Thank you! But that's the whole thing! I I used techniques in this that I used with preschoolers! Anyone can do it! It's the act of painting just to play around and have fun. It's also a form of art therapy to vent and express emotions. I kept working on this actually when the camera was off and turned it into a landscape with tripped out sky above a lake lined with cat tail plants.
Cosmic Tingles I am going to try that. I have a spare room that I could use for some art therapy. I would love to see your completed painting. Will it make an appearence in a future video. I hope so. It sounds cool and trippy.
I've been watching your videos for almost a year now and am just learning about what an amazing artist you are! It's also so neat that you went to school for arts, then education, as I'm doing that right now! It makes me feel inspired to know such a wonderful person was on the same path and interested in the same things! 💓
Thank you Kayla for inspiring us to pursue our interests (painting or otherwise) that we used to be very passionate about but got left by the wayside because life got in the way. As an aside, I am looking to fill one of the barren walls in my living room with original paintings and I believe you may have the answer =)
After you swirled with the blue sponge and took it across like a wave, I was like "NOOOOOOOO DONT BLEND IT!!!!!!" Then 5 seconds later you gave the speech about letting the painting evolve! And I had to tell myself that it's your painting and not mine. I have a MASSIVE urge to paint now :-)
Daisy Sun Haha! I said that because I was feeling guilt myself about blending it. I was really focused on having it be balanced between both mics so that's why it was symmetrical most of the time. I was just using the paint to make sound triggers then I found myself getting attached to how pretty it looked. But I had to keep going to keep making the painting trigger music. I hope you paint soon too! :)
wow wow wow! I'm not done watching it yet but it's my favorite so far. you're such a pretty talented artist. Thanks for taking some of your time to help your viewers relax. :)
The last time I painted? I've never painted, at least not since grade school art class. A few years ago, I decided to try digital painting-using a tablet as my brush, with Photoshop's mixer brushes tools. I found I could immerse myself for something like 18 hours a day "painting". Nothing abstract. My parents were so surprised, they bought me actual paint tools, paints (oils), palette paper, easel, and canvas, and I started painting a ship at sea. It was so much fun-but I felt a lot of pressure to do well, so I stopped. Very sad. I'll pick it up again some day. I do maybe one digital painting a year now, if that. I found some video painter on RUclips, Paint with Kevin Hill, who basically does Bob Ross technique, but far more realistic, with less cartoonish and garish colors. I've enjoyed watching his short, edited videos. In real life, I have an immense appreciation for the Hudson River School. Was in Boston a few years back and made it a requirement to visit the museum to see actual Sargents and some Bierstadts and Churches and Coles. I was in heaven! As of the 14:00 mark, your painting looks like a hidden garden. :)
adarkerlight You should defiantly keep painting! That's really cool you use a tablet, I want to get one of those one day too. Sometimes I take long breaks too and I'm always surprised to see that even though I had't been working, my technique had evolved, just from life experience! And I love Boston! I was born in Cambridge! I'll have to check out Kevin Hill, I'm always looking for new artists. And it's funny you said that it looked like a garden because I kept working on it after the camera was off and turned it into a lake next to a meadow :)
Cosmic Tingles that sounds so lovely! I was going to ask if you paint anything closer to earth than the nebulae you have in your videos (which I love and which make AMAZING backdrops... i'm watching your eye exam video as we speak and love how you incorporated the moon into the video). Boston was fantastic. I have my swordfish restaurant and I can't wait to go back to the Warren Tavern-now that was a very pleasant bistro that was warm, comfortable, noisy, and haunted in its own way. Loved it!
adarkerlight The painting in the Eye Exam is a Castle floating on a Nebula cloud next to a Moon and two entangled photons. I paint everything: portraits, landscapes, mindscapes, still life. And I'm actually a big cartoonist at heart.
I love the use of the toy car as a painting tool!! How creative ^u^ The last time I painted was at an art bar last week-we worked with an instructor who showed us the techniques she used to recreate one of her coworkers' pieces. It was a really neat venue, and I'd love to go back. Have you ever been to anything like that?
I work in the entertainment field, doing art for video games and movies, Sometimes, to rinse clean and reset this is exactly what I do when I get home. Extremely relaxing, I'm happy to see others sharing in the experience.
I really like you and your videos! I think that bristly brush looks like a nightmare to work with though and I couldn't stop thinking about that the whole time. Lol
Putting the colours on a palette of paper, so every time you pressed down it crinkled and rustled. Very nice touch... Might I suggest a video with absinthe?.....the slow dripping of ice cold water over the sugar into the glass?
JonnyT121 Thank you so much! Welcome to my channel! I'll have prints available of my paintings on my Etsy very soon. I'll let you know when they're up :)
Hey! I tried going to your etsy shop using the link in your description, but there were no listings on your shop page. Just wondering if there's a new link or if you stopped selling your artwork cause id really love something like this in my house!
With so many layers of paint if the colors get muddled or lost I like take a text red paper towel or something and press it against spots and pull it away carefully; this will most of the time reveal the colors underneath the blended muddled ones. Basically it's like subtracting to gain more.
Good day. I'm new to the whole ASMR thing and am trying to figure out what does what. I've watched a few of your other vids and they contain some pretty cool stuff. What I do not understand is the slower talking and asking the viewer to take part in the physical (using the senses). Is this just because pretend is fun?
Hey miss tingles. The pausing here is a bit weird, but I can see the novelty in it. Anyway I've just discovered you, and you have a decently established library already without pauses so it's not an issue. You have an amazing voice, and I look forward to using you as a sleep aid. Hope you don't mind haha.
Oh God! Watching your ASMR I thought about my sister, who recently broke up with boyfriend and with which the I so rarely communicate, and I felt guilty for it. I certainly will do it tomorrow, something pleasant. I do not know how you did it, but you're an angel !
Cosmic Tingles I'll be honest - the painting itself I did not like:( I'm not a fan of abstract painting. Rather, I was impressed such effect ASMR, which you created ))
I love new york, I lived there for 2 years, I loved the contrast of the hustle and bustle of city life mixed with the serene surroundings of central park. I lived in harlem and it was never boring!
27:58 I see Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy in the green area, the little white patch on the bottom is his mouth, and it looks like his face is merging into another more angry Groot face in the red. Anyone else see it?
How did I not come across you before? I seemed to get triggered quite a lot during your videos which is a blessing considering I feel somewhat desensitised from tingles at the moment :).
This is so soothing fell asleep couple times! Lol... Could I make a request? Could you make another painting video but next time use a brush! Thank u so much!
Wow, you are just...absolutely gorgeous. You kinda look similar to Jessica Alba. Anyways, thanks for the video. I had a gigantic migraine and your soothing voice helped me get through it. Honestly, my head just felt like someone hit it with a hammer thank you soooo much.

Cosmic Tingles I'd love to see a video of you doing one of your space paintings.
adarkerlight Thank you! I hope someday soon. It'd be a really long video though haha
Hahahaha I watched the whole series of Bob's instructional videos and every time he would do exactly that.
Titanium white, midnight black, pthalo blue, elizerin crimson, sap green, dark sienna,...
I read that in Bob's voice
Anyone that says "Titanitum White" automatically gets voiced-over by the illustrious Bob Ross.
+RageAgainstMyMachine hwite*
+RageAgainstMyMachine Permanent Red!!
Titanium Hwhite lol
Thank you! I'm a recovering alcoholic and suffer from insomnia. It's part the withdrawal. I use music as well and that's my art. I play guitar quite often. Doing that and watching your videos help with my anxiety.
Good luck with that, think of all the benefits once you recover, hope you are doing well so far~

Its so BOB ROSS SLEEPY TINGLES.
There are no mistakes, just happy accidents.
Great way to relax the mind after playing Destiny.
RAMBOJVR Yes! I love that line of his! It's something I always think about when I'm painting and I feel that I've made a blooper. I plan on doing an oil painting on an easel soon in homage to his style :)
Between 36:30 and 36:35, you accidentally painted the face of a weasel. Do you see it?
I thought I was the only one 😂
haha, he even has a blue eye too
How dope is his hair doo though lol
Epic
Accidentally? Maybe not :)
Painting is unique in that it's only the artistic medium that's interesting to watch as an observer while it's in process... listening to a guitarist trying to write music or a writer staring into space thinking of ideas is tedious, but watching someone paint is super relaxing.
I've never thought of it like that, thank you
eh i like watching processes. making music, sculpting, make up, doodling, carving.... im a big ol slut for art
the sounds and pacing in this are perfect
JustAWhisperingGuy Thank you so much! Your opinion means a lot to me :)
Cosmic Tingles sounds and looks perfect
The introduction creeped me out.. the whispering just makes me look behind me.. +GentleWhispering does it way better IMO, but otherwise the trigger from the painting was good.
Haha she's totally baked lol
colours art + whispering + pretty working hands = perfect cocktail for 45 minutes of relax... awsome job madmoiselle! ^^
robmaucci Thank you
What eyeshadow/glitter are you wearing on your eyes? It looks so gorgeous! It's subtle but visible and beautiful at the same time. Fantastic video! Now to subscribe 😊
Nicole Slater Thank you so much! It's actually just silver glitter! I got it at Hot Topic years ago. No eye shadow in this video ;)

I come back to this video often. The slow, breathy whispering at the beginning always triggers me! thanks Kayla :)
It's obviously a horse riding an elephant with a bouquet of flowers through a forest of lollipops.
i personally enjoy all her unique ideas and all her efforts and creativity. i have become a big supporter of her and find all her videos soothing and entertaining

i watch this a lot... You have my favorite soft spoken voice. Plus, i love the sound of the sponge on the canvas.
@37:10... i like the sound and the painting here!

jgallow9 Thank you very much! I'm happy you enjoyed it :D
I really like you and your videos! I think that bristly brush looks like a nightmare to work with though and I couldn't stop thinking about that the whole time. Lol

Tobias Davies Sorry! Yeah I usually don't talk while I paint. It was like learning to sing while playing guitar! haha Welcome to my channel :D
In my case, the pauses triggered ASMR in me for the first time in a long time. Don't abandon them permanently, please!
i didn't watch this as much as listen to it but it's very tingle worthy *__*

Any body that's putting Bob Ross in comments I respect you
And that titanium white though
Amazing!!!! Once it hardened you should drag different things across it. Like a pallet knife or that race car again!!!! You would get so many views
Well it is hard now lol but you should do that if you still have it
Amazing, thank you.
